It's a pretty large building, with a lot of booths of antiques, each with their own little specialties. We saw a dazzling array of things, everything from comic books to estate jewelry, to vintage oil cans. Lots of furniture on display. Some hand crafts, but not too many, mostly Mennonite quilts. I could have probably spent an entire day in this place, and there were times when Lee was poring over some of the booths as well. There's a central area for payment, and people there were nice and friendly. It was like going through a little museum in a way. I'd definitely give this place a visit if you're eating lunch or dinner here.

Located in the silos in the town of St. Jacob's, around the corner from the EcoCafe, Conestoga River Pottery has a lot to offer anyone walking through the door. Every shelf is filled with unique peices and collections for purchase. Its inspirational and quite lovely to bear witness to such beauty and creativity. I walked in and took my time in looking around. Found this gorgeous travel mug, a heart ornament and a small magnet made from another local artist of the landscape from BC. Where I had just visited months earlier. The young lady working was friendly. I called before going to ensure they would be open. She was talkative and upbeat. Definitely chipper compared to the other person there. Not too sure if the older gentleman was the potter/artist. He didnt seem very friendly, unfortunately. Perhaps my expectations are too high these days for people to offer a little bit more warmth. Especially with respect to this current, temporary pandemic. I understand everyone has their own ways of coping and we are all individually processing the changing times in whatever ways we can manage. When business owners are not personable, it makes me not want to be supportive. That's how I think as a patron and that's my bottom line. The mug I got is pretty awesome. It has a corked top. I encouraged some friends to visit, hopefully they'll follow through on that. And they'll have some good interactions with the shop owner.

I tried on an executive office chair in the store, my wife was on the hunt while I doddled looking…read moreat couches. I was wearing hiking shoes and sat in the chair she picked out one that I tried on a carpeted surface. I thought it was sturdy enough and the tag said it was $139 which I thought was a steal. There was a mesh chair that interested me more but passed on the $300 price tag. Too good to be true, I bought it anyway. I noticed in the store the lever for locking the tilt and height adjustment was installed on the left side of the chair. So when I got it home I naturally slid out since I was on a wood floor and at that point it I realized it was installed backwards and the handle should have been on the right. Next day I took the screws out, moved the lever to the right and I could suddenly sit down in it without falling out of it. Besides throwing it in my suv, I did little to assemble this thing. These items are final sale, so make sure you have assessed the value of the floor models some designer returned before walking out with something you with you never bought.
