I'm a Black man and I have been treated with respect and dignity from my very first visit (over 2 years ago) right until tonight. I suspect it's because when I come here I treat everyone with respect and dignity. You have to give respect to get it. That's not news if you were raised properly. 2.if I have to make or take a phone call, I step out of the lounge. No one needs to hear my conversations and I don't want anyone to hear them. That's not a new custom, it's just good sense and good manners. 3. I have literally smoked cigars all over the world. Cutter's etiquette is no different than any other place I've frequented. 4. Snooty is not an adjective that applies here. This place is open to ANYONE that knows how to act as a gentleman or lady- anyone. 5. If you can't understand any of this, then Cutter's is probably not the place for you. Finally, this is a great lounge. The friends I've made here cross the color spectrum and are just good men. Four of them literally saved my life. This a shop filled with good people. My advice, if you're a jerk, go somewhere else. I don't want to smoke with you.

I have always disliked matcha (and I've tried it all over the world...) I mentioned that to the owner and he said "Nooooooo- you've not had it made the right way!" And he gave me an awesome education about matcha. Even shared the one he was making so I could experience it the way God intended....with an "ahhhhh" , a smile, and a chocolate cold foam mustache! Perfection! It didn't taste like dirt, it tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry in liquid form! We intended to pop in for a coffee, stayed for a coffee, a matcha, an education, and the cool vibes put out by the folks here. They actually talk, smile, laugh and joke with their new friends (aka. customers) which is a very nice change from some places you go these days. The staff is so helpful... and there are so many fun gift items and gift bags. They have snacks and some charcuterie items, too. The store is spacious and clean, with a festive feel year-round. I was excited to set it up with the new seasonal flavors I'd just purchased. But something was wrong with the machine. I needed a replacement, stat. Total Wine had one-at a great price-ready to go.
