As a long-time resident of Greene County, this has been my go-to place for imaging services for years. Most of my doctors have offices in the Albany NY area, but when they try to schedule imaging at their facilities or affiliated hospitals, I insist on having the work done at Greene Medical Imaging. The facility has remarkably good equipment for a rural location, a first-rate technical staff, and very quick appointment times. Their in-office waits can sometimes be a little on the long side (bring a book), but they don't dawdle OR rush you through imaging processes. I've had a wide variety of tests done there, and none of my doctors has had trouble with or complained about the imaging results. Also, doctors in some practices have a direct financial association with their imaging departments; I've had a few request seemingly inordinate numbers of CT scans, for example, and sometimes I feel like they're benefitting (however indirectly) from the use of their own equipment. I want them to know up front that I'm using an independent provider so the financial issue stays out of the equation. Curiously, since I started doing this, they haven't been requesting *nearly* as many CT scans. Could just be a coincidence. At any rate, I'd say that in general the residents of Greene County have no reason to have their imaging done elsewhere. read more

My mother had a chest x-ray in 2012 which was read improperly by their Radiologist and a repeat chest x-ray in 2013 which was aslo read improperly based on the 2012 comparison and now she has lung cancer the size of an orange that needs to be surgically removed with an open surgery. The cancer is so large it can't be done laporascopically. If it was founf in 2012 her surgery would have bee minor and she would not have had to suffer so long. She will be in ICU for a day and have a hospital stay of 5-6 days and a recovery of 3-4 weeks becuase of this misdiagnosis. She has had to have so many tests and procedures to date and has not even had surgery yet. We will not know if there is lymph node involvement until after the surgery and then she may need 4 cycles of chemo. Do not go to this facility. Go to Albany. It's worth the extra driving time. read more
