    Chocolate mousse
    Kelly S.

We had a late lunch here and it was very good. They gave us a seat by the windows looking out at the river. We ordered a lobster ravioli appetizer, which I liked but my husband didn't. I ordered the fish and chips while my husband had the open-faced chicken salad sandwich. Both of these items were delicious. My fish was just a tad over cooked, but still tasty. The sandwich had bacon crumbles on top, which made it even better! I saw chocolate mousse on the dessert menu so I also ordered that. It was supposed to come with raspberry sauce, but it came out with a layer of sliced almond and fresh fruit. The food is a bit on the pricey side, but our server Magdalena was amazing.

Ravioli with lobster ~ boring , not fresh.. mass produced and frozen just to be reheated. I rather eat store bought.

Arrived in the evening around 20:30,the sign said "please wait to be seated" ok so we stood still as we reached the sign, however greeted by a young man in the kitchen up front telling us we can sit anywhere we like and he will let his colleagues know. While we walked the dining area the small and big waitresses gave us like a "what the hell are you guys doing" kind of look. We asked for menu and got no answer back just a judgemental look. The first word coming from the big waitress mouth when she reached our table. "Stop being so rude, there is actually a sign saying please wait to be seated" - I however had to stop her there and say we did wait, and your colleague told us to go in. This is a lack of communication and the service ain't working at all. I mean if that guy in the kitchen ain't got much to do he might as well stand by the door and follow people to the table. We were left ALONE in the entrance. While this big waitresses was getting our table ready and wiping the other table she said to my companion who asked for the menu that "WE are no DOGS here" and then she left. * Like what the hell did we burn down your house in the previous life or what is wrong with you??? Well onto the food, Crispy rice paper ~ Wow what a scam. Whoever thought of this must be a "genius" if you look at the amount compared to the actual salmon. *BONUS* look at the bottom right corner of the crisp... BINGO that's just oil that's not even drained properly from the frying and served directly to me. GRAND FINALE. Rib eye steak~ 300DKK . Salad boring, taste like recently washed not drained and too bitter. Sauce~ bland no seasoning at all just "juice" I guess from the MEDIUM Cooked meat I asked for which was hardly seasoned properly, uneven cooked meat on the parts with one side being RAW and one side almost well done, and seriously the POTATOES had more salt seasoning than this "RIBEYE steak" what a scam. And you have the guts to fill the whole dining wall explaining different parts of a cow and what tastes the best when you cannot even deliver. Views ~ beautiful nice scenery ruined by pissed of waitresses and 1 minute food. BREAKFAST IS AMAZING however don't eat here during the evening. Damage 1100DKK not even worth it. For that amount a better experience will be appreciated somewhere else if you wanna have a nice dinner in the city of Copenhagen with loved one. *I tried to restrain myself from the verbal usage after we been called rude and dogs. Quote- Don't be RUDE .... We are NO DOGS here - -"BigFatOverweight Lady"

I am not sure how the dinner bill came out to ben$81 USD on the credit card when the steak was $50 when I looked at the menu. The salad costs $30?

Yup, this is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Copenhagen!…read more I will try to keep this short and sweet, because if I start raving on, there's probably no stopping me. I've lived in New Orleans for a while, and I've been on the lookout for a place with great Southern food (House of Souls is another great address for that, btw), and I'm so, so glad that Alabama Social is here to fulfill all my cravings for hot wings, jerk chicken, and cornbread! The hot wings definitely deserve a special shout-out; as do the fries, which are just perfection, served with creole mayo. Their menu changes regularly, and they're recently started serving Po' Boy sandwiches for lunch, which I'm eager to try. Staff has always been friendly and attentive, and I'm personally a huge fan of both the location by the lakes and the interior with dark wood and open kitchen. Bottom line is, I cannot recommend this place enough, and I wish I could eat there every day (and not get fat)!

My wife's colleague suggested we try this place. Why would Americans go to an American restaurant…read morein Denmark? Because it is good. We ordered three course tasting menus, getting six different items between us: a biscuit with pulled pork and a biscuit with pulled beef for appetizers, brisket and baby back ribs for entrees along with sides that included French fries, slaw, and cornbread, chocolate and coconut sundae for dessert as well as a butterscotch pie. I also got a drink called a Harley Davidson which is their take on an old fashioned. The biscuits were smaller than a good ol American buttermilk biscuit, but stood up nicely to the pork and beef. The pork had a nice texture and a tasty Asian slaw, but there was way too much mayonnaise on top. The beef was also a nice texture but I was missing bbq sauce. The brisket entree was a small portion of tender beef topped with onions and some herbs. It wasn't quite bbq, almost more like corned beef. The ribs were charred and spicy. The overall texture and flavor was similar to Chinese spare ribs in some ways. The portion was rather generous compared to the brisket. The side dishes really stole the show. The corn bread was spot on and the accompanying sweet and spicy butter brought it to a new level. The French fries had a good texture and weren't over salted. The slaw was not mayonnaisey. It was an Asian style slaw with a light dressing. My wife asked for an extra order to go she liked it so much. Dessert was a mixed bag. The chocolate and coconut ice cream sundae was well-composed but a little gun shy on the flavors. The butterscotch pie was actually a salted caramel pie, delicious, with a buttermilk ice cream that wasn't much to my taste. Service was good and friendly. The atmosphere was approachable and unpretentious.

Part of the appeal of the cafe is the overall atmosphere. The cafe in a few steps down from the street in a cozy space. Benches with throw pillows line the walls with art and plants that brighten the space. There are a few two chair tables that line the street as well. The owner is a lovely, friendly women from San Fransisco. She makes the cheesecake from scratch. She and her partner were both there during my visit and checked in to make sure all of the customers were enjoying what they ordered. I appreciated the interaction and that they cared whether I liked the cake. The cheesecake is served plain with a side of your choice of fruit sauce. I had the cherry cinnamon and it was incredible. I liked that the sauce was served on the side as it allowed you to choose the amount (though it's so good you will finish it one way or another. Apparently some people have been observed drinking what is left). The rest of the menu is fairly basic: salads, sandwiches and burritos. Considering the prices in Copenhagen, theirs were reasonable for a full sized meal (based on the other reviewer's photos). I only stopped for dessert, based on how good the cheesecake was, I would have liked to try one of the other items. High recommendation!

Not much of a difference since CPH is freezing these days but the cake may be a bit mushed depending on your commute since the plastic box isn't a snug fit. **Tip: there is a credit card fee. Cheesecake quality: at 50kr, it's definitely steep for the smaller size. But the cheesecake still tasted divine even after the 30min commute home. It comes with several sauce options, though the owner recommended the raspberry. The cheesecake was packed full of taste without it though, so not a worry! My favorite part is the bottom crumb base. Most cheesecakes are bland or too hard for the fork to get through, but this was soft enough and flavorful that I had every last crumb. The cheesecake itself had a mouthwatering texture that melted in my mouth. TLDR: Pricey but I'd do it again.

And I tell you the size of main courses are big enough and if you are really hungry, there is a desert menu. They have really great meat. Why? Because the meat is hung in the fridge for one month, so when you grill it, it's perfectly tender and juicy! What a difference it makes. I usually don't comment about the interior so much, but now I have to! The interior is very modern, has a USA signature but with a CPH influence, fresh, trendy, nice layout with private sections, dominant materials are wood and red leather .... Really nice. What makes this place REALLY special in the fact that this place is run by O'LEARYS, which demonstrates a true feeling of teamwork. Cesar, a Spanish manager keeps workers happy and they take care of the business. I talked to most of the workers on their shift and everyone said, they are happy and that they feel lucky to be working there. I have much much more to add, but this review would be too long. As it turned out there weren't many for this location as they had just recently opened. Their 'sister' restaurants in Sweden, though, had quiet a few reviews, most all stellar. Though it was a bit pricey, I was craving a good rib-eyes, so we cleaned up a bit and off we went. Though there is a formal street side entrance for the Boston Grill Mayfair, it is actually the restaurant for the Hotel Mayfair and shares a common patio with the hotel. If you enter from the street, they greet you at the entrance and escort you back past the bar to their main dinning area. It was still a bit early by European standards, so the dinning areas were sparse with customers. OK by us though as the service was prompt and attentive. As planned, I ordered the rib-eye, but not as planned, they offered a larger cut which was 'suitable for sharing' which is exactly what we did. They split the sides in the kitchen on two separate plates and let us carve out our own portions of the main course. It was cooked just to our order, tender and juicy. One of the best rib-eye's I've had in awhile. I would definitely recommend it!

Ranked as the 6th best burger in the world by Food and Wine magazine in 2024 ("Organic beef…read morecheeseburger with onions, pickles, and a house Gasoline Sauce. $16 "), the Gasoline Grill hamburger restaurant has multiple locations throughout Denmark. It's one of those things where I was glad I stopped by, but didn't really experience anything with the food or ambiance that would make me recommend this as a out-of-the way stop that the ranking would seem to suggest. This one is the original, using the station building as a walk-up window with the kitchen inside. They have a few picnic tables on the side for outdoor dining, and I do think that it's important to eat the burger as soon as possible. The interesting thing is that it is still a working gas station, with an island with multiple pumps dispensing petrol (which I didn't see being used during my wait) and some electric charging stations (which was actively being used). I was able to place my order (nothing customized, just wanted exactly as they described after about a 10 minute wait, got my lemonade right away, and waited another 10 minutes to get my food (everything is made-to-order). The cheeseburger was 110 DKK, fries was 40, lemonade was 35, and dipping sauce was 10 with 10 off for being a combo. So total was 185 DKK (about $28.88 in USD). The process and food reminded me very much of a Shake Shack, with the young workers working together to produce well-made smashburgers using great ingredients. The color scheme reminds me of a Wingstop, though. I squeezed between a couple of single diners and dug in. The burger was good, with that loose smash burger quality. It came with a mayo based thousand island like sauce (their gasoline sauce), and had tomato, pickles, red onion slices, and a gooey, plentiful cheese. The lemonade was good, and the hint of elderflower made it memorable. The crinkle fries were good, well done fried which I appreciate. Ate the meal fast before my hands started to freeze up, tossed the remains in the gas station islands garbage bin and was on my way. I really do think a food like this is all about where you eat it...if on an airplane, or at a ballpark, or at the beach...yeah, I could see the appeal. But at a gas station in freezing weather on a picnic table...not so much.

It's the kind of spot where you can hang out with friends, enjoy good food, and not feel rushed. Service was excellent. Everything came out promptly, and you could see they genuinely wanted customers to have a good experience.
