Food came out reasonably fast, all entrees were hot and wonderful. A nice experience overall and would recommend for a solid dinner.

Eh. Its fine. You get a generous amount of food for the price, and it is pretty tasty. I got a lunch offer for my choice of a couple dishes that came with rice and naan bread (which is a small extra cost). And it was a nice enough day to sit outside to eat without needing additional heat. Inside, the restrooms are upstairs (important information for those concerned about accessibility) and the available seating inside is unbelievable! So much inside space! Service is where things fell down a bit. We ordered at the outside counter/bar. The woman taking orders just seemed annoyed that we were even there. Then, she either said the wrong amount or didn't speak clearly enough when my friend asked how much a beer was. The single beer cost more than the main meal, I believe. So after ordering and pouring it, we then SAW the price and realized she didn't want to pay that much. But that was not a pleasant conversation to have with the server. So I swallowed the cost of the beer just to keep everything calm. But the ok-beer is not worth the cost. This Indian food place (the name made me think more Thai...but it is Indian) located in the Lilla Torg square, is competitive when it comes to price. But I think you could get much better service and probably better food at several of the other restaurants on the square. read more

Not such a nice experience. The waitress was rude and very impatient. I know our English isn't perfect, and my Swedish is terrible, but there was no reason to be rude and impatient with us. The food was good but the portions are a fraction of what we're used to in Indian restaurants normally. We came there smiling, and got out not completely satisfied. read more

Service: Started off good but went downhill pretty quickly. We didnt order anything crazy or special and there was only two of us. Five tables say after us (started counting at two) and received there food before us. No biggie but it was the same dishes we ordered at three of the tablea. Food: I ordered Chicken Tikki Masala it came out not cold but not warm. Very tomatoey/red and too sweet. The texture was gritty which also threw me off. My friend had the chicken balti dish and that was actually pretty tasty. I am giving two stars only because my friend enjoyed her dish and the naan was good. This was just not a good experience and i would not recommend especially for the price and quality if service. read more

Bad service . And Baaad food . That's all I can say . In fact it is no where close to any Indian food I have ever made or tasted. After 15 min of waiting we hailed a waiter to take our order . Appetizer came after 25 min . These People are serving fake Indian food . Onion Bhaji were raw inside . Samosas were oily as if double fried and badly warped at someone's home . The bartender DIDNOT care what we ordered , and gave half a shot of VODKA charged for a whole drink . Had no gin and no Grey Goose . But our waiter Amanda was really nice . Sloooow service took 45 min to get appetizer and dinner we ordered and waited 45 min to arrive but we cancelled and walked away . It seems like no one cared, believe me Indians are never rude to anybody . The owner and waiters are rude and careless . The restaurant is probably not owned by Indians. read more

The food was ok. Just ok. I wish I'd read the reviews on service before I chose this place. Ugh. Virtually non-existent. There was only 2 tables there as I walked in. I finally had to ask where I should sit. Without going on and on, let me just say my experience of waiting, no food for a long time, and complete indifference from staff from the time I walked in until I left was exactly like so many of the reviews. The food was really but the service was terrible. We had to change the time and they removed us from the list due to misunderstanding, so we had to wait for a table even though we had booked one. We asked for water and they brought only one glass. Later on, we asked for some spoons and more water but they completely ignored that. Worst of all, I precisely asked the waiter for a very mild dish and my food was so hot I couldn't eat it without water. I stopped in with a buddy today for a quick bite to eat. We hadn't tried the food here yet, so thought we'd give it a shot. Indian Side is on Lilla Torg and has ample outdoor seating and a few indoor tables as well. The meal started with some vegetable samosas and naan. We ordered the garlic naan which was fantastic and one order was good for the two of us. The samosas were just okay, not great. We also split the tandoori chicken. This was very good and the meat fell off the bone. The flavors were perfect. We also split an order of a beef curry. I can't remember what it was called but it had a medium heat. This also mixed with the rice and finished off the meal well. I wanted to have some gulab jamun, but the server didn't know what that was. Hmmmm. Flat out the worst service of any restaurant we have experienced on this trip to Europe, and one of the worst ever. The waitress was just plain rude. It took forever to get our order in. Then the wait. The long, long, long wait. Over half an hour for the appetizer to come out. More than an hour for the main dishes. Barely an apology, and certainly no courtesy for this ridiculous wait. Portions were a tad on the small side, especially at those prices, and the food was decent but not exceptional in any way. The food here was good, although I was a little bit surprised that an Indian restaurant would run out of papadams. They had drinks on the menu that they did not actually have in the restaurant and the service was mediocre. The butter Tikka Masala was too sweet for a masala and the Korma was very sweet as well but still good. Our first waitress seemed uninterested and did not pay attention to our order but the waiter who took over for her was very attentive. Not sure I would come here again, a bit too pricy for poor service and okay food.(The bathroom was not clean and had toilet paper all over the floor, which did not help the restaurant's rating at all). read more

For food alone, I would have rated 4 stars. We had a couple chicken dishes, one really spicy and the other one had lots of tropical fruit in it. Not sure how authentic the dishes really are as most of the other reviewers seem skeptical. But I thought the food was really really good. However....the service was TERRIBLE! I would never come back here, despite the amazing food. The waitress was very nice, but the service was so slow. It took an hour and a half for our food to finally come out (we only ordered 2 dishes and bread). We were supposed to get one order of bread out early. That never came as promised--we got it a little after we received our entrees. At the end of the meal, I wanted to take my leftovers home with me because I enjoyed the food so much. The waitress took it back to have it boxed up in the kitchen and she never came back. We wanted to leave soon, as we had been there for 2 hours at this point. We got up and stood by the bar to make it known that we were on our way out and wanted our box of leftovers. The waitress continued to lie to us, saying they were still boxing it up---how long does that take, really? I knew at that point that they had thrown it all out but they weren't manning up to just say it so we could get on with our lives. Finally after 5 or 6 minutes of shuffling around, the waitress came and told us that the leftovers were thrown out. No apology, no offer to make a little plate for us to take--which to be honest, we wouldn't have waited another hour and a half to get the food. But they did throw away half of my meal which would have been enough for a whole lunch. So I was pretty mad about that waste, especially for the price they got for the meal. All in all, I would say stay away unless you have tons of time on your hand. If you want your leftovers to actually make it home with you, request them to bring you the box so you can do it yourself! I will be looking for a different Indian restaurant to go to in Malmö next time. read more
