Church websites all look the same: We believe that Jesus is the Son of God...obviously. We teach the Bible...of course you do. I needed information from people who have attended the church to really get a feel for it. We visited on Easter Sunday in 2014, after a few months of church searching, and we didn't need to try any other churches after that. A quick synopsis of the churches we tried before I launch into how SH is different. We tried 4 churches before StoryHeights, and 3 of the 4 we visited twice to give them a fair shot. These churches fell into 1 of 2 categories. 1) The people were friendly, but the church was spiritless (they sang about the joy of the Lord, but no one was smiling). 2) The Spirit was moving through the church, but no one beyond the front door greeter spoke to us. SH hit the perfect combination: Spirit-filled and friendly. Everyone in the church was excited to be there, to be worshipping, to be learning, and to be in fellowship. Everyone was so friendly, too! It wasn't just "Hi, what's your name? Glad you're here." They genuinely want to know about us, what brought us to the area, where we were from... And then each person introduced us to another person, trying to connect us with someone in a similar line of work or from the same part of the county. We felt quite at home! Some of my other favorite things about StoryHeights: --The kids program is fantastic. Our girls love going to church on Sunday (any day of the week we'll take them, really), and we never have to worry that they are well cared for. --The pastors know their stuff, but they don't take themselves to seriously. The sermons are funny and applicable, but they don't water down the Message. They also make a point to truly know everyone in the church. --Whether you show up in blue jeans and a t-shirt or a dress and heels, you're more than welcome. StoryHeights loves everybody, and we love you just the way you are. --There's something for everyone. Whatever your thing is, there's an activity or a group for you. I'm a special educator, so our annual Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt is the perfect way for me to combine two really important areas of my life. My husband thrives on fellowship, so meeting with a Grow Group each week really fuels him. I hope that someone who reads this review finds it helpful. I encourage you to give SH a try. I'm confident that you'll feel at home, too.

A friend of mine invited me to a Sunday service, and I was happy to check out the church. It was interesting for me being born in raised in New England (only speaking English), to go to a service that was in Russian with live English translation. I loved it! New Generation is a group of believers focused on one thing; Jesus Christ. They are a church who are after God's own heart, and care about helping people have a closer personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus, not religion. It has been almost 3 years since I first visited NG Boston, and I am proud to call this church home, and the people here my family. If you're looking to get closer with God, curious, or searching for a church to call home, please stop by for a visit any Sunday at 11:00AM or for prayer any Wednesday at 7:30PM!
