I've been a patient of CR medical group for about 22 years now. Maybe more. I have been going to…read morethis practice since it was located on Rte 30! I'm leaving a review because I'm upset and disappointed by my most recent experience at this medical group. I scheduled an appointment, which did not have to be same day, but they mentioned there was openings as early as 11am today (06/08/26). I ended up waiting over 70 minutes to be seen by the doctor. A 30 minute wait I would understand, but an hour and 10 minutes is crazy. Especially on a weekday that I need to be at my job. When the physician, Dr. Catherine McDoniel, entered the room, she acknowledged I was at the window looking out. I politely mentioned I was checking out the views because I've been waiting for a little bit. Instead of acknowledging the concern, she responded in a way that I felt was dismissive and confrontational, asking, "What did you expect? You booked the appointment same day?" and suggested I go to urgent care instead. I remained respectful and simply explained that I had expected to be seen closer to my scheduled appointment time. The interaction continued to feel defensive, and I ultimately left crying without receiving care. I asked the front desk to refund my copay, which they were able to take care of and apologized for what happened. After I left the building, the front desk called me again apologizing for what had happened. The front desk staff were kind and professional, but the physician interaction was upsetting and left me feeling unheard and disrespected. And I left without the medical attention I needed. I believe the multiple apologies I've received over this incident is important to note as it confirms this encounter was problematic. I do not recommend Dr Catherine McDoniel.

Not only are their hours of operation are extremely limited, but they also take a 90 minute lunch break. They are extremely limited in their hours in case your sick and need to see someone ASAP. Besides having to call them multiple times to get a simple refill on a medicine. Having to call the pharmacy two or three times to see if the doctor submitted a prescription, I had to call them two or three times to get them to send the prescription. They made multiple billing errors charging me for my annual physical, then not billing me for a doctors visit. Their office manager Mary is a bossy, rule quoter, who does significantly more talking, not listening. She doesn't treat you as a person, customer or a patient. Its all about her being right and she will talk down to you until you decide to stop listening. She is as uncaring as an ex-spouse. There are no redeemable qualities about this practice. Dr. Mulki is about as hands off and un-involved as a doctor can get. I had major surgery done recently. Did he visit me once during my hospital stay "no". He left it to the in-house hospital doctor. I only need one prescription through their office and it was harder to get then money from the government. He referred all my prescriptions to my specialist, complete hands off. Couldn't diagnose a simple foot infection either. Run away from this practice.

It included blood pressure, EKG, blood work, urinalysis, etc. This ruled out a life-threatening emergency . I was reevaluated every few hrs or so. At that point, I could have left since a heart attack was ruled out, or I'm sure I would have received immediate care. A triage nurse has extra training in emergency evaluations. I was seen by the doctor after 14 hrs. of waiting and then admitted for two days. This is just my opinion. I think a lot of the people in the ER could have gone to an urgent care or waited to see their doctor the next day. Some people did leave. I guess they decided they weren't that sick. The wait time is ridiculous, but what can the hospital and staff do when people keep coming in. There are also ambulances coming in as well. The staff did their best to make people as comfortable as possible. In my opinion the staff work very hard to take care of the patients. I don't know what the solution is, but I do know it's people much higher up that need to fix the problem . It's sure not the staff.

5 Stars for Dr. Greathouse but negative stars for Provena!…read more I still adore Dr. Greathouse, but their office is disorganized, as I mentioned before. The third or fourth time I went in, it was just for a blood draw for labs (wasn't seeing the doctor at all) and it took them 30 minutes to find the order. I could hear the nurse and receptionist talking about me that I'd never been there before. Then the receptionist called me to the desk and said, "You've never seen the doctor. You've only been here for a flu shot!" She was right that I did get a flu shot in November. (But wrong on everything else). Finally, they found the lab order. I wanted to leave and say screw it, but I was leaving the next day for a road trip (ROAD TRIP!) for a three weeks, so I needed it taken care of right then. Thus, I should not be surprised that their billing department is totally messed up. I keep getting bills from a third-party billing company, and when I called the other day, they said they couldn't access Provena's system, so they couldn't see if the payment came in. I said, "Let me get this straight: Provena hired you to handle billing, but payments come to them, not to you, and they post them in their system that you cannot see?" Yes. My insurance company says they paid the claim in full on May 5, and I'm inclined to believe them if only because they've paid the other other claims on this policy (my domestic partner has seen several physicians and even been hospitalized ) in a timely manner. I recommend Dr. Greathouse, but I don't recommend Provena. Avoid Provena at all costs. I want her to move to another clinic. I don't want to lose her (it's hard to find a doc you like, am I right, ladies?) but I don't know if I can deal with Provena any more. I'm worried for my credit rating. And I've worked hard for that credit rating.

There was an item on the bill called Drug Spec ID Detail Coding for $4097. Altogether, the bill was about $26,000!! And that doesn't include the doctors! We first learned of Vitalife from your show, Windy City Live, a show we like and trust. Vitalife's…read moreclaim to fame was learn how to lose weight and keep it off, without having to work out like crazy and learning how to eat in a healthy way for our own individual needs. We went to the office (in the Schaumburg office which wasn't on Yelp) and they start out by looking over our general weight and health. They explain that Vitalife is a diet plan that you stick to for 40 days then a maintenance time after, and you can either stop there or repeat the cycle until you are to your goal weight. Sounded similar to other diet plans and they really sold the individualization of it all. All mind you, while you are in a room that you are being recorded visually and audio without them clearly telling you. It is stated out the main entrance that there is surveillance on the property, but not in this manner. At times the salesman even said he'd give us a few moments to discuss between ourselves to decide, and then would return even more convincing and encouraging. That's because he was watching and listening to our assumed private conversation without our knowledge. We signed up thinking this was a customized diet plan for $1,200. Expensive, but they sold it well. Then they have you do a scan of putting your hand on a metal sensor, which is a scam. It tells you a ton of random things that you would need multiple blood tests from medical and mental health professionals to know. For example, a red flag for us was that it told me I had a reading/input from my gallbladder, which I have been told by gastrointestinal specialists my whole life is non-functioning. They also give you "affirmations" that are supposed to pertain to our "needs" such as "I won't be upset about mistakes made with money" or "I will remember to live in God's image." These affirmations were completely disjointed from anything they know about us, and myself being a certified mental health therapist, they are inappropriate and irresponsible. They then come out with a bag full of 7 different substances that you are supposed to take in excess daily, while starving yourself. Eating 8-10 oz of protein, 1 piece of fruit, and vegetables a day for 40 days. They do state to make sure not to eat less than 500 calories a day, but give little guidance as to how many calories different produce is or how to find this. The amounts of food they were saying to eat would put most people into starvation mode and could cause major health issues. Not to mention the substance are chalked full of random things, with little to no explanation on what is in them, and by non-medical professionals. We were warned not to drink one of them too fast because it would make us sick and to drink it over the course of 3-5 hours. What the hell is in that, that would make us sick!?! and I am being advised to ingest this everyday for over a month!?! Between the recommendation to starve yourself and take an abundance of "substances" throughout the day, my mother and I who had misguidedly signed up for this program would have ended up sick. We left their office overwhelmed and confused, having all of our answers either dodged or answered in circular responses providing no real information. We got home and read the plan fully, not been given the chance to in the office, and we're appalled at the negligence of this program. I personally wasn't even given any printout from my "scan" because of "printer issues", so was not able to even read it until I got home. It also says not to work out while on the program, probably because it would cause someone in starvation mode to pass out and need medical attention. Any weight loss plan that says explicitly not to work out is clearly unhealthy. Everyone knows a healthy, well rounded diet and exercise is what is needed for a healthy lifestyle. Last but not least, the back of the book starts talking about how we need to live pure and in God's image, quoting the Old Testament and comparing the purity of Adam and Eve. None of this was mentioned in the office or their sales pitch. We called as soon as the office was open to cancel and they told us they were going to keep $600 of what we had signed on for, for the price of the "scan" which produced a bunch of non-sense. Also, that we were required to return the heavy bag full of substances they had given us. We are now angry and feeling used and misguided. They sold their program as something very different from what it was and are now stealing hundreds of dollars from people, like us, that they trick. Don't buy into this program for your health and financial well-being. This program has aspects of scam and cult-like feeling. It starts as something sounding legitimate and then as soon as you sign their contract, it ends up being something very different.
