Edy Flores of Diaz/Flores Landscape charged me $45 for 5-10 minutes of work which he called a…read more"diagnostic fee" then refused to come back out after his minimalistic, lazy, and shoddy workmanship failed. He spoke to me extremely unprofessionally in a way I have never before been spoken to by someone doing work for me, threatening legal action against me if I left a review. I recently called Diaz/Flores for a sprinkler leak. The landscaper, Edy, arrived and proceeded to turn an adjustment screw on my sprinkler valve a couple of times then told me it was "all fixed". He told me he was saving me money because he could have replaced the whole unit but didn't have to after making the adjustment. He then told me to give him $45 for 5-10 minutes of "work" and that it was a "Diagnostic Fee". I asked if he was flexible on price and he told me the price was that amount because he "had to drive across town" to get to my home (as though gas is $45/gallon and its somehow my fault his last customer was across town). Before I gave him the money, I asked him if his service was guaranteed and that he'd come back if the problem persisted. He said he would. The next morning I woke up to a large puddle of water due to my leaky system. When I called him he said that it takes time for leaked water to drain, about 2 days. I told him I would call him the next day if the problem persisted. The following morning I woke up to still a large puddle of water from my leaky system. I sent him a text that said the following "Hey man I have a bubbler still leaking. I need you to come out today." As I was driving with my wife, I received a call from Edy. He proceeded to tell me that the problem was probably due to my sprinkler settings and that the $45 I paid him would not cover additional visits. Keep in mind that he guaranteed his service and was refusing to fix a problem I had already paid him to fix. He then proceeded to tell me to "never speak to him that way" regarding the text message I sent him that morning (pated above) as though I was an idiot or a child. I told him this wasnt acceptable and that I'd be leaving a review online about my experience. He then hung up on me. 3 minutes later he called me back and said "I dont know what happened my phone cut out". He then told me how that I was free to leave an online review but that he would "see me in court" for leaving one. He then proceeded to tell me he would be coming to my home at which point I told him not to as I wasn't home. Thankfully he didnt show up. After hearing him on the car speaker, my wife doesnt want this man anywhere near our home or family. This is my review of Diaz and Flores Landscape, as promised, and I'm left with a still leaky sprinkler system and $45 poorer.

We had a couple of requests, 2 extra long posts and a gate so we could have quick access for neighbor hangouts. Dan and team were out the next week to get the fence started. I work from home and my bedroom office sits at the back of the house. If it wasn't for my nosey dogs begging to go outside to visit, I wouldn't have known Capote Landscaping was in my backyard!
