He was very interested in talking to us about our needs and explained different product features to us. He let us try any bed, and helped us with the pillows as we went around the store hopping beds. We went in with a low budget ($300-400), and we got something that fit our needs. It's hard to get such good customer service when your options are limited. I didn't even bother to check other stores. Another woman who bought a $2500 mattress from them told me that she had been to all other stores in the area and she got the best deal at this store. We received help to put the mattress and the box spring on top of our car. I'd buy from them again and do recommend them to everyone.

But the prices seemed to be what was keeping all the lights on and paying for all that staff at those gigantic stores. So , I started searching for a few alternatives and hoped that we weren't going to run into the same problem we did when we bought our living room set at a discounted rate at furniture discounters...we will be regretting that for awhile. Anyway, I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised by the number of Mattress sets that Affordable Mattress fit into their little home. Then once we began laying on them we knew we had found the right place. There are no mark ups to pay for 15 people to stand around or to keep that gigantic store filled with inventory- it's just a bunch of comfortable good quality mattresses with the owner and a little help every now and to make the deliveries. There isn't any clearance sales that never seem to end either....just a happy guy who makes a good living by selling his products at a fair price. Dana explained because he sells them so reasonable he is able to sell a whole lot more than he ever imagined. So why not make everyone happy - especially if he can make just as good of a paycheck by selling a whole lot more quantity without taking away the quality. So, if you could care less about all the fancy gimmicks and the cruise giveaway that we never hear about anyone actually winning and simply want a good quality mattress at a fair price then do yourself a favor and at least check out Affordable Mattress. Don't let the location or the outside of the building fool you....there is a fairly good size selection inside and the prices can;t be beat. PLUS if you are looking for some financing options he also works with Crest Financial who can help you build your credit....all you need is $40 down, a checking account and a steady income. Had Bubs out to fix two small leaks and prime our well pump. My mistake was letting them start…read morewithout asking for their rate or an estimate. Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.

The project involved an enormous patio, gardens, irrigation, decking, stairs, granite steps, that circled a large house that ran up to to the house, down to a dock. The project involved much regrading of the terrain. It also involved paving with materials a long, rather steep shared driveway that was deeply rutted. We watched the project unfold over several days and were deeply impressed with the scope of the project. Wow. The workers were diligent and never stopped except for lunch. Their expertise came shining through on every aspect of the project. They used bobcats to remove big boulders. They had to cut into rocks in the existing landscape to make the terrain suitable for the patio that circled the house. It was fun to watch. All the while we looked at our tired patio and thought "hmmmmm". We asked our neighbor for an introduction to Tom. Such a nice man! Tom came over with one of his crew, and measured off our spaces, which ended up being a walkway, patio and driveway. It was pitched all wrong and they worked that out, showing their expertise. After seeing the quality of the workmanship next door, we were happy to accept Tom's bid. With the equipment already next door our patio and walkway were installed in a jiffy. It's beautiful. I've put a second story on a house, done a kitchen and a few bath renovations, gutted a small house, and done landscape jobs. Tom is the easiest, friendliest, professional I have ever worked with. If he doesn't answer the phone he calls back promptly. His crews can't be beat. There wasn't a hiccup in the project. I can't say enough about Landscapes by Tom and am pleased to whole heartedly recommend him for any job.

Hahaha Today I got delivered a queen over queen bunk bed for my log cabin on little Sebago. This line of furniture is no joke! Solid real wood made by the Amish. We already own bunks and beds at another location so I knew I would buy these again and only have to buy them once for the remainder of my days as the quality is solid. The reason for this review is to point out the delivery crew. I believe all other companies guys would have got back in the truck and went home when we realized this monster was not going up the staircase. Instead we brainstormed and we took apart wooden side rails on the staircase. We got the bed into place and I guarantee the beds going to be there forever. It looks like one big building and two houses attached. We entered and decided to go right and off we went. We were just blown away by how many different styles of bedroom, living room, and kitchen furniture options there were under one roof! They have specialty areas like an area for just bedrooms which was very extensive from the main floor down into the basement all kinds of configurations to choose from, then there's the recliner section which has all shapes and sizes, we even found a recliner that fits my husband of 6'6! They offer free delivery throughout New England! Across the room was their art section that was tastefully displayed in small walls that turned like pages in a book! Awesome way to display everything they have to offer. They also decorated each room as well. Then there's the sign hallway where you can find all kinds of verbiage for your home whether it's house rules etc r humorous sayings they have it. There's a room filled with rugs of all shapes and sizes as well as custom cuts! The kitchen area had something for all sizes of kitchens where table leaves are hidden in the table! I took like a thousand pictures because we could not believe the amount of items and how it kept going on and on. We will be back because we found a chair for the man, a new kitchen set up for the family, and some sarcastic art work I want hanging in my house! There is no sales tax and the prices were below what we have seen in Portland. If you need furniture or maybe some ideas, it is well worth the adventure over to NH for a day trip. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

I've driven by Home Comfort hundreds of times. Nice showroom and very nice stuff. When I talked to the flooring guy, he showed me the LVF samples. It seems that there's only one company they represent for this flooring. I asked him to ballpark a 1,200 Ft2 install and he said that they would come out and measure for an accurate estimate. Although this is true, I suppose, I wonder how he thought that answered my question? Deception didn't sell well with me, so off I went. I went to a place that was open, up-front informational, and they answered every question I asked - both before and after they came out to measure. I am very happy with the floor I got. Good luck with these guys at Home Comfort. They'll screw around with you if you're a bona fide customer ready to buy.

You did…read morenot fix the sloppy paint job nor the too tall glass fixtures in the kitchen, nor the badly hung lights in our Great Room. You did refund the one fixture in our kitchen, which was supposed to be hung with eight feet of chain but was installed at the very apex of a vaulted ceiling, but it took over a year of phone calls and emails for you to do so. You also never delivered the $600 worth of merchandise to us. My wife had to drive over and pick it up herself weeks after making the purchase. In your email response to my initial review, you wrote: "I can't help but wonder if this review was left as a retaliatory measure for something that I may have unknowingly done to cause either of you discomfort." You have apparently decided to consider a review based on poor service performance as "retaliation." We had been so happy with our interactions with the staff 11 years go that helped us decorate a lovely lakefront property. We recommended your store and your design services to several of our friends. But that was then. We will advise our friends these days to give their business to other more reputable businesses around the lake.

There is no place written that states a restocking fee or was it verbally stated. I canceled my order within 3 days and there was nothing to restock. I filed a complaint with the BBB which they never answered. My boyfriend called the owner of Yankee Furniture and he said he would look into it and call us back, which he did not. This is unheard of. I work hard for my money and $70.00 for 'NOTHING is thievery.

Hackman's was recommended by my interior designer, not my builder. I purchased my bedroom…read morecarpeting and my solid hickory flooring from them. They knew I lived on the lake and they knew I did not have central air conditioning. They never let the hardwood acclimate and started installing it the day after delivering it. They didn't even nail the flooring per manufacturer spec. The flooring cupped and is still cupped. Even after installing central air, it's embarrassing to look at. Both Heckman's and the inspector blamed my contractor for not keeping the site conditions moderated during the renovation. They have insurance and they weren't big enough to own up to their mistake. Now I live with a $10k bumpy floor. Atrocious.
