The best choice I made besides saying "yes" was hiring Green Orchid. Angelica is the best. She went above & beyond her contract. She's funny. You can talk to her about anything. She's heard it all. Her day-of helper was sweet, professional & a pleasure to have around. Throughout the day, Angelica was a calm voice delivering decision points with options & a recommendation but minus any stress. She's a mom & handled the wedding party kids fantastically. She's very well respected in the wedding industry, yet humble. She's fabulous & fun. I couldn't imagine our day without her coordinating florists, decor, music, humans, kids, artist, photogs, video crew, DJ... the only thing we left out was a tiger but I'm sure she could have managed that too. She helped with moral support, ideas, appointments, etc. My husband is extremely busy & my family lives out of town so she was literally my wedding planning partner & it was stress free. We had the absolute pleasure of being able to work with the incredibly sweet Angelica for our wedding in November at the JW Marriott. From the beginning she was so organized, and took care of every detail we needed! On the day of, she arrived early in the morning, well dressed, with a smile on all day. She handled organizing everything so well, even helped with our flower girls when the big girls were taking photos! Angelica McDonnell was an absolute dream to work with. I contracted with Green Orchid Events for full wedding planning a little over a year before our wedding date. Without her we wouldn't have found our incredible photographer or officiant. Working with Angelica felt more like working with a close friend than working with a vendor. This review is way overdue! My wife and I got married in March (85 person event) and worked with Angelica from venue selection onward. This was a destination wedding for us and our families. When we came into town for a few days to plan, Angelica would put together a tight agenda to make sure we saw all the vendors necessary. When we had some hiccups with the food at our tasting Angelica advocated with the venue on our behalf and got us a second tasting that was fabulous! When my Man of Honor had invite questions she responded quickly, and when my mother had an unusual request for a professional ballroom dance partner Angelica was able to make recommendations and make her dreams come true. She recommended the best venues and vendors, and her personal relationships with seemingly everyone in the Las Vegas wedding scene made communication and requests easy. Everyone commented on how incredible and organized the wedding events were (amazing since it was a whole weekend of events), and how kind Angelica is. She is the sweetest individual, but make no mistake she will lay the smack down with unruly vendors and make sure everything is in order for your special day if needed. I hired Juliet Douglas at Green Orchid Events as a "day-of" wedding coordinator. I planned the wedding myself, which took a year, but Juliet always made herself available to answer any questions I might have and offer referrals and suggestions for local vendors I could use. Then, she and Angelica had the daunting task of taking all my planning and putting it together to make our day "perfect - the way it was in my head." Juliet & Angelica are the most organized, nicest wedding planners I've ever met and worked with. They are so great at communication, which is very important when planning weddings & events! I have even attended a friend's wedding that Green Orchid Events planned. It was at a very unique location (Sky Combat Ace airplane hangar). The decor was so beautiful! Angelica was AMAZING. Not only is she a beautiful person, inside and out, but she is outstanding at what she does. She made planning a wedding so much easier. Everything I envisioned for my special day she made happen. And she did all this while bring pregnant and giving birth!!
