Called this morning and spoke to a cheerful Holly. She told us that delivery can be scheduled for tomorrow morning. OK. A few moments later, we get a call from owner Rick, who tells us they had a cancellation and their driver can deliver in an hour. We dig out the tarp from the garage storage and position it next to the driveway. A few moments later, Mingo arrives with our cord of mesquite. The juniper cracks and pops and promised and boy does the pecan burn hot! Overall a positive experience. We'd go back. Hoping the next time the selection is a little more robust. I used to buy my mesquite splits in a bag at a hardware store. Needless to say, I will only get my mesquite from this place. The mesquite burned a lot better and was a way cheaper option. When I came here, the employee (shame on me for not remembering your name) climbed on top of the wood pile and chucked dry splits down to be loaded in the wheelbarrow. I firsthand witnessed him picking up splits and checking them before either throwing the splits down or returning them back into the pile. This guy gave me good splits that were dry and ready to burn. He then came down and helped me load the splits into my car. The lady that cashed me out (again, sorry for not recalling your name) was nice as well. $45 got me way way WAYYYYY more wood than I expected. I've done several cooks and still have a ton waiting to burn. If you need mesquite for offset smoking, this place will give you good quality splits, at a cheaper price, and with exceptional customer service. At four o'clock I received a call at work that he was at my house and would leave the wood on the condition the I pay by credit card over the phone, sight unseen. He would not wait. There are a lot of guys out there selling green or otherwise undesirable firewood and he is probably one of them. This is not a man I would do business with again. Very dicey businessman. There are too many reputable firewood guys with good reputations. Pay the extra $25.

My insurance company flagged him for him trying to charge 28K for three trees and some debris. He lied and said that the insurance company will cover it, which they absolutely did not cover all that after flagging him. But they did try to reach out and get an explanation, but he wouldn't take their calls or call back. unfortunately, he will blow smoke up your butt. I trusted him, but after the fact, I was getting screwed. Now he's coming after me for 24K the balance. I've been getting estimates by other tree companies and nowhere near his cost and they could not believe he charged that much. The man has a lawyer in his back pocket, not his first rodeo.... LOL
