The three stars is for their policy of putting repair items up for sale if customers don't pick them up on within three weeks. It's in the fine print (which admittedly I did not read) and they called me to remind and warn me which I greatly appreciate, but I have not heard of such a policy. Perhaps it's customary here? I'm busy and forgetful so policies like that don't work for me. I found another place in town that I like and is much more relaxed about picking up pieces.

All of the rushed chair seats were completely rotted out with large holes and loose straps. I took them to Higgins Chair Caning to be repaired. She re-did the rushing and all of the chairs are now beautiful and usable again! She does incredibly beautiful work. I poked my head inside to find it's small inside with a counter to bring your clock or watch to have it inspected and the majority of the store is actually behind the counter where they do the repairs and work. I was greeted very quickly by staff and offered assistance if needed but I browsed the clocks on the walls and looked at those in the display cases out front. They primarily focus on repairs of old watches, very historic ones, so if that's what you are looking for - you've come to the right place!

I gifted this clock to my oldest daughter several years ago and it still runs but could use a few adjustments. He told me he had gone over the clock and assured me it was in excellent condition. This clock was made around 1835. I would trust his expertise on any clock . Unfortunately sometimes twentieth century clocks although have sentimental value they do not warrant an expensive repair.
