Bison was hired by DVIS (Domestic Violence Intervention Services) to get me safely out of my home last August 2025 and Bison failed to provide this. I did everything I was supposed to do and reported what happened to DVIS. That former case mgr told me to call Bison. This in the middle of an out-of-town relocation for my own safety and during recovery from two illnesses while experiencing DV. The owner has the audacity to suggest on Yelp 2 things: That I was reaching out to him (reframing) and that I was somehow responsible for what took place, which is a very interesting way to look at things. In truth, I reached out to the business the week before moving day because I knew I wasn't going to be ready for them to move everything by that Friday. The DVIS case manager, who is a good friend of the business owner (her words) told me to call them and asked for extra help. I have chronic Lyme disease and was recovering from mononucleosis (reactivated Epstein Barr virus due to extreme stress). I'm also a senior. Bison Moving said they had no availability. I was left with no one to turn to for help. The business owner has recently stated on here that he fired his employee, J, over the incident. Good to know -- when I called to speak to the owner in Sept 2025, I was met with hostility and no update. But this predator is still out there somewhere, stated to me that he'd worked there for 5 years, and was 27 at the time. He still felt comfortable enough to text me a week after the move "to check on me and see if I needed any more help". It was scary. He showed no anxiety while in my home on that Friday and Saturday, was very superficially charming and arrogant. He had likely done this before and will likely do it again, only next time it may be worse. Women -- take precautions with all strange men coming into your home. You must protect yourselves from these types because they're everywhere right now. Bison Moving's crew walked into my home knowing why they were there -- J expressed his sympathy and asked for a hug first thing, and it felt icky. He knew I was vulnerable, exhausted, and desperate because he knew DVIS had contracted the move. They all knew. He later asked if he could take his shirt off. I fed two of the crew members because one of them told me he had not even eaten before showing up to work and responded that he was hungry when I asked. And I worked right alongside them, even though I was very ill. At the end of that day when we were all on the elevator, J asked me if I was going to give them a big tip. It was a horrible experience all around. And then J showed up the next day since he just happened to be free on Saturday -- to use more coercive control and assault me, and make some good cash. He told me it was fine with Bison and he did it all the time. He was the team leader and the other two guys said nothing. Fortunately, another company was hired to finish the job at a later date by moving me to my actual new city, and they were fantastic. Zero issues, I felt safe and they exhibited total professionalism, so it is possible.

The reason for the 3 star instead of 5 star: a man who came to my door quoted me a 4-6 hour moving time after looking at my home; he also gave me a price estimate. They sent out 3 men and a truck, starting at 9:30am. They were unable to pack all my things in one truck, and had to go back (an hour +delay), finishing the job at 8pm. The cost was shockingly higher than I originally expected. The movers themselves told me they should have arranged 5 men and two trucks to complete the job in a much shorter timeframe. This is a management issue that should be addressed.

We hired a crew of 3 for the day. They worked hard and were very helpful. We did end up paying more than planned, but I chalk that up to the fact my in laws had done even less packing than we had expected, and they had more items than we realized, so time added up. They also came back at the end of the week to move a handful of things from storage, including very heavy, full filing cabinets of genealogy paperwork that is important to my FIL. It takes a rare talent to load a U-Haul 5x8 trailer and have a well distributed load. They fit everything like a puzzle and they did it in 2 hours. And, after reading these Yelp reviews, it appears owner Josh Keeler hasn't done much to curb the theft issue within his company for several years. On 6/18/26 2 Fellas Moving Co. was hired to move part of our household to storage as part of a restoration situation after a pipe burst in our home. Three men came, loaded the truck & left. Shortly after they left, we realized our jewelry had been stolen. (Engagement, wedding & 40th anniversary rings & more) We called for the moving truck to be sent back, which it was. Several managers & owners were present. Kyle, the 2 Fellas manager, was rude, condescending, dismissive, complacent & had a total lack of empathy. He suggested the truck be completely unloaded (by the same men who stole the jewelry), which we declined. Ultimately, nothing was recovered. We asked that the owner, Josh Keeler, get a new crew to finish moving our job, which he did. We filed a police report. That evening, we Google searched the movers names with two results showing for two of the three men: 1. a FB post described the exact same theft situation with the same two men less than two months previous (4/24/26) while they worked at another moving company 2. a recent violent felony charge on file for one of the men 3. We texted those search results to 2 Fellas owner Owner of 2 Fellas, Josh Keeler, showed up unannounced early the next day to visit with us. He let us know he "had no idea", that he had fired the two suspected thieves, he "apologized" & left. He never offered compensation. Two weeks later, we reached out to Josh Keeler to ask what his company's policy was regarding compensation. He emailed saying insurance would contact us likely that day. After another two weeks and several "you'll hear something soon", we received a voicemail asking for use to return the call, which we have done four different times with no response thus far.

On the day of my move, there were complications with a prior booking that forced them to run hours later than we had planned. The situation was out of their control, and the manager called me several times to keep me posted on what was happening and to let me know the adjustments they were making to ensure my move was taken care of. As soon as he could, the manager arrived and began moving my furniture until the other workers could get there. There were a total of 5 movers (other than the manager) who worked on my move and they completed the work in 2 hours. Each worker was super friendly and hard-working. I've moved many times and the You Move Me workers were by far the quickest and the best movers I've hired. No move is ever perfect, and I would rather hire a company that I know can be responsive if anything does pop up. They have great customer service from the national booking representative to the staff moving my furniture. Everyone at this company worked hard to make my move quick and easy (and inexpensive!). Although I hope it is a while before my next move, I will definitely hire them again and I recommend them highly to anyone else hiring movers.
