(Burger King if you didn't pick that up) An extremely rude man on the phone tells me that the taxi is 10-15 minutes away (which is quite ridiculous to start with considering we were close to the taxi center), and after waiting 30 minutes outside in the cold, inclement weather, I call the rude man back on the phone and he tells me that the man is now 10 minutes away. Like BRUH, time moves forward not backward. I then cancelled the taxi, realizing had I walked to my destination I would have already gotten there. read more

I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first couple of calls but today was the third and last time. The dispatcher is really sweet when you call but HE'S SO RUDE when the service is lacking. I can not say enough for the wonderful experience, I had with Greenburgh Taxi, on Friday, May 6, 2016. The drivers were timely, professional, courteous and very engaging. I was not familiar with my destination, so, the first driver made sure, that someone met me, at the front door, as we arrived. I'm, only, sorry, I did not catch the first driver's name. The second one was Bill, who was a delight to talk to, throughout my ride. In this, seemingly, cold world, we live in, nowadays, it was a joy to encounter these drivers. After almost 2 hours waiting and a couple of calls in which they were very rude the taxi driver tried to charge me more than what he said at the beginning! Fantastic service! Dispatcher was courteous and easy to talk to, driver was professional and on-time, and car was clean. Most important of all, I realized I left my cell phone in the car about 10 minutes after the driver had left. Called the dispatcher, and they could not have been happier to help. Driver returned my phone TO ME within 5 minutes (I didn't have to go pick it up from them). Driver didn't even seem put out at all. I read the reviews and they seemed mixed. I previously had good experience and decided to try them again despite some concerns from the reviews. Big mistake!! Two days in advance, I booked a taxi to the airport for 5:30 am. At 5:25, I called to confirm the car was on the way. The dispatch said they had no record of my reservation. I had given them all my info including my credit card. He asked who I booked it with and I told him and he said maybe that was the Elmsford office and he was in the Peekskill office. I asked if I could speak to someone in Elmsford and he told me they didn't open until 6 am. I then asked if he could get me a car and he said "no" and literally started to yell at me!! Fortunately, I called West Side taxi and they came to my rescue and sent a car over in 10 to 15 minutes. I will NEVER use Greenburgh taxi again!!! read more

I don't have a review yet but wanted to add the following information to the site for my fellow yelpers since I wasn't able to find the information anywhere. I called a bunch of taxi cab companies in the area and asked for their one-way rate from East Hartsdale Ave to White Plains Airport (HPN) and when I should contact them to make the reservation. Interesting answers.... I guess they are not all on the same page in regards to pricing. I plan on posting the rates for 5 local taxi companies. Greenburgh Taxi Cost of one way trip (cash)-$30 (credit)-$35 Required to call 24 hours in advance to make reservation PS. Terrible. I use them as a last resort when Rivertown Taxi isn't available. They are routinely late, sometimes because they screw up very basic things, like which airport terminal to go to. They're also more expensive than other options. You're better off catching a Yellow Cab from the airports if it's not a busy time. The one upside is that they have a lot of cars, so they're pretty much always available. read more

Tried using them twice and both times, they said they would arrive within 15 minutes. An hour and a half later, they still never showed and after calling them again, they said, "5 more minutes." After 15 more minutes, they never showed up and I ended up driving myself to my destination. Very unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Don't ever ride with this company. Unfortunately we made this mistake and I had one of my worst taxi experiences ever. The driver was incredibly rude with us. I was being friendly with him and asked him how he is, where's he from, and similar questions when he suddenly stopped on the side of the highway and threatened to kick us out because he wasn't in a good mood. That's not how one should treat his customers at all and even if he couldn't talk he should have been much more polite. Being a taxi driver is not just about driving a car, but also about treating your customers with respect and being friendly with them. read more

I have been using them for years, but as soon as 2012 hit, problems started..... No, no, no!!!!! Absolutely the worst taxi company ever. I tried to cancel one time and they cursed me out and talked very rudely over the phone with me. They personally offended me and now charge over $5 for a location less than half a mile. Absolutely the worst!!!! Please switch to Tarrytown taxi, they may be pricey but its worth the extra buck. The cars smell like cigarette smoke and the dispatcher is rude as hell!!!! Great service. Got me to the airport (HPN) in a timely manner. The rate was reasonable, I suppose. I don't cab very often, so I can't compare. They do give you a little discount if you pay in cash! I reserved a round trip service with them. They picked me up right on time, maybe even a little earlier. My return trip was just as great. They told me to call when I have all my luggage and they would be in front of the airport within 3 minutes, and they really were! I would definitely use them again. read more

Horrible company. Do not use. I needed a cab to the White Plains train station because my car was in the shop. They failed to disclose that they were picking up someone else on the way. As a result I missed my train and was late for work. They didn't care at all and we're extremely rude. Don't ever use this company. read more

Charged 15.625% surcharge for debit card use after given cash price. Not sure about the legality of this practice, but the business would not waiver. They Never have taxis available and if they do The taxis are always late.. Useless worthless

I work at a veterinarian's office, some clients use taxi service. Never had a problem w/ Greenburgh Taxi before today. The driver who showed up over 1/2 hr after the stated pick up time simply stopped at a red light ACROSS THE STREET, and demanded the old lady with unsteady gait carrying her 15 pound cat "hurry up, hurry up" and get in the cab while the light was red. He did not pull off the active roadway to pick up the passenger but instead bullied the old lady and me (I was helping her out to the cab with her heavy cat). The driver had the shriveled, shrunken balls to tell me to hurry up because it's a bad intersection. INDEED IT IS! It is a very DANGEROUS intersection, and he demanded the little old lady RUN across the street and JUMP into his car. Her door was not even closed all the way before he peeled out (because the light had turned green, the way stoplights do)! This man is a very dangerous driver and my company will NEVER, EVER call Greenburgh Taxi again--there are far too many taxi companies serving this area to put our clients' lives in danger and to accept the bullying of an abusive driver. Splendid Taxi offers good rates, so we'll be using them from now on. read more

I have been using Greenburgh taxi for years,and I never will again. When the driver was 20 minutes late I called the dispatcher. He said the driver had been there, did not see me, and left. I disagreed; I never saw the guy. When the car arrived-40 minutes late- the driver was SCREAMING at me thar he was parked on the opposite sifde of the street, down the block. He was angry that I did not see him at the wrong location. I told him to stop yelling at me and asked what is wrong . He kept yelling " Do you want a ride or don't you!" I said get lost and never got in the car. I rescheduled my medical appt. When I spoke to Gerard, the manager, he was great anfd said I was completely right and the driver was completetly wrong. I used to work for an airport service and I would NEVER talk to a customer the way this idiot spoke to me.. Unless you are dying and need to get to the ER never ever call these guys.
