Prices seem quite reasonable from what I saw - although I only went in for a single item [BDU desert weight pants - YAY! cargo pants from Mars] and these were less than paid for same / similar item at BOTH other surplus establishments OR online resources. They also have a genuine dog tag maker machine with a good selection of blanks, though if you have your heart set on a pair or three of these EXCELLENT identification items - call first to make sure an operator for this cool machine will be around. BONUS: this store is located in a REALLY cool [read: non-white] part of Pcola with some excellent dining options [YAY! Academy has the best athletic shoe selection, BUT the department's customer service is the pits. Rarely do they greet you or offer help and if you do ask for help it appears that you are bothering them. This past week I have been in the shoe department four times and I have never been approached by an employee. Actually that is not true yesterday while standing by an employee for a couple of minutes, as he shuffled and arranged boxes, he asked if I was finding the size I needed. When I told him no, he said "those are the sizes we have." This is great store, great merchandise, but management needs to sell the importance of customer service to their employees.
