Highly overrated clinic - notice I didn't say pediatricians because you'll be very lucky if you are not funneled to a nurse cast majority of the time. First, the practitioners will parrot the same recommendations regardless of whether they make sense. And when you ask them to explain their reasoning they'll clam up. This whole breastfeeding institute or whatever they call it is a joke -- in a couple of appointments, their main recommendation was actually to use a Facebook group!! Second, the scheduling system and approach is nonsensical. You must call to get anything scheduled, and in order to get a real person on the line you have to possibly spend hours on the phone I suspect this is their way of reducing volume when they cannot keep up; they are assuming that some parents would just give up and miss the time window and go away. But one thing they are truly good at is billing -- those arrive right on the dot. In summary, why would you go to them: - For medical expertise? No, most of the time you don't even see a doctor. And the ones aren't anything special - For convenience? Big hospitals are not great, but at least you can call anytime and schedule online. Not like Senders. My pediatrician referred me here for help with breast feeding. Dr. Witt and Maya helped me a few months ago with my newborn because we could not get the hang of it. While I know fed is best, it was my dream to nurse my baby (I have pictures of me "nursing" my dolls and stuffed animals as a little kid). They were so patient with us as I sobbed through pain and frustration and my baby cried from frustration and hunger. We went through the steps and different aiding devices to learn how. It was also determined my baby had a slight tongue tie which Dr. Witt was able to take care of that day. It was completely atraumatic and immediately made a difference. I'm just so grateful for the help because with the help of a nipple shield I have continued to nurse my baby until ta-da! she doesn't need it anymore and can nurse normally. I would have given up long ago and missed out on such bonding with my little girl. read more

I don't typically leave reviews but I feel like I have to share the love for Senders. Over the last 2+ years since our son was born we have been taking him to Senders for his pediatric visits and I cannot say enough good things. To make a long story short, we started out with a local Cleveland Clinic office and after about 2 weeks of pretty terrible service with a newborn we ended up at Senders to see their certified lactation specialist (reportedly the best in NE Ohio). We realized right away that we needed to switch our son's pediatric care to Senders. And we have not looked back since. Everyone from the patient doctors, knowledgeable nurses and helpful office staff is awesome. They always find time to see us for a same day appointment if our son is ill, remind us and help schedule all of his well visits and have an outstanding nurse line available 24/7 with any emergency questions. Plus, they always call back (sometimes two days in a row) once the office is open again to see if he is better and if our nurse line call answered all questions. The staff here is seriously the best and so patient and understanding with us (first time parents) and our son. If you are considering a place for incredible care for your little ones then be sure to check them out. read more

I was referred to Dr. Witt to troubleshoot supply issues after coming down with mastitis. Similar to other reviewers, Dr. Witt was extremely terse simply asking 'Why are you here?' and 'What questions do you have?'. I left the appointment in tears after her ultimate recommendation was to discontinue breastfeeding if I didn't find it sustainable in the current state (desperately struggling with low supply, having tried every remedy to no avail) - hardly a helpful solution from someone I expect to support nursing mothers. I was having a lot of difficulty with breastfeeding and my son's pediatrician suggested I try Seeing Dr. Ann Witt at senders. I'm So glad I went! Before going I was in so much pain. Bleeding with each Feeding and my baby was getting my blood in his milk, dreading each Feeding to the point my baby was losing weight. As a new mother I had no idea what to expect a or what to do with all these issues. Dr Witt was so patient with us trying all different positions of nursing and seeing how my baby nursed on each side and in each position. She taught me many different techniques and was so encouraging and kind telling me the things I was doing right and the things I can do differently and improve on. She prescribed me two different ointments which I mixed together and applied several times a day. I swear that stuff is a miracle ointment! It eased my pain and started healing me the first day! I used my new techniques and without the help of Dr Witt I don't know where we would be today!!! We are going strong now 4 months and baby and I are doing great!!! Thank you Dr Witt!! read more

Top notch, fantastic pediatric office. We're from out of town, but my daughter woke with an earache on a Sunday, and we were flying home the next day. The lovely administrative person graciously made an appointment for us that day! (On a Sunday!!) The office is huge, and the waiting room has a delightful 2 story playspace in the middle, with a huge slide. My 3 year old daughter who had been listless, was immediately put at ease, and was in good spirits by the time she went in, where "Welcome Lila!" was doodled on the examination table. We saw Dr. Sellers, and he was so friendly and knowledgable, taking the time to not only get to know us, but of course to tell us all about the options for treatment for her ear infection, and how to handle the flight the next day. What a fabulous experience. My only regret is that since we live in New York, we won't be back anytime soon. Of course should she have a need for a doctor again in the future while we're visiting my family in Cleveland, we won't hesitate to return! read more
