I met my closest friends here and I used to countdown the days to the next time we'd all be reunited again. The campground is beautiful. It's spacious, green, and has a hell of a lot of mosquitos in the summer so bring lots of bug spray! The Wapsie staff is so fun and their energy is contagious. There's so much to do- climb the tower/zip line (which includes shouting "I conquered the beast" when you reach the top), archery, canoeing, there's an arts and crafts shack, volleyball court, and a pool! The new greatest edition to this place is chef William! He turned around the whole experience with Camp food which made getting our campers to eat so much easier, and it was all around just great food. I love this place and I highly recommend it!

We did the Sky Tours Zip lines here twice now. We really enjoy it, great guides, and 2 hours of…read morefun. Great for day trips. They now added full moon night zips, and we will be back! This is on the grounds of the old Union Electric fairgrounds, and the guides add a historical overview as part of the zip. Don't forget to tip your guides as they are often putting themselves through school.

We all would sleep in cabins and the bunk beds we slept in where really good so I hope this helped.

This place was not what I expected at all, but honestly that just added to my experience and made…read moreit funnier. Upon walking into my cabin, I started to die laughing because of how bare it was. I should mention that our door was extremely hard to open and we had to thrust ourselves upon it to open it. Needless to say, if there was a fire I don't think we would make it. Also, our windows were nailed shut, further decreasing our chances of survival. We turned on our heater because it was about 40° outside and began to smell something burning. However, we left for dinner and when we came back our cabin was still standing, so it should be safe. There is also a smoke alarm, so hopefully you'll hear it and try and get the door open before you die of smoke inhalation. Overall I enjoyed staying here because all of my basic needs were met and the cabin was laughibly bad. I would stay here again.

Beautiful appointed 35 acre horse farm. Call or schedule riding lessons through their online…read morebooking agent. The stables are well-maintained and the indoor arena allows for 4-season riding. Unless you have your own horse, lessons are on farm owned ponies. I love the fact that my daughter can learn the ins and outs of taking care of a horse. There isn't any hop on a saddled horse and run around the ring fluff. She starts by grooming the horse, saddling, and building confidence around a large animal. Her instructor is amazing and gives phenomenal, personal attention for the safety of the student and the horse. They start with the basics and eventually over time work their way up through a walk, Trot, Canter, and Gallup.
