Here it is, October, and I have received no payments for the monies that I had already paid in full. To top it off, the insurance company has stated that they have a contract with this office and they should have deducted the amount rather than charged me in full to begin with. Looks like I'll be going to small claims to get my money. Aside from the sketchy billing department, I was treated by a young dental hygienist who was no where near as gentle as the lady they had 2 years ago, They had to give me extra local anesthesia the first quadrant yet when they did the next round a week later they decided to not bother with the extra anesthesia when they already knew I required more. I was jumping around like a fish with every poke. Fun times.

After an examination, Dr. Christman told me that I needed 2 different procedures - the one diagnosed by my family dentist and another procedure on top of it. I was very nervous and decided to get a second opinion. When I went to a dentist for the second opinion, he was very angry and said that I didn't need the second procedure that the tooth wasn't bad enough to require another procedure. I was very upset and cancelled everything with this group and went to another periodontist who completed only the needed surgery. They did forward all my records to the second dentist.

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr Stender and his staff. I chose this practice because it…read morewas the only one of 2 in the area that accepted my health insurance. It's about 25 miles away but worth it to be covered for oral surgery. When I went to Dr Stender's office for the initial consultation the staff was very nice. During the consult, the doctor and his assistant were cheerful. I felt like I was with friends. Dr explained the procedure in detail but in layman's terms. His receptionist told me the approximate copay which was within a few dollars of the actual amount. I left confident that what seemed like a major thing- crown lengthening (bone shaving), was a minor operation. It turned out to be routine and minor oral surgery. In fact, I drove myself to and from the office on the day of the surgery. Dr Stender skillfully applied local anesthesia. It didn't hurt when he inserted any of the needles nor when he did the surgery. I was only there for about 45 minutes from parking my car to heading back home. I had no pain afterwards and I did apply a cold pack for the first couple of hours per instructions. I never took any pain meds and returned a week later to have stitches removed. I had no discomfort or complications. I highly recommend Dr Stender and his associates. He always used my preferred nickname which is more than I can say for some of my co-workers :-) if you're looking for excellent service from competent and personable professionals look no further.

This is no longer Loeffler & Pitt dental. Sad for us, it was time for them to retire as we all do…read moreeventually. My whole family, including my parents were patients of theirs for 30 yrs. We had moved from Lancaster for 7 years, now permanently back. When I made an appointment to re-establish care, I was not told of their retirement plans and that the business was being sold, until I arrived for the appointment last February. Shocking was to say the least. I had to check to even see if I was in the right building. Not much of a problem with the new hygienist (still wasn't L & P quality) but I had to return as I knew I had a filling that needed to be replaced. This is when it got ugly. No introductions were made, half the time I didn't even know what was happening as nothing was explained, it was just done, by a dental assistant, not the dentist. She called Dr. Pandit in to look at it and he says it's fine. I finally ask for a mirror and almost passed out--the tooth she worked on was now lower than the tooth next to it. These are my bottom front teeth. Dr. Pandit said that that didn't matter because when you close your mouth you don't see the lower front teeth. Are you kidding me?! Oh yes, he didn't even want to refill the porcelain filling to begin with because "it's on the back of your tooth, no one will see it and those fillings don't last long". I had mine for over 50 yrs. The back of the tooth is still rough, and now he saws down the tooth without the filling trying to level them up. Well after seeing what he did in the mirror (which I was never offered, gee I wonder why) he's now ground down the two teeth into a v shape in the middle. That's when I took off my bib and started to get up. Dr. Pandit suggested I go to a cosmetic dentist or orthodontist to fix his mess. Really?? What a pity that a wonderful practice that I referred several people to over the years, is sadly no more. Don't use this practice, they are horrible.

I have had fillings, a crown, and various other dental work done here and all with the care and kindness needed for a scary visit to the dentist. I have a chronic illness that rarely affords me the 24 hour rescheduling/ cancellation notice they require. I was told I can no longer make appointments, but I should call "When you're having a good day and we will see if we can fit you in". Dr. Pelle made them apolgize so they got even! The next time I missed an appointment they charged me $75! Seventy-five dollars because I was too I'll to keep my appointment. Clearly money is more important than a disabled patient. In the 28 years I've been sick I have never been so humiliated by any service provider. Dr. Pelle is wonderful, and the only reason my husband and I continued to go there. But we've had enough. Wish he'd join a different practice.

I called Dr. Rheault's office and was told to come right in. My tooth was exceedingly tender to touch but Dr. Rheault could not have been more gentle. He walked me through each step of what he was going to do so I knew what to expect. After carefully numbing me he was able to examine the area, take x-rays and adjust my bite. He recommended a root canal which was exactly what I needed. Once the prescribed treatment was complete I was pain free. I give Dr. Rheault my highest recommendation for his compassion and his skill. Thank you for helping me! If you are looking for a terrific dentist, go see Dr. Rheault!
