This is a seasonal market that happens the 2nd and 4th Saturday the months that they're operating. I recommend going early for both parking, and to take advantage of the yoga in the morning on the grass. The vendors are more food based than any other type. Highly recommend checking it out. read more

Green Market Pompano Beach - Farmers Market Near Me - Pompano Beach, Florida

This is the longest continually running green market in Broward County. It is run by the Pompano Beach Historical Society in conjunction with the Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency. It is taking place November 3, 2018 to April 27 2019 every Saturday from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. I stopped by on a Saturday morning and had no trouble finding parking. There wasn't a lot of booths. The ones they had were selling local honey. kombucha, clothing, and baked goods. There was one produce tent. My favorite tent was the one run by the historical society. They are selling locally made butters and spreads. They were also advertising their historical trolley tour on January 12, 2019. It is two hours and leaves from Founder's Park. When you finish your shopping at the market you can grab a coffee at nearby Blooming Bean Coffee Shop or an adult beverage at Odd Breed Wild Ales. You can even check out the art at BaCA. Old Town Pompano has been upgraded and it's a nice place to visit. The green market is just one of the many events held here. read more

This was a 50/100 I was expecting more stops and more food but we got one market the berries were ok and the dragon fruit was supposed to be red and the plums were rancid but the tomatoes were delicious overall we had good luck and bad luck read more

Visited Ms Lue's BACKA YAAD Jamaican Cuisine again. Oxtail, rice and beans, macaroni and cheese and corn bread. OMG. Heavenly. Set-up is immaculate and well executed. I will be back for more. DELICIOUS and authentic! read more

I love going to farmers markets to support local farmers & businesses. I stopped by the Green Market on the last Saturday of the season to do some grocery shopping. They usually are open on Saturdays from 9-2pm, but sadly they won't be open again until October. The market was filled with a variety of vendors selling produce, crafts, local honey, plants, organic salts & seasonings, and food stands selling boiled peanuts, ice cream, Greek food, and even Indian food. They had music playing & a singer entertaining while you shop. Of course being a farmers market, I saw many people bring their dogs, which is always a plus for the animal lovers (more places should be like this). I stopped by two organic produce stands, which sold fruits & veggies at pretty decent prices. I loaded up on organic produce from eggplants, zucchinis, sweet potatoes, mangos, tomatoes, butternut squash-- you name it! One of the vendors was also selling fresh fish so I bought a fillet of salmon and mahi-mahi. Arteasan leaf tea boutique: I tried a sample of their iced hibiscus and mango teas & they were so sweet and refreshing! I bought the mango tulsi and hibiscus cooler ice teas-- perfect for the summer heat. I was happy to find that they had a chamomile tea, which was nicely blended with rooibos. Finley's Bahamian Restaurant: I was craving some seafood & I saw that they had conch & a seafood mix. I bought their seafood mix, which had real lobster & crab. It was a tad bit saltier than I'm used to, but still pretty good & perfect to put in sandwiches or crackers. In The Beginning Munchables: This bakery specialized in Paleo treats-- gluten free, non-dairy, all that good stuff. I bought a loaf of their Paleo Bread, which is made out of almond & coconut flour, coconut oil, and other wholesome ingredients. Usually gluten-free breads come out pretty dry & tasteless, but the honey she uses makes the bread moist and gives it a lightly sweet taste. read more

I love coming to the farmers market on Saturday's there's always good music playing along with great weather and food i can eat there or later. Recently there is a new tea vendor who sells loose tea and i am hooked. Their tea is organic and great quality and the price is great! Definitely you must check out the market, come early because they do close at 2pm. read more

I went for the first time on Saturday, it was a dreary rainy day so there were not too many vendors or people. Quickly walked through and was able to get some local produce at a great price. Also bought some fresh mozzarella which was very good. I noticed there was local honey available and a few other healthy treats. They also had a local band playing music. Not a huge market but it's close to me and I found parking very easy. You have your typical stands (local honey, candles, veggies). All of the vendors that I interacted with were extremely friendly. I did find a couple of places that only accepted cash and some had the ability to pay with a credit or debit card. You can stop here and probably spend less than an hour so it's a nice place to stop if you just need some fruits or vegetables and don't want to spend a whole day browsing around. My favorite stand is the local honey. He has a lot of different flavors (including a garlic one). read more

I have been looking for a farmers market and this is my new spot. I was there early before they officially opened and everyone greeted me very warmly and explained what different fruits and veggies were since many were exotic. Several vendors also explained different methods of cooking which i greatly appreciated. After easter they stop this market but they offer home delivery. I got more than enough fruit and produce for 10-14 days and i spent 42 bucks. I also juice so i go through quite a bit. Highly recommend. read more

I'm giving four stars on behalf of local venders doing their best to sell honest products. I go to green markets because I want to support organic local farmers, artisans and merchants. However, the guy with the big organic vegetables sign set all my bells and whistles off. He has no knowledge of where or how the stuff he sells is grown, which is completely atypical for people in that industry who labor out of love or tradition, and whose knowledge on the subject can generally fill books. This guy not only didn't know anything about the stuff he was selling, but his prices were double and triple your usual farmstand organic prices and even overshot Whole Paycheck (aka Whole Foods) prices--unapologetically, I might add. Something just didn't add up about this guy or his young salesperson son. Since this was the only organic produce stand there, I will be checking out Fort Lauderdale's greenmarket next, despite it being a trek. It's a shame for the other venders because organic vegetables are usually the biggest draw for green markets. There should be some oversight, with someone in charge checking into this situation. read more

Great vendors, good service, got excellent fresh produce. My kids enjoyed the paleo pastries and I liked the the ceviche. My wife got great soaps and organic shampoo for our pet. A great experience all around. As we were leaving we were approached by the Market Manager, Dary that thanks us for visiting and gave us some VIP cards and recycle shopping bags. That was a very nice touch and the closer of the deal. We are definitely coming back! read more

This outside venue has a ton of potential, but unfortunately is limited by the rules imposed by a woman named Dary that has very limited English. She alone determines what each vendor is allowed to sell and limits each booth to only one item. Odd since it's the holiday season and I believe people are seeking variety. There are too many other great Farmer's Markets and Flea Markets to waste time on this one. Keep driving! read more
