BUYERS BEWARE. They allow misrepresentation of items. On 8/19/25 I won a lot of bulk .357 ammo described as "consigned notes approx 965 rounds". After pickup, I counted and found there to be only 439 rounds. Less than half of what I thought I was bidding on. I called and was told that because the description noted "approx 965 rounds", they didn't think this item was misrepresented and were not inclined to make it right, basically arguing that 439 was approximately 965. The gentleman told me he would check with the auction coordinator and get back to me. As of this writing, I have not heard back. I understand an auction company doesn't have to me to count every bulk lot, and while I would have been disappointed if the lot was 10-20% short, that would be understandable. I feel that this case is rather egregious because I did not even receive half of what I thought I was buying. read more

Another great experience at Green Valley! Honest, knowledgeable, and hardworking, you are not going to find better people than the Evans family. They do an excellent job of providing product descriptions along with detailed photos of all items for sale online. The warehouse is highly organized, and the staff is always courteous and helpful, which makes pick up day a snap. If you want honesty, efficiency, professionalism, and knowledge, you can't beat Green Valley Auctions. I know how honest they are. For example, while they were packing an estate for transport to the auction house, Greg Evans, an owner, found a woman's diamond Rolex watch that wasn't on the inventory and gave it to the estate's lawyer. The lawyer was astonished at the integrity of the auction company. Most recently, one of the employees who was packing some of my belongings found money and gave it to me. Before items are put up for auction, they are cleaned, tagged, and if necessary, research is done to make sure items are described accurately. Additionally, Green Valley Auctions has a system to make sure that items are accounted for accurately, and checks sent out in a timely fashion. Because I trust the integrity of Green Valley Auctions, I have used the company three times. read more

Will not do business with these people again. They do not show pictures of damage, nor is it mentioned in the description. This has happeded more than once. Call the auction house, and was Immediately met with a condescending attitude, but the person who answered the phone. I was told to send pictures, but after emailing four picture of very expensive antiques, with an Explanation of the items, along with a statement indicating there was more, I received an email stated it would not be cost effective for them to sell the items. i understand it is a business, but they didn't even bother to ask for more pictures of the over 100 items I had to sell. i should have not bothered after receiving such an unwelcome attitude from the start. read more

We hired Green Valley Movers to assists us in our short move from Fishersville, VA to Stuarts Draft, VA. ( only a 10-15 miles) A representative came out prior to the scheduled move date and gave the estimate of the cost for the move. On the move they had the 3 movers come out & begin the move, the problems were, they never wrapped nor covered the furniture with anything. When they delivered it to our garage in the new construction in the garage they literally dumped in the a garage uncovered or unwrapped. everything was completed uncovered allowing it all to become dusty and dirty. I was completely unhappy with the professionalism of this company. Then to even make it worse... They even attempted to charge me an extra $1000 over the quoted price for the extra charges because they workmen decided to take off early on the Friday because the truck broke down and it took them longer to complete the job then they expected. My husband, son and myself ended up using our own truck and trailer to help load and finish with them moving of boxes because one of the workers were so slow in loading anything.. All he wanted to do is talk..... It definitely was an eye opener and not a good experience. read more

Green Valley is the Greatest ! This is my third time with them. They got top $ on the first 2 auctions and I will see on 09/22/2017 what the third auction will net ! Can't wait. With regard to Lynn R review- well, my mother in law in Roanoke had a pristine Dining set and a local auction company would not take it for auction, consignment and told us to put is in the yard ! Not a scratch on it- antique- after 2 weekends we put a "Free" sign on it- no takers ! WE would have loved $9 per chair- WOW Green Valley. I will let you all know how my # 3 sale goes on 09/22/2017. I had Green Valley auction some dining room chairs that were in pristine condition. I should have put a minimum on them. My mistake. They sold for $9 each and they cost over $200 each. I learned a lesson and I won't be sending my stuff there. read more
