I read all the reviews and came to one conclusion. There is always going to be a Karen in the group. I have bought many times and many items from green mountain furniture so much so I will receive 10% off for life! Hahaha Today I got delivered a queen over queen bunk bed for my log cabin on little Sebago. This line of furniture is no joke! Solid real wood made by the Amish. We already own bunks and beds at another location so I knew I would buy these again and only have to buy them once for the remainder of my days as the quality is solid. The reason for this review is to point out the delivery crew. I believe all other companies guys would have got back in the truck and went home when we realized this monster was not going up the staircase. Instead we brainstormed and we took apart wooden side rails on the staircase. We got the bed into place and I guarantee the beds going to be there forever. HOLY COW! When they say "has more then meets the eye" in their commercials, they are not lying! This place is HUGE! Very deceiving from the outside. It looks like one big building and two houses attached. We entered and decided to go right and off we went. We were just blown away by how many different styles of bedroom, living room, and kitchen furniture options there were under one roof! They have specialty areas like an area for just bedrooms which was very extensive from the main floor down into the basement all kinds of configurations to choose from, then there's the recliner section which has all shapes and sizes, we even found a recliner that fits my husband of 6'6! They offer free delivery throughout New England! Across the room was their art section that was tastefully displayed in small walls that turned like pages in a book! Awesome way to display everything they have to offer. They also decorated each room as well. Then there's the sign hallway where you can find all kinds of verbiage for your home whether it's house rules etc r humorous sayings they have it. There's a room filled with rugs of all shapes and sizes as well as custom cuts! The kitchen area had something for all sizes of kitchens where table leaves are hidden in the table! I took like a thousand pictures because we could not believe the amount of items and how it kept going on and on. We will be back because we found a chair for the man, a new kitchen set up for the family, and some sarcastic art work I want hanging in my house! There is no sales tax and the prices were below what we have seen in Portland. If you need furniture or maybe some ideas, it is well worth the adventure over to NH for a day trip. Ok, my turn for a review, to counter the one star reviews of those who didn't even buy furniture from here. I walked in (they had actually opened early this day) and fell in love with the place immediately. I wish I could move in. LOL. They have a great variety of furniture for so many tastes, and price points. Some lower cost (which yes, is lower quality than hand made solid wood, but not everyone wants to spend thousands of dollars on a bed), and some amazing. I They also have a ton of other smaller home furnishings. Knick knacks, decorative items. You really could buy a new house, completely empty, and get from GMF everything you need to make your new house look like you've lived there for years. Was I actively approached by salespeople when I walked in? No, and frankly, I appreciated that. Why someone on here would rate one star because no one approached them because they dressed cheap is beyond me. Laughable. Sure, as I walked around, various sales people walking by asked how I was doing, and to let them know if I needed anything. A very soft sell. No, not even a sell. No push. I like that they let me buy, they don't push anything. And I spent a while there, and never was I unable to get a question answered. A great store. Huge, with great staff and a great selection. I am going to buy my furniture from here once I finally decide on what, and I'll certainly update this with my buying experience. read more

Purchased couch and chair there made by " best home furniture "from them.It looked good for a while but started splitting and cracking material all over it, we bought an extended warranty but that isn't covered and only has a 1 year warranty. We went to store and were told nothing we can do about it. Guess they don't make the furniture just sell it but having in the past sent several customers there I no longer would recommend them hopefully others won't buy there and get crappy quality furniture we got. Outrageously expensive, their buy one get one recliner deal is a joke, the recliners look like they're from the 70s and they still haven't been able to sell them. The place is huge, they have A LOT of stuff, but it's mostly log cabin/country themed stuff. Not for me. The staff are overbearing, we just went in to browse last Saturday and we were hounded every 5 minutes by the same 2 staff members asking if we needed help or if we were still "doing ok". How many times does a person have to say "We're just looking, we'll find you if we need help."? read more

My husband & I drove up to Ossipee to purchase living room furniture & a king sized bed. We walked into Green Mountain Furniture & saw at least three sales people but were never greeted, spoken to or asked if we needed assistance. It was awkward & disappointing. It was an easy sale for Green Mountain Furniture with us. We walked in and told them exactly what we wanted for a braided rug and paid in full for it. They said it would be 3-5 weeks. No problem. After 6 weeks with hearing nothing, I called to check to see what was going on. They said they would have to call the warehouse and would get back to me that same day. Nothing that day. The next day, they called and said there was an issue with the color from the manufacturer, so it will be another two weeks. I had to call again to find out the status after almost 7 weeks. They said that because of COVID the manufacturer is taking so long. (Really!!) I asked why there was no communication throughout this process and was told that they had too many customers to do that! This says something about their customer service. Oh, and don't bother with the rug stain protection, it is a joke. I believe it is a fraud and is not being completed. One more thing, I wrote to their customer service which states that they will get back to you within 24 hours. I have not heard anything. Kind of goes back to the communication/customer service issue that I have had from the very beginning. I forgot to mention that we have been loyal GMF customers and have purchased many pieces of furniture from them. We will never step foot in their store again!!! read more

I I love GMF if you haven't shopped there you need to go. The place is full of beautiful quatily furniture that's perfect for your home in the lakes region. My daughter and I plan a day because we are in there for atleast 2 hours. Not only is the furniture and furnishings fun to look at but the prices are fair. We did not have a good experience in this store. I was accompanying my Alzheimer's client and his wife on this shopping trip and two salesmen were making fun of him about 20 feet away. When I turned and looked at them, one walked away quickly and the other one looked down at his desk. The store is not handicapped accessible and there are many stairs. The furniture is nice but way overpriced. We will not be returning to this store. read more

Worst experience of my life! Purchased a rocker recliner that felt like I was sitting on the seam of the cushion and metal bar in the foot stool had no cushioning. The back wouldn't stay reclined unless I was fully reclined. When I called the man that handled my complaint and ultimate return was completely not experienced in how to handle customers. He continued to talk over me every time I tried to explain what the problem was and how I felt about the chair. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I love this place. If you like country decor, this is where you need to look. I live on Long Island and I can assure you there's nothing like this place. I'd been looking for. Bedroom set for months and five minutes into walking in here I saw exactly what I wanted. The entire set was custom made to my specs out of reclaimed, OLD barn wood. This place is amazing. Its no wonder why they do not do business online. The moment you walk in you are just amazed at all the treasures they have there. The customer service was perfect. I had two kids with me and no one followed me around, we sat and looked at everything.They were there if you had questions but we were on our own little treasure hunt. From beds, to sofas (which was my reason for being there), chairs, lamps, rugs, you name it, down to the decorations and window treatments. My kids and I were there for an hour. In rooms, up stairs, finding more and more big rooms of goodies! I though it would be too expensive, but they had plenty in a lower budget and gorgeous soft leather in higher end budget. Completely recommend going there. I have now vowed that I want to purchase everything for my home from there. It is very country but had other options that would fit any décor. FABULOUS! read more
