First, the practitioners will parrot the same recommendations regardless of whether they make sense. And when you ask them to explain their reasoning they'll clam up. This whole breastfeeding institute or whatever they call it is a joke -- in a couple of appointments, their main recommendation was actually to use a Facebook group!! Second, the scheduling system and approach is nonsensical. You must call to get anything scheduled, and in order to get a real person on the line you have to possibly spend hours on the phone I suspect this is their way of reducing volume when they cannot keep up; they are assuming that some parents would just give up and miss the time window and go away. But one thing they are truly good at is billing -- those arrive right on the dot. In summary, why would you go to them: - For medical expertise? No, most of the time you don't even see a doctor. And the ones aren't anything special - For convenience? Big hospitals are not great, but at least you can call anytime and schedule online. Not like Senders. He spent over an hour talking to me and answering questions and i never felt rushed. He's old school enough to have seen it all yet still keeps up on new science. The best of both worlds. He talked to my little girl (6 months) like she was a person and let her see and touch the stethoscope and ear looker (technical term) before looking at her and she let him do his job without any fuss. My appointment was scheduled for 9:50 I got in the door 9:52 exactly (kiosk to check in is right at front when you get out of car from valet) so do not have to do any interactions until called from the nurse! Which is a plus (again a plus with for anyone who has kids) Dr. Patel GI specialist was my 3 Year olds Dr. she has very good bed side manners and everything went well, my son was fond of her giving the circumstances. I was out the door by 10:32 (kid you not) I will be returning here for anymore follow ups and or urgencies! Much respect for this place and all the staff I did encounter even though not that many.
