Very good pho, great service, clean and well kept! Definitely a go-to to get your "soup fix" on a cold day!

I was incredibly surprised to find such a good meal in the middle of Arkansas. I was tired from a long day of hiking in the area and from driving, so I had to take some time to think whether I was just really hungry, or if I had actually been impressed with the food, and I'm glad it was a combination of both! Although I did not expect much from the service to begin with, I was a little disappointed that the server was not very knowledgeable about the menu and was unable to give any recommendations on the food, especially because I was skeptical about how authentic some of the dishes would be. My friend and I shared the papaya salad appetizer. Which was a very large appetizer. Given its price and portion, if ordered on its own, it would have easily have been a full meal. My friend had the canh chua (sweet and sour soup) and I had the bun thit nuon cha gio. (vermicelli noodles with beef and eggroll). The seasoning in both dishes were tasted quite authentic. The eggrolls were exceptional. I would have liked to have more greens in my dish as well. The only other issue I had with my dish was that the beef was shredded into very small bits rather than in large chunks, so a lot it fell to the bottom of the bowl and each bite felt a little less satisfying having to dig around for a piece of beef. With that being said, overall, the prices were quite reasonable and the flavors were spot on.

Always good food and service! Vietnamese food continues to be my least favorite of Asian cuisines. I struggle with the taste and smell of fish sauce. My excitement for Pho is limited too. But, for some reason, out of all the Vietnamese restaurants we have tried, I continue to return to the Green Papaya in south Ft Smith. My wife and I have been eating here since 2015. I have always been able to find something on their menu I really like that doesn't have the overpowering pungent taste of fish sauce. On this visit, I may have found a Pho that I really like! The #8 Mi Thap Cam. A thin egg noodle soup with BBQ pork, shrimp, imitation crab meat and quail eggs. I really enjoyed this big bowl of soup. It was packed with the described meats, a couple of soft boiled quail eggs. The broth had abundant flavor. It was very good. My wife, the tofu expert had the #V7 Mi Xao Tofu. It had a great variety of vegetables and perfectly stir fried tofu. Another good meal! What I really like about this Green Papaya, in addition to the consistent quality of the food and service, is the cleanliness of the restaurant. Looking at the restaurant from the outside is deceptive. Inside you will find a modern attractive décor. The food is fresh and well prepared, with very good service in a clean restaurant.

Food is good but a little pricey compared to other Asian restaurant that serves the same food. Great service and friendly wait staff.

Food and service was really good. Minus 1 star because they no longer serve Pho or vermicelli…read morenoodles. The egg rolls were as another reviewer posted, definitely on point and I should have ordered two orders. The chicken wings were large and meaty and had good flavor for plain wings. The only downside for me was the bahn mi as it was too sweet inside and wasn't really the traditional French baguette bread I'm accustomed to being from California, where Vietnamese eateries are plentiful but overall it wasn't a bad experience, just disappointed that they didn't have what I was expecting, especially since Pho is in their name. I'd still come back for their egg rolls and to try some other things.

This place could survive based solely off the spring rolls alone…read more I haven't tasted fresher ingredients stuffed in a rice wrap since the summer of '09, right before our own local Vietnamese establishment shut it's doors for good. The cilantro wasn't soapy, the shrimp and chicken were sliced as thin as the rice wrap and flavorful beyond compare. The rice noodles were a cold and perfectly sticky consistency that added a bit of perfection to the overall consistency. The lettuce crunched, the carrots snapped and the peanut butter sauce absolutely banged. Pro-tip: if the chef suggests you stir in a little of her homemade hot sauce, do it. Three words: Off. The. Chain. The first $5 order of two rolls hit the spot, but didn't satisfy my craving. And when I say "didn't satisfy" I mean I could've ate 20 of the dang things before settling into a food coma. I didn't just want more, I needed more. So, I ordered more assuming I'd have a snack when I got home an hour later. Didn't happen. The rolls didn't make it out of the parking lot. Before I even turned the ignition over I had the second order of Vietnamese heaven demolished and devoured, not even a tuft of cilantro left lingering on the styrofoam serving tray. Overall a great experience. Stopped for a little snack and had my life changed. Despite being in the food court of a mall, it's a dead mall, the mood was chill and relax. The pricing was fair and the staff were exemplary. The chef was great at making conversation (even if she didn't necessarily have a choice) and the cashier seemed to genuinely appreciate my compliments in regards to the food. Definitely can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Driving from Tulsa to Memphis and found this place on the way back. I am so glad I picked it! Got…read morethe Super Bowl, egg roll and wonton soup. Egg roll was fine but, wonton soup was a bit odd because the wontons are fried but the broth was very good. The star was the Super Bowl. Roasted chicken, fried shrimp and some braised beef on top of noodles, onions and cabbage. Seems to me like home cooking and it was delicious! I will try to stop in every time I come through town. Fort Smith is super lucky to have this place and I would love to have it in Memphis.

It is advisable to visit the restaurant's Facebook page before you go to the restaurant. It will save time and save your neck, from trying to read the menu that is mounted up on the wall. There are helpful pictures on one of the walls. Order and pay at the counter. The food is delivered to the table. My wife had the Chinese Chicken. Stewed chicken pieces smothered in a seasoned gravy over a big pile of rice with a little cabbage on the side. The gravy tasted like it may have been seasoned with Chinese Five Spice. The meat was good and it tasted fine, but overall boring and not recommended. I had the Super Bowl. All the meats on this bowl were good. Bright red Char siu style chicken, good tender beef slices, and excellent tempura fried shrimp. All stacked on a big pile of rice noodles with a few slices of cabbage on the side. The noodles were in a sweet brown sauce that I didn't care for. The fried shrimp is delicious and recommended. The food is not impressive enough to get me back in the restaurant or even recommend it over some of the other excellent Asian restaurants In Ft. Smith. Diamond Head 2, a version of average Chinese food. Then there are these repurposed flip top Parmesan cheese containers (think Kraft Parmesan cheese bottles.) There are one or two of them on every table filled with a nasty looking sauce concoction. The top of the bottles are open, and they have a spoon stuck in them to serve yourself up whatever that is inside. You would have to be a brave soul to actually use the sauce. I'm surprised this gets past the health department.
