Not enough to fill my husband's stomach. He ate half of my meal...which brings me to the next dish: burrito bowl. This was quite filling, flavorful, and large-portioned. It was nicely presented, even if in a plastic bowl. They were out of a lot of things on the menu, and there was no dessert to be seen, which was disappointing because vegan desserts are hard to come by. That's why I was excited to discover Portia's Cafe, a spot dedicated to fresh, nutritious ingredients. Their menu is vegan, gluten-free, GMO-free, and organic, using local produce whenever possible. After a marathon day at the office, I ordered delivery straight to my hotel room. While Portia's leans toward lunch with its quesadillas, salads, and wraps, good food is good food any time of day. I went with the Notuna Salad and Red Lentil Soup--a classic combo that absolutely hit the spot. The notuna (made from mashed, seasoned chickpeas, I believe) was flavorful, especially with the creamy cashew dressing over fresh greens and shredded carrots. The red lentil soup added a comforting heft to the light salad. I couldn't resist finishing with an apple almond cookie for a sweet ending. Portia's got me through my work night. I'll definitely be back on future trips to Columbus.
