I spent $10,000 recently purchasing furniture. The salesman couldn't do enough for me until after the delivery. One piece was damaged. I asked to have the piece returned. I was assured that customer service would call me immediately. That was 3 weeks ago. I don't recommend this business. Once is enough. bought a "high end" as the sales person said, Rowe couch, it turned out to be Wayfair type quality. cushions wavy on the top, fabric puffy on the bottom of the couch due to poor quality control, soft pine boards that had rough cut ends and the boards did not line up, took months for Rowe to send replacements and 2nd frame was worse. Sadly I can not find a way to attach pictures. Response from Ipilitoes during this whole time- they did not call when they said they would, I had to call to get updates, and they did not use the correct phone number they were asked to call. On the plus side, they loaned us a couch while we waited and the delivery guys were top notch. the couch is comfy, we will see how short the life span is. We have been purchasing pieces of furniture from Ippolito's for about 27 years. Our Sales person, Charles, has always been thorough in helping me order just the right products, all of the products were solid wood and extremely well built. Last time I ordered a bedroom suite of furniture it came directly from Vermont, we have many pieces of custom built from Vermont and the quality is always wonderful. All the wood faces matched perfectly and there the quality of the wood was excellent. The fellows who do the delivery were wonderful as we have had several heavy pieces delivered to the second story of our home. I find the selection is always wide and varied and the folks at Ippolito's have been wonderful to work with over all these years. I'm sorry its taken me so many years to complement this business on their service as I have always been thrilled by what they do. Recently I had to order a drawer pull and Charles get it in no time at all for me and it matched perfectly. Recently had a great experience with Stacey Watkins at Ippolito's. She spent a considerable amount of time helping my elderly mother find the perfect comfortable chair. She also went above and beyond to have the chair delivered quickly. The guys who delivered the chair were very careful and polite, and they wore masks out of consideration for my mother's health. We purchased a sectional sofa. The sales people were extremely helpful and patient with us taking a long time to decide on which couch and which fabrics. The store is large with many items on display. Delivery was on time and professional. The couch had a manufacturing defect. One of the seams separated. The protection plan we purchased wouldn't cover it but Chris Ippolito got it repaired for us. That is really taking care of their customers and Ippolito's will be my first place to shop for furniture from now on. read more

We bought our sofa at Ippolito's right after we moved to town this Summer. We had been shopping around in Concord and Manchester, and considering a Crate & Barrel or West Elm sofa, because it seemed really hard to find a sofa with a modernist style that suited our tastes. We were so surprised and happy at Ippolito's! Not only were we able to forego the big box stores and buy an American-made sofa, which was important to us, we also had excellent service from Deb, who was attentive and professional, and also got a wonderful deal. We were told our sofa would be in town in eight weeks, and Deb checked in with us during that time to let us know she was looking out for it. We were able to borrow swatches in the meantime with no hassle, and the sofa even came early! The delivery crew was just as friendly and professional as Deb, and was also early. Hooray Ippolito's! We walked around unfamiliar with the store and approached one of the women and asked where the dining room furniture was and the reply I got was upstairs. That was it. We recently purchased a large leather sectional, a smaller sunbrella fabric sectional with ottoman and two tables. In the past we have purchased cherry dining room furniture, an oak dining set and a grandfather clock. Everything we purchased was of great quality and our experience with the staff at Ippolitos was fine. The prices are good when they have sales. The store is not laid out well which made the shopping experience a bit difficult and their bedroom selection is poor, other than that we have always been pleased with their products and service. Im giving 2 stars for the simple fact that their customer service is AWFUL!!! We bought a couch and love seat with console and recliner about a year ago. They look nice and the material is great especially for kids. However, when they delivered it they had to take the love seat apart to get in our door which they never put back together correctly because the arm and the side is loose. Not that you should sit on the arm anyways but if you did, it would probably just break off. We have contacted Ippolitos a long time ago..no one ever called us back.Im not sure how many times my husband had to call but everytime he did he just got the run around.We pretty much just had to rig it ourselves to make sure it wouldnt break we pushed it up against a wall(not where I wanted it to go but whatever) and put a side table next to it to make sure the arm would never accidently get sat on. Plus for as much money as we spent on the set I would have figured someone would have called to see how it was working out just to make sure we were happy with our purchase, but I guess shopping local is really just not appreciated as much as it should be! Also want to mention that the couch is not near as comfortable as the one I had purchased from bobs furniture a few years ago, it does look nicer quality but I like to be able to sleep on the cough sometimes and I cant with this couch. One of the worst customer service experiences of my life. The delivery man stepped in dog poop while delivering my mattress and tracked the poop into my house. I completely understand that this happens and is an accident. However, when the delivery man realized he had stepped in dog poop he used my staircase to clean off his shoe and then blamed me for not getting him a rag quickly. This place is a dump. Poorly organised to start with. Went in looking for a houseful of furniture, at least two sofas, a bed, end tables, dining table and chairs. One lacklustre salesman an sitting at a desk directed us "up the stairs." Eventually I found a set of stairs that led to an office. He finally directed us to the right stairwell where someone was vacuuming and made no attempt to move an obvious trip hazard. But the worst part is that the place is just a maze of confusing rooms with no obvious layout, no one to direct you. The furniture is over priced for the quality. Terrible shopping experience and a waste of time if you are looking for something other than cheap camp furniture. read more

We went to Ippolito's thinking that it was going to be a better quality and service store. We have had issues with every piece of furniture purchased there and the customer service has been unacceptable. Since they do not take my schedule into consideration at all I have missed numerous hours of work to accommodate their schedule!!! My sofa has had to be repaired 4 times!!! I think they should have offered to replace it after the third time! I would not recommend them to family, friends, or acquaintances. read more

Purchased two klaussner sofas from Ippolitos in March for a weekend home. Within a month, the cushions became deformed and I am constantly placing the cushions back on the sofas. After some rangling, Mr. Ippolito came out to our home and looked at the sofas. He has made plans to satisy our unhappiness with the sofas and treated us professionally. We are looking forward to getting our replacement sofas soon. read more

I have never reviewed a purchase in my life but had to post this, as I feel so strongly that Ippolito's never has the customer in their best interest. We purchased one of their "Top of the Line" mattresses in 2010. Had to have it replaced 2 times. It was their version of "memory foam" and all it did was sag and leave a "hill" in the middle of the bed due to sagging on both sides. Tried to negotiate to trade in for a regular, innerspring mattress, and they refused. Don't waste your time or money on these folks...they are not out to keep the customer happy - they are truly only looking to get the most $$$ out of people and deliver poor quality furniture. We just purchased a new memory foam mattress from one of the big furniture stores for about 5 times LESS than what we paid for the "Top of the Line" mattress at Ippolito's and it is so much better than the Ippolito's version of memory foam. Will never do business with them again. read more
