Warning -- Long Post I have been waiting to write this post until all work by this contractor was completed. Now, Green Valley Construction Bettendorf Iowa, 5 STARS!!!! Green Valley is a construction company that sells and installs windows-siding-and roofs. Here's our story. In late February we contacted Green Valley and chose them to purchase and install 10 replacement windows. My sales rep was Scott. Scott was knowledgeable, responsive, and honest. Our windows were scheduled for the middle of April. As you know, in early April we sustained damage from the tornado that went through Rock Island. At 11:00 a.m. that day, we're standing in the front yard, overwhelmed by the damage to our property, not knowing where to begin. I know I have siding and gutter damage and I need to find a contractor. Since Green Valley was going to install our windows, I called Scott. In 4 hours, Scott was on our property. He surveyed the house, took pictures, and began calculating the damage. A few days later, when the insurance claims investigator arrived, he found more damage which included the entire roof on our garage, the entire siding on the west side of our garage, and other areas on the house. Our insurance company worked with Green Valley on all of our damage. When the roofers from Green Valley arrived, they began work immediately. In 36 hours, the roof was done and the clean up was above my expectations. When we walked around the garage we found 2 roofing nails....2. The areas was cleaned up like they had never been there. Well Done! Then our windows arrived. The installers were friendly and spent their time working, not socializing, not taking breaks, but working. The windows are quality windows and look impressive. When the project was almost done, one window was not fitting correctly. Scott came and looked at the window and showed me that the old trim would not fit on the new window. I told Scott, "So go buy a little larger trim, no one will notice." Scott said, "That's one way to fix it, but that's not the right way. We're going to take the window out and install it correctly. That's the right way to do it.". The gutter people were there on time and the project was completed in a matter of hours, and done well. The same crew that installed the windows also installed the new siding. Again, the showed up for work on time, worked hard, and did a great job! Through all this, there were issues about getting siding to match the house and garage. Green Valley worked with my insurance company to find similar materials and jump through all the hoops. All we had to do was give our approval to the final product. When my insurance claims adjuster came to look at the damage, he was impressed with Green Valley's scope of work and estimates to complete the work. My claims adjustor said, "Your contractor knows what they're doing". We are very happy and impressed with the materials, installation, and quality product for siding, windows, and roof done by Green Valley Construction.
