Trying to find the correct person to help with an issue or anyone at all to answer the phone in billing is near impossible. They sent a bill of mine to CBC to collect. I was never sent this bill. Nothing in the mail. No email. No phone call. Nothing before they sent it to collections. My account "financial educator" couldn't even tell me what the bill was for. I've been asking for a full statement of my account for weeks and even that is too difficult for them to manage. Trying to get information on the charge requires endless follow up on my part and it is still unresolved more than 2 months later. And this is just the latest of several issues I've had with their billing department. Since 2022, I've been asked to fill out multiple forms, consents and sign up for 5 or 6 different portals as they've changed ownership, yet still they send mail to the wrong address or text me bills instead of emailing them despite multiple requests not to text. This does not instill trust or confidence in a medical practice.  Regarding their medical staff, the doctors and nurses are nice and competent and I do believe Dr. Klein and his coordinator Jenna tried to help me and my fiancé, but the entire practice or company more accurately, feels like a factory. You don't see your doctor during most or every visit, just whoever is available on that day. One visit, I had side effects from a medication that seemed unusual and the doctor I saw said she'd never encountered it, shrugged and didn't have anything to say other than "let us know if it gets worse or doesn't go away." I also had significant side effects both immediately after and weeks after my trigger medication that I was never warned about. Reddit subs were more helpful than RMA in these cases - it seems these side effects were all fairly common. If we try again, we might have considered continuing with RMA because finding and trying a new practice is full of it's own uncertainty and risks, but after this latest billing issue, never again. Every interaction with RMA on the billing/admin side has been infuriating, riddled with incompetence, and simply bad business. There are other options out there, save yourself the frustration and avoid RMA.

A year after the forms were signed, I was told there was a clinical error but my initial dates would be honored. Then the bills came. Impossible to get someone on the phone, when I finally did I was first told don't worry, it's a new billing system acting up, ignore the bills. Then the bills came again and I thought we were finally done after yet another round with the billing dept, but now a collection agency is in the mix. It's been impossible to get an accurate breakdown of what we are even being billed for and at this point I just want to pay and move on. So, beware I suppose if you choose RMA, be very clear and capture all communication so you have it if needed.

As soon as my name was called I was greeted by his assistant who used to be Dr Frey's assistant and she remembered me and she is literally one of the kindest human beings ever so my attitude that was building up from my long wait quickly went out the window Lol Dr. Berk, when be finally came in was also amazing. However, I just received a voicemail today (8/28/23) saying they again need to cancel my appointment and to call to reschedule- oh, and the next available is now December 2023. Ridiculous.

I met 8/10 doctors during my prenatal appointments and they were all wonderful, informative. The office staff was friendly and helpful- and I just knew I would be taken care of. When I was at 41 weeks with no baby we scheduled for induction. I saw many of the friendly face at Phelps I'd met over the last 9 months and Dr Spriyda was there to help me give birth. My whole experience with the practice and giving birth I felt so taken care of, and with any questions or concerns the doctors were responsive. If you are pregnant and looking for a good team of doctors and place to give birth- this is it.

She did a thorough exam, reviewed all records and previous ultrasounds, and gave a detailed description of the diagnosis, therapy and outcome and spoke on a level that my son could understand. She also spoke to him privately (he's 16 years old) to see if he had any concerns or questions that he wasn't comfortable discussing in front of mom. It's obvious that she genuinely cares about her patients. I highly recommend her!

That said, my experiences with Dr. Mieszerski have been nothing short of exemplary. She is thorough, smart, experienced, and kind. Asks intelligent questions, and listens to the answers. She thinks outside the box. And, wonder of wonders, she takes the time to fully understand and respond to your concerns. Everyone in her office is responsive, warm, caring. It's the way health care should work.

Every time I have an appointment, I will get the "Dana, you are overweight" lecture. According to my BMI, yes, I am overweight. Conversely, my resting pulse is 56, I can run a mile in a little over 7 minutes, and my dimensions are 33-25-34.5*. I really loathe doctors and their blind reliance on BMI charts, it's like giving a baby a hammer and everything becomes a nail. *Maybe I've won the title of World's Fittest and Petite Overweight Person!

My first annual visit was so pleasant I was excited to receive care here but once I became pregnant the problems started to arise. I did not receive a pregnancy packet of information for a healthy pregnancy or the REQUIRED discussion with their nurse until my 20 week appointment. I was asked if my morning sickness continuing into 20 weeks was a "me problem" I did not receive information meant to be distributed at 28 weeks, until 32 weeks Their website was 10 years outdated and had incorrect information about birth practices at Phelps hospital, when I found this out I tried to contact them to get answers and was pacified being told they would "get to the bottom of this and make sure to get you answers" instead I was scheduled with a new midwife who when I asked about this, I was told she had no idea and didn't know any of the hospital practices. It then took additional weeks for them to not correct their website, but completely remove it. When I continued to bring up my concerns over lack of information on hospital policy I was told I should look into home birth options (it was too late in my pregnancy to find a home birth midwife who was accepting new clients with my due date). I never ended up meeting all the midwives before my delivery I went to the hospital for prodromal labour and was told I should stay since "they were going to induce me tomorrow anyway" but I was never informed of this previously. I opted to leave and was informed by a nurse I needed to sign an AMA that I was choosing to leave. I asked the midwife on call if this was true and she said she did not know the hospital policy. I was constantly being hounded to schedule an induction despite multiple refusals and a MFM doctor telling me my placenta looked healthy and he had no concerns about me waiting until 41+4 to induce. When I did go into labour (not induced) I was terrified to find out that the midwife who I felt completely uncomfortable with due to multiple negative appointments was on call. I told myself I just had to wait 12 hours and a new midwife would be on- nope! Kathy Herron was on call for 24 hours and made my labour so uncomfortable. She was rude, hostile and honestly traumatizing. She laughed at me while I tried to work through labour pain and was having a difficult time. She continually asked me to break my waters which I constantly refused then they "just broke in her hands". I fully believe she broke my water without my consent even though I made it clear that was NOT what I wanted. When it was time to push, I told her I needed a moment to prepare myself mentally and she said "most women would be happy right now". She wanted me to give birth how she wanted and when she wanted. I wish I could give my experience 0 stars and am genuinely afraid for other women to have this same experience.

I felt at ease and prepared for my delivery . This is my third baby. I've delivered with both an OB and another Midwife practice. This has been my best experience, not to mention my best recovery, definitely because of how my delivery went. It was not easy to find a midwife practice in westChester but I'm glad I landed here and found a practice that aligned with my vision. From wait time, insurance, prenatal and post natal visits, I could not ask for more.

So, I was in the market for a new OBGYN. Dr. Kwon is very warm, welcoming and personable. She listened to all of my concerns! This (sadly) was a breath of fresh air and foreign to me. I've always experienced dismissive medical professionals who can care less about my concerns and even met with contempt. Her nurse was very sweet as well. Sure, it isn't a big office, more importantly to me is, that it is clean and sanitary which brought me great comfort during COVID times. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. I feel blessed to have found her and wish I could hug her. I went out on a limb finding her on ZocDoc, only to be pleasantly surprised! Thank you!
