I'm relatively new to Ft. Lauderdale. Having been distracted by a long distance move and a busy career, I'd neglected my dental health. A disintegrating crown and pain associated with a decades old root canal forced me to finally seek help. GreenEwe was recommended and local and so I booked an appointment. The office is friendly and cheerful- this helps as like most people I detest dental visits. After CT imaging (!) Dr. Yani met with me to talk through my issue and potential treatment options, while displaying a 3D rendering of the offending tooth on her phone. To my horror- the tooth was infected along with associated bone loss. I've since had the tooth extracted by her surgeon and I am in the process of preparing for a zircon implant. The process has been far less nightmarish than I'd originally envisions, and the aftercare has been attentive. I also appreciate Dr. Yani's sensitivity to treatment costs. I have a separate issue related to a cracked tooth. Rather than sell me on another extraction, or a custom milled crown, she proposed a strategic path which minimizes potential cost while optimizing for health. In addition, I'm impressed with the technology at Dr. Yani's disposal. Besides the capability of CT imaging, she has also invested in an on premises milling machine which allows her to manufacture replacement crowns and inserts out of zirconium. No multi week wait for an external lab to manufacture "parts"- she can create your crown/implant as you wait for same day service. Highly recommended read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Dr. Yani's office. I started treatment in September '25 for a few cavities. I had no pain before, but since receiving treatment, I developed constant sensitivity, pain when biting, inflammation, and radiating pain in my cheekbone. Not a single tooth she worked on is fully functional, and she removed so much from my bite that even soft foods often slip through when I try to chew. Because I've been eating only on the right side for over five months, my facial muscles don't work evenly, causing jaw pain that required acupuncture. I was advised to get ozone injections ($600), which didn't help, but I was encouraged to continue them. While dealing with these complications, I was offered elective services, told to extract a tooth on the opposite side(which would have made eating solid food nearly impossible), and criticized for my teeth alignment. There was no accountability for the issues I experienced. I spent thousands of dollars without improvement. When I decided to get a second opinion, I was told I'd have to pay for my records. I refuse on principle. Throughout all of this, my concerns were minimized, and I was repeatedly told to "be patient" and "stay positive." The principle of "do no harm" was not followed in my experience. I cannot recommend Dr. Yani. read more

I initially went to Dr Yani for assistance with an infected root canal tooth. I saw her at a biological dentistry seminar as I have been doing much research on the topic & thought maybe she could help me. When I called her office to inquire for an appointment, I explain I have severe dental phobia & need IV sedation & the office personnel said they perform this service. As I made the appointment, was told an upfront $250 consult fee was due in order to secure the appointment time, so I paid it. I also paid a $300 fee for 3D imaging. They do not take insurance, however over the phone I was told they would submit it to my insurance for reimbursement if any service was covered. I attend the appointment, Dr Yani was very nice & personable. After the imaging was completed by her staff, she spent about 30+ minutes discussing my dental story. She told me the extraction of the root canaled tooth was complex as it was infected & she would have another dentist she uses do the work...now that I am seeing her IG online I think she may be more adept at removing metal fillings rather than complex extraction/implants. When the consult was completed, I was asked to wait for the treatment plan & also told their system was down so they would NOT be submitting to my insurance as promised, but that I could do it myself. I was on a time constraint so I requested to treatment plan emailed & I left. At the time I was told it would be produced in 10 minutes. The next day when checking email I hadn't received the treatment plan & inquired & was told they don't work Friday's so I would receive it in the next week...weird bc was initially asked to wait in office as it would be ready in 10 minutes....Anyhow, few days later, I receive the treatment plan. I call & speak with Jennifer the office manager who tells me they are still trying to consult with an anesthesia team to bring in office because I need 'general anesthesia' I tried to explain to a layperson that it is in fact NOT general anesthesia...but nevertheless she tells me they have to bring in another provider for this, because apparently they DO NOT do IV sedation in their office as I was initially told upon booking. I can tell you I would NOT have opted to pay a $250 consult fee in a place that does NOT offer the requested service. Additionally, when Jennifer did send the treatment plan it was in excess of $10,000 for an extraction & implant & that DID NOT even include the anesthesia requested. This is VERY expensive for the service needed & I know this because after Dr Yani I went for 2 more consults, that did not require any prepayments & the office staff understood my anesthesia request & included all associated fees including anesthesia. Dr Yani's quote without the anesthesia was approximately $4,000 higher than the other 2 quotes I received that included the anesthesia. I'll also mention Dr Yani's office gave me a CD with the 3D image I paid for, however neither of the 2 other places I went could open it due to licensing restrictions of the CD..not too sure how helpful that was but the other offices opted to do the same imaging complimentary..so nice !!! In the end, Dr Yani's office manager calls to tell me they won't be able to perform the service bc they aren't set up for anesthesia, after this practice told me they do & have already collected $550 in fees. So I am trying to elicit some assistance from Jennifer to find out if the dentist that was going to be brought in to do my service would know of a place that's a biological practice & provides IV sedation...Jennifer was NOT helpful at all, she tells me she can't disclose the name of the dentist nor put me in touch & tells me he would be in their office on a Friday if I wanted to call back. Very unprofessional, unhelpful, & in my opinion dishonest to collect such a fee for a service that the office does NOT provide...when I told Jennifer this in a very nice way, she tells me likely the person who booked my appointment didn't understand what I was asking for...WHAT....??? This is a dentist office !!! Ok, so this is my experience at Dr Yani's & I am pleased to report that I found an amazing biological dentist that performed the service w/ IV sedation at a fraction of the price & I couldn't be happier...sorry to have wasted so much time, energy, & money at Dr Yanis office...if Jennifer was a good office manager she would've offered some sort of refund...but instead she gave me the run around..NOT APPRECIATED. read more

In complete shock. 12/22 - now 2/24 I have been robbed of money and my oral health is worse than ever. I have bone loss and full blown gum disease from Dr Yani's negligence. Her sweet personality fooled me and I was basically manipulated into spending $11k in her office to remove 2 root canals which in fact were not infected, my gums were not addressed properly, I complained about pain while eating and a bad taste and the response I received was "come in every 2 months for cleanings". Well here I am now at a new dentist potentially about to lose my tooth from BONE LOSS & severe gum issues. Her office staff Jennifer is completely rude and went into another room to basically bully and harass me over the phone when I called for my medical records. I emailed Dr Yani asking for a refund due to all the pain and suffering and now money I will need to spend for implants and to fix my gum and bone loss at a new dentist. Of course she didn't answer me but she had her awful front desk girl Jennifer harass me over the phone instead of being sensitive to the fact I'm in pain!!! I truly have no words as I've never experienced such evil in my life. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care what her reply is. It's BS. The receptionist Jennifer told me that other dentists are "money hungry after Covid" not to believe them. I literally have no words!! The reason I went to Dr. Yani was I was looking for a biological dentist in South Florida and after reading her website and review I was very excited I found the right dentist to help me. before I went to Dr. Yani I did a lot of research about biological dentistry, I know what I am looking for. Unfortunately, my experience was not as pleasant, and as much as I don't like to give reviews I do have to share them with you. I am a true believer in goodness. kindness and honesty, I share my experience to let you know and be aware, I do not have any personal intention to hurt Dr. Yani's business and reputation. As she states on her website, she performs the teeth extraction using a laser, ozone injection, and PRF to speed up the healing, the truth is she does not even perform the surgery, she uses a general dentist who comes to her office on Friday to perform to extraction! He doesn't use NO OZONE, NO PRF, and NO LASER. But I did pay a price for the biological extraction of my 3 root canal teeth! I didn't know until after I had a problem with her employees who were supposed to order my teeth retainer but forgot, so I end up leaving the office without a front tooth (replacement ) and a retainer which I paid for a few weeks priorto the extraction. This should never happen!!! I didn't feel comfortable letting Dr. Yani take care of my teeth since she gave me an estimate of $30k+ additional work which only included crowns and implants after my root canal teeth extractions. I found another biological dentist who innerstand my overall health problems and aftera very detailed and much cheaper examination (CT scan, X-rays...) I found out Dr. Yani neglected my very serious gum disease, the 3 extractions were NOT done biologically using OZONE, LASER, and PRF as I paid for, and the infection from the teeth I had to literally ask her to pull out because I knew they are the root of my overall health problems spread all over due to a general dentistry treatment I received! I am grateful for the mistake they're made by not ordering my tooth replacement retainer because if that didn't happen I would have never known how bad my situation was and I would have most likely ended up very poorly, I do not even want to say that or put any energy into that. My personal opinion is based on my experience with Dr. Yani and 3 other biological dentists and I do say, Dr. Yani's office is overpriced, very unprofessional, based on a simple Green little house setting, holistic vibes building, but behind that camouflage is a very expensive nonbiological treatment . I guess it doesn't matter if you are not seeking to heal or to findthe root of the cause of your health issues but if you do you should definitely find a true biological dentist who cares for you. I did approach Dr. Yani to get a refund for treatments to cover up my recent surgery to remove the infected piece of root canal tooth, metal and infection spread all over my entire mouth and the body but the only respond I get was a letter to agree to take my reviews down and consent to remain silent for only a partial refund. At this point, this review is not about money. This is about honesty, integrity, and love. I do not want anyone who seeks a biological dentist to heal, to go through the hell I had to go throug Dr. Yani is NOT a true biological dentist but she uses the term biological dentist as a tool to get a bus. Just because she removes an amalgam with the SMART system does not mean she is a biological dentist who cares for your health. Her prices are absolutely astronomical compare to other biological dentist in South Florida and the quality of care is the care comparable to a general dentist. Absolutely the worst. Dt. Yani mis--made four crowns, resulting in $10,000 of additional expense for her work that all had to be re-done, by a competent dentist. Not to mention lots of pain and additional time. She clearly did not know how to design proper crowns on her own, nor use her in-office equipment to angle the surfaces and produce them properly. Looking back, it comes to no surprise Dr. Yani's office was able to fit me in last minute. I went in to have a veneer cemented. Her staff which are really nice, spent about 20 minutes prepping the tooth and removing old cement. After this Dr. Yani came in to help complete the process. Her first try was unsuccessful,she didn't cure the cement long enough and it fell off again. After the veneer fell off, she did not prep the tooth again but instead just added more cement and tried again. This time was a success, or so I thought it was until the it fell off again, probably a little longer then a month later, while eating a piece of bacon. I am a little worried for anyone willing to trust Dr. Yani. Something as simple as bacon can make her work fall apart and then not willing to provide a solution to a very costly procedure. While I am no expert, I have seen enough dentists to know one not worth trusting or worth the money, especially if they are not willing to fix their mistake. I hope this can help others avoid the same mistake I made and look for another option. If it's too late for you best of luck. Post fix 24 hrs later. Worst of all to get it properly fixed cost $52 compared to the $350 I paid Dr. Yani. To be fair Dr. Yani did have to X-ray the tooth which cost $35. That's a difference of $244... what a joke. Yes, I did call the office and told her staff that I would write a review if she wasn't willing to fix her mistake but I guess that is not expected in her holistic office. Lastly, yes I did use a dentist in another state that is a friend. Funny enough he said that if something like that happened he would definitely fix it (she also commented on how well the veneers were done). When seeing Dr. Yani she wanted me to buy a night guard. When I turned her down she wanted to make sure I had paid before I left (WOW). Then commented if it happened again while sleeping I would have to get a night guard. Dr. Yani and her office has completely blown me away during each interaction. Even when I wasn't yet a patient, I called in with tons of questions as I was due to get a root canal with my previous dentist. Being that she takes a holistic approach, I asked her staff tons of questions about how the follow up process would work. They answered all my and told me to give them a call whenever I was ready. Post root-canal, I came to Dr. Yani to make sure everything looked okay, and to do in-office zoom whitening. She is so personable and knowledgeable, making me feel very comfortable. Hands down the best dentist in the area. When I first moved to Fort Lauderdale five years ago, I didn't realize how hard it would be to find a quality dentist that you can trust. Dr. Yani and her staff are a class act and are very fortunate to have been referred here by a friend. I had extensive work done by Dr Yani in 2017. Her protocol for amalgam removal is first rate (dental dam, air supply, masks, etc), but get your resulting dental restorations done elsewhere. One crown she made and placed didn't extend to my gum line resulting in extreme sensitivity to anything (including air) - the tooth became infected and subsequently was extracted by another dentist - I'm awaiting the implant. One onlay she prepared and placed has a jagged edge that isn't fully attached to the tooth and will need to be redone because it allows space for bacteria to enter the tooth. She placed a filling in a tooth that had a fracture without addressing the fracture and now that filling will need to be removed and hopefully replaced by an onlay and not another implant. I know that a crown can fail and I accept that my amalgam fillings were deep and old, and damaged my teeth; however, a crown should go to your gum line, onlays should be fully attached to your teeth and fillings should address the issues or an alternative restoration should be used. I wasted thousands of dollars here and may ultimately file a claim to get that money back. Dr. Yani has a lovely personality, but don't be fooled into thinking that translates into competence with dental restorations! In response to Dr. Yani's response - For clarity, you placed an onlay/crown with an open margin! There's no justification for that - beliefs are irrelevant here. You either do a good job that lasts or you don't. But since we're on the topic of beliefs, I don't believe in root canals, so strongly in fact that I elected to have a tooth extracted in lieu of a root canal. The onlay/crown with an open margin now needs a new onlay/crown. Theoretically, we're quite aligned. However, I only have one set of teeth and i don't believe in giving someone multiple attempts at doing a good job when I stand to potentially loose more teeth as a consequence (since I think everyone agrees that with every restoration you chance aggravating a root, causing infection, risking an extraction). And per my earlier review - I assume the risk of bad teeth, a crown failing because the tooth was irreparably damaged from amalgam, fine. But 2 restorations failing? What are the chances of that?! read more

(FYI to all the readers of the negative reports, the rude dental hygienist is no longer there!) I had a consult for removal of a mouth full of amalgam 2 years ago, and they put the fear of God in me. They mentioned cancer several times during the consult, showed me examples of decayed teeth, which I asked for, and I left feeling defeated because the price was OUTRAGEOUS and could definitely not afford. It took me this long to get the courage to try again because of some persistent health issues, and Dr Yani was recommended by my doctor. I'm a massage therapist and energy healer, so when I walked in her office, I felt an immediate calming energy, but still nervous as I watched the "mercury video" wondering if I could afford the treatment. The assistant that took the photos was very polite and explained everything she was doing. The office is very holistic, clean and uses the most updated digital equipment. Dr Yani even makes her own toothpaste for the cleanings. She researches every product she uses to find the safest materials and ingredients. The hygienist, Andi, was very good. Dr Yani was polite, informative, took all the time I needed, and was willing to answer any questions along with discussing her personal story about amalgam. She was very sensitive to my needs and fears and put together a comprehensive yet conservative plan for my situation. She did NOT try to up-sell or suggest things I really didn't need. I walked out very calm for the first time in 2 years knowing I could afford to have this work performed for better health over a period of time. I am a holistic psychotherapist. I was both a patient and a referral source of Dr. Yani. I can no longer refer my holistic community to her. I came to Dr. Yani with some serious teeth and gum problems. After spending approximately $3,000 in a time-frame of 15 months, I was told by the hygienist that they never took x-rays in that entire time to even monitor my problem. Then I was told it would cost an additional $1500 to correct the problem. My teeth and gum problems had worsened and I was in pain. When I mentioned this to Dr. Yani, she attacked me verbally (while at the same time asking me to lower my voice) and terminated me as a client. I was horrified! They have literally made things much, much worse and operated under a profit over people initiative. 3 botched root canals later, I neglected to visit another dentist in fear of my trust being manipulated once again. After one of my previously "worked on" teeth decided to break into pieces, I decided it was time for a visit. I went to yelp to research local doctors in order to avoid my previous mistakes. By far, Dr. Yani had the most rave reviews, so I took a chance. This perceived risk turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made regarding my personal health. Their staff is awesome, personable, and accommodating. I found myself staying an hour after my procedures were done engaged in conversation with them--- who can say they ENJOY going to the dentist? I CAN! Dr. Yani and her crew operate under a "people over profit" agenda and it is so refreshing. Your health is their number one priority: always. I went in resembling the "problem patient": a project worth of work needed in my mouth. NOW, 3 months later, I am almost completely finished and feel awesome. Boy, are we happy. We moved down from Boston at the end of September and were dreading finding new doctors here. We spent a good few weeks researching online reviews and dentists' websites, before opting for Dr. McConnell. Happy to say it was a great decision. Dr. McConnell is professional, personable and extremely capable. She and her team gave the two of us the most thorough check-up, x-rays, cleaning and consultations we've ever had. They found or suggested things that had never been introduced by our dentist in MA. Like Alex M. said in his 10/9 Yelp review, things were found that our previous dentist had totally missed. Thank God. We also liked their balance between health and aesthetics. And at no time did we feel like we were being pushed to buy something. We both highly recommend this office. Orribile experience!i looking for a dentist and I choose her just for the reviews, I went in there , they did a check and after that I start with the dental hygienist, she was completely crazy, she start to told me and judge me because of don't clean well my theeth, she was nervous and start to talk with me in the orribile way !she ask me how many kids I have , and when I said three and the first one she is bigger than other two 10 years she ask me if was the same husband !!! Anyway I asked for the brace Invisalign actually and they said that I can put it after care all my cavity ($26000)they was ok but they suggest (insisted) to buy the brace in that moment because there was a good deal only for on week !!! Check twice. Your health and wallet are worth it! Dr. Yani and her team recommended that I have 4(!) teeth removed because they had inflammations on the roots. Their scaring and coercing tactics work so well, that I, against my better judgement, had one tooth removed. It was done so poorly and they removed so much bone that I needed bone reconstruction for an implant to be placed. The gum around it is still too low. When I later went to a real specialists, he could tell from the x-rays that the tooth likely could have been saved by a simple root canal treatment. He also saved the other three teeth which are perfectly fine now. Dr. Yani in general is in the money making business. Not sure why she calls herself holistic or caring. She has a Periodontist who needs business, so they have to remove teeth to keep him busy. It's as simple as that. She also tried to sell me a set of night guards for $900, even though my current one is still good. She started sulking when I rejected. The teeth cleaning lady also kept trying to sell me unnecessary treatments. Dr. Yani's prices are 30-50% higher than average. I can only highly recommend to get a second opinion and compare before having anything done at Dr. Yani's. I have evidence to back up all my claims. My husband and I did not like the hygienist we had. Her bedside manner was condescending and the cleaning was not gentle. I also felt she was trying to pressure sell me on extra X-rays and additional deep cleaning treatments. But the dentist, Dr. Yani, was polite and kind, and willing to give a second opinion since I needed one after the hygenist did her part. They also were responsive when I complained so I appreciate the customer service. read more

Overpriced and staff plays games. was looking for a new dentist as my old one recently retired. I always saw him twice a year, had regular cleanings, floss daily. I saw all the excellent reviews and so I came to Dr Yani. While she is very nice, her hygienist wanted to charge me $168 for just the cleaning , which was no different than the cleaning I had 7-8 mos before at my old dentist's for $100. I complained because I was quoted $225 for X-rays and cleaning and in the end that is what I paid. I was also told I needed a crown on one of my premolars and was quoted $1500 to do it. Again, that was much more than I paid for crowns at my former dentists office. When I told her staff I didn't want to pay that much and wanted the X-rays and pictures they took, Ivonne said I had to pay $25 for the pictures which I paid. Then the picture did not make it to the new dentist he first time. So when I didn't want a crown at $1500, I feel I got the passive aggressive treatment having to pay for picture they took of my own teeth and then experienced problems with pictures being sent.. Sorry, but as nice as Dr Yani was during the 3 minutes or so I talked to her, this place is overpriced and I shouldn't have been charged $25 for pictures of my own teeth, and then had to go back a few times to make sure my pictures were sent. So I cannot recommend this office. read more

This has been my experience since August 2016 : 1. Pricing : very well priced. The pictures and x-rays are incredibly thorough. 2. Cleaning: Best I've ever had- been twice. 3. Mercury filing removal : fast and completely painless. Excellent work as well. You cannot even tell that tooth has a filling. 4. Invisalign: I'm on month 4 of Invisalign. Awesome experience so far!!!! Wish I had done it sooner. 5: State of the art office 6: Staff is excellent and very funny and nice 7. I never wait more than 5 minutes !!!!! I'm in and out very quickly. Dr. Yani is polite, patient, and very smart. I trust her completely and have recommended her to friends. read more

By far the best dental experience I've ever had. I'm super weird about going to the dentist and she along with her staff made me feel at ease. The first exam consists of screening for oral cancers PH balance check, X rays and a ton of time dedicated to ask any questions you have. I didn't feel rushed at any point and time. The staff are extremely personable - very lovely. After an email, phone discussion and registration it appears you cannot get a teeth clean without seeing the doctor (new patient) - unfortunately it was a waste of time for a simple teeth clean! I hope my next trip will be better! read more

Dr. Yani is an angel. I have never been treated with such care and concern by a health care provider in my whole life. Today was my first visit and to be honest, I didn't want to leave. Let me start by saying, I was very emotional about my recent gum disease issues and other health challenges, all of which lead me to research a holistic dentist. From my first call over thanksgiving weekend, Dr.Yani (herself) answered the phone and took time talking to me.I called to book an appt. NO WAIT and the staff was amazing.The Dr. cares about your whole health in the most beautiful,informative,non-judgmental way.
