This being a roadtrip this time around I took advantage of the full kitchen versus using my camp stove. With both fructose and lactose malabsorption it's very comforting to cook for myself. And having access to a full kitchen allowed me to make a rice and steak dinner and then in the morning make a cup of rice for the road, plus hard boil chicken and duck eggs I gathered the day prior. The duck eggs were fantastic! Just like in 2023, the Cajun jam night on Wednesday didn't disappoint. Such great music and wonderfully friendly people. One experience I was hoping to relive from 2023 was the ghost encounter in the balcony room; ghost sat on my feet! Unfortunately this go around in 2026, no ghost experience so just be aware there is a spirit, albeit a friendly spirit, inhabiting the Blue Moon. This isn't just a place to stay but a place to experience. We look forward to coming back.

I asked my other friend who is a straight pretty blonde girl to order for me and as soon as I took a step back behind her. He came up to her and took "my order". While still completely ignoring me and not even looking at me. I don't know what his deal was and I didn't think much about it until it continued to happen three days in a row. I am 23 years old, it is kind of odd that I had to ask my friends to order my beer for me because of him. I am a bartender myself, so I understand being "busy" but this dude would be standing there doing nothing and still ignoring me but as soon as a new customer came up next to me he went straight up to them within 5 seconds and took there order. One person was even nice enough to point to me and say she was here first and he looked at me then looked away and it was that moment when I realized he is intentionally doing this. I am from out of state and I have no idea who this man is. So I don't know why he pretended I didn't exist.
