Beds are hard. Hotel is in need of an upgrade. Pillows are paper thin. Staff are not overly helpful. Not close to any attractions. Even our cab driver made fun of the hotel. read more

We loved our two-night stay at the Raganelli Hotel! We…read morearrived late in the evening with our tour group, and while it took a bit of time for everyone to get their bags to their rooms (the elevators are very small), the welcome was great and the rooms were fantastic. While the rooms might be considered on the smaller side, they were clean, comfortable, and had great bathrooms. Each one also had its own AC unit, meaning we could sleep comfortably at our chosen temperature that evening. While the hotel is a little ways away from downtown Rome, calling a taxi was very easy. My group wanted to go to the Vatican City early, and when we told the staff at the reception that morning to call a taxi, someone was there within 5 minutes to pick us up. It could not have been easier. I cannot speak to the hotel bar, but the breakfast was amazing. The room is rather small, but since the hotel is small it never truly filled up, and the options were plenty. Anything you wanted for breakfast they probably had, and it all was fantastic! I have nothing to complain about in regards to our stay here. The hotel is great if you're looking for something comfortable for your trip to Rome.

Breakfast had a wide variety, including several different kinds of croissants. Our tour company had booked a different room for us, but they had given us a room with the beds pushed together. It's away from all of the touristy spots which means you can…read moreactually walk around without seeing people with selfie sticks in your face and get a feel for the real Roman life. Yet, it's literally less than a 5 minute walk to the Metro (Cornelia station) which can get you anywhere in the city in mere minutes. The hotel is really proud of their high ratings (sorry Yelp, but check out the "other sites" for more reviews) and it shows. The front desk employees speak English very well and saying their helpful is an understatement. Also, some of the best meals my friend and I had were the ones nearby (Cacio e Pepe, Joseph, and Gustosando). Not to mention that there is a grocery store (En Grande) that sells not only the stuff you forgot to pack but also wine for 1 euro. And if you're not a wine snob, then that'll do, pig. That'll do... The rooms are very small but extremely clean. Just keep in mind that the electricity goes out when you leave the room so remember not to put anything you want to stay cold in the mini fridge. Bed was comfy.

From the moment you arrive, the staff is extremely welcoming and happy to help non-Italian speakers such as ourselves with anything from reservations and recommendations to transportation and tips. They provided perfect service and made our stay extremely nice -- Alice at the front desk and Aleksandra in the restaurant really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Also, the rooms are very comfortable with great AC and all the amenities. The location also couldn't be better - right in the heart of Rome, but not locked in a touristy / overly busy area but still walkable to anything you could be interested in. Definitely recommend this place.
We spent three nights here before an Eastern Mediterranean cruise departing from Civitavecchia. We…read morearrived and departed via Roma Termini, just a few blocks away. That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

You just call the front desk and I suggest as soon as possible to ensure availability. If you're going to city centre, please book round trip. The first day, we made the assumption we could just get back on. The driver penciled us in because there was room. I wish I could include pics of our room but I accidentally deleted them. I'd recommend this hotel over and over.

I was chatting with 2 women from England who had been there since 7:30pm. Facilities are great. You can borrow a power converter from the front desk, but they do run out of these if too many people want them. The one we got was super ghetto and made sparks and had to be held together by rubber bands, but it worked. Wifi is free but poor... there's a random alternate network called dlink near the rooms that is much faster. Restaurant: Service is... worse than Italian slow. I think because they have a captive audience they don't really care. Food is ok, nothing impressive. I went for breakfast and dinner. It's up on the 4th floor down a hallway and around a corner.
