Definitely a tavern feel with old-timey knick knacks all over. This seemed as authentic as it gets! We were seated at a communal table with other parties. We ordered the local cider (okay, not our favorite but we tried it) and the local Hessian versions of their wiener schnitzel (with an herb sauce) and bratwurst (with Hessian cheese). Both hit the spot for the type of German food we wanted to have. We could have paid with cash but paid with a card instead to save our euros for later. Definitely recommended.

I took one bite, left it all. Gross. NOT Outback. Will not be back, and be warned this is a cheap parilla pretending to be Outback. $25 (you can find a better "steak for under $10 anywhere in BA).

So let's check the boxes for the review: Service: - first impression was that there is a problem in communication between the owner and the ppl working there. We had a reservation, but since the final check was via phone it seemed they didn't get the name right. So my gf was first there and she told them the reservation on my name, they couldn't find it and I stead of helping they showed her the door. That's a no go. So I stormed in when I arrived and clarified it also with phone logs. So that wasn't a good start. - the restaurant was full and clearly they couldn't keep up with getting orders, serving drinks, serving food and cleaning. I understand that maybe one more waiter is not in the budget but still they should read the room and see who waits how long. - when more friends arrived they were asked if they would eat something, but in a way that suggests them that it wouldn't be welcome if they want, they still did. Now to the interesting part, the thing we all go into restaurants. Food: - the meat was really good. They didn't really hit the desired cook level but still top meat and quite authentic (as much as you can replicate it here) - the dessert also way better than expected. And we were able to try something new they are trying. Amazing. - it wasn't out of this world but still one of the best in the price range. On the other hand: - the house wine was OK to drink, but that's kinda it. I mean sure they have other good wine but house wine shouldn't be the cheapest, it represents the restaurant. - we also found pisco sour, and as peruvian "experts" we were excited to try. What they gave us was so far from what it should be, a big disappointment. So in the end, yes go for the food, but the experience needs to be improved drastically.

The service is buffet style but they also offer a menu of ala carte dishes. We chose the buffet. They had a few decent Chinese and Thai dishes. However, the Mongolian grill and the 'sushi' were absolute abysmal and unauthentic. While I understand the concept of a Mongolian grill is to 'choose your own ingredients and have the chef fry it up', this could prove disastrous if you pair the wrong food with the wrong sauce, which you can't even taste beforehand. Sure, trail and error goes a long way when experimenting cooking with food but I was too hungry to tolerate that. The ingredients were not good quality and the sauces were either bland or too sweet. It resembled nothing of the good quality Mongolian restaurants I used to visit in the U.S. and Japan. As for the 'sushi', well, being a native of Okinawa, Japan, I should have known not to eat the sushi at any buffet. I always set myself up for disappointment when I do. I'm open-minded to try new things and fushion foods but seriously, don't tweak the sushi rice and use cheap imitation crab. Although the ambience, interior, and atmosphere was somewhat pleasant, I'm giving this restaurant a one. The quality of the food is too low. I will not make a second trip.

However, the wonderful lady that assisted us helped us with this. She seated us at a lovely table and gave us complementary wine. The food was very fresh and tasty, better than anything else we have had on our visit to Germany. The restaurant has a lovely Parisian feel to it, with its awning covered patio seating and cute little table lamps. We had a great time, me and my boo. I definitely recommend this place. We had a salad with chicken followed by the fish of the day. For our last night in Frankfurt, it was perfect. Only thing is they do not accept credit cards. Cash or PayPal only!
