A friends son who goes there told me just to call and visit that the staff is very accommodating and addressed all my concerns. They also let him visit a couple times before enrollment (Mrs. King is assigned teacher is amazing) and all the parents seem so friendly and good, wholesome families. I also wasn't sure if my son was going to take to it. He loved it from day one! The teachers all have smiling faces. I love that they work more on academics than some of the other schools seemed like their were more into creativity or independence. Even though they do all that too. Only after a week, I see such a difference in my 3 year old. He actually tells me each day what he learns. The staff is kind if they have accident and I feel safe having my son in their care and he is progressing as a student as well. I wish I knew the cute songs he is singing about school.

Large indoor playground and basketball hoop are great for rainy, or scorching hot days. Flexible schedule and hours, make it easy for parents. Safe environment, with an emphasis on academics that is appropriate for preschool and kindergarten. Love this school, and as a former teacher, it was important finding a balance of play time, and education. Teachers run "centers" led by instructors or aides to teach reading and math skills. GBSH prepares students for elementary school.

Barbara, the owner, welcomed us with open arms and went above and beyond to make full-time care work for our family--and that meant everything to us. Now, my girls absolutely love going to school. They adore all of their teachers, the environment is so warm and nurturing, and they come home happy (and tired--which every mom knows is a win ). I love the fact they have farm animals and the children can feed them and gather eggs, they get to plant a garden and learn about nature. When they have tested for kindergarten readiness they tested above the requirements. Your child will love the school.

Eureka School Board in Granite Bay decided not to end the mask mandates for our children yesterday…read more2/15/2022. They decided to wait for the state to lift it. My issue with this is that we have a Governor who implemented this mandate but chooses not to follow it when it comes to him and his colleagues; when they don't think we are watching. Not only that, We had a superbowl in Los Angeles and obviously there was no concerned about mask, most everyone showed their beautiful faces with excitement. Roseville, Rocklin school district decided to drop the mask mandates but not Eureka. What a shame this is because it seems it's about the money and not the children. I hope parents will encourage the mask mandates to be dropped so our children can enjoy the same excitement as our governor. Parents should call the Superintendent Tom Janis at 919-791-4939 and let him know that getting a fine for students without mask is worth it. If things continue maybe us parents could vote him out of his position along with the others who puts money before our children. Thank you Roseville, Rocklin for caring about our kids!!

I have mixed thoughts about John Adams. The primary side is quite different from the secondary…read more It's fantastic to have a school where the flag means something and our young children can learn to have a health and happy respect for it and their country. Flag salute should be mandatory through out our nation and at John Adams it is. Yes there are a few misguided "want to be" activists (over at secondary), who, in all honesty, should just let it go and move on to the regular public school of their choice. The teachers on the primary side are all just the best. Learning and living JAA's 10 core values everyday is one of the very most important things they do along side the "three R's". The best thing you could do is enroll your kids at JAA at the youngest age possible. It is much harder for a middle or high school child to come here and fit in, however, if they had come up through the primary program here first, then there is no culture shock when they move up to the secondary school. Servant leadership is a good philosophy to teach but it probably means something a little different to everyone. At secondary, there is a problem with admin/board leadership. It sometimes seems to be "do as I say and not as I do". They may have an "at will" employment contract with the teaching staff, but it should only be exercised after all other remedies are exhausted. This year has been very troubling because of abuse (in my opinion) of the "at will" employment contract by both teachers and admin. I believe stability is very important to the education process. My daughter was very destabilized when one of her favorite teachers, without warning, announced he was leaving. Then, another favorite teacher was suddenly removed from his job. She and her class mates have had to endure multiple changes to teaching staff this year making it near impossible for the students to get settled into their routine. Hopefully JAA admin and board will come to terms with this self created and self destructive problem and act to correct it in the coming years. There absolutely is something to be said about the Mormon influence on this campus. It does exist. Since most of the board is Mormon, this should come as little surprise. It's not that it's a bad thing as this school would not exist were in not for these very same folks. In fact most of what goes on at JAA is a good thing. However there have been some incidents where Mormon students caused disruption in class, then ganged up on teaching staff to get them fired, bragging about it later on. This is very troubling. And when this author posted a comment on the parents communication website about what happened, it was immediately removed. When I requested the reason why my post had been censored, I received no response. I asked for my post to be returned to me, I received no response or reply. I would escalate this issue but for concern of reprisal toward my daughter. The admin/board of JAA clearly does not like to be challenged in any way. And I find that very troubling. None of this is a deal breaker for me though. My daughter for the most part loves the atmosphere here. She loves her teachers and friends she's made here and she will finish high school here. My reason for shinning light on these things is not to discourage enrollment. I still believe this is a fine school and that most all schools should be patterned after this one. No my reason is simply truth. If people know about these things they might ask about them when checking out the school for their children, and if they ask, then the school might consider doing things a little better. Bottom line is, I would like to see the school "police" itself better and continually be looking for ways to improve and/or right any wrongs they are responsible for. All in all, JAA is a great school, especially if you are looking to get your young student off to a great start!

Subject: Urgent Traffic Safety Concern Regarding John Adams Academy Drop-Off/Pick-Up…read more To the City of Roseville and the appropriate traffic and public safety officials, I am writing to formally raise a serious and ongoing traffic safety concern regarding John Adams Academy in Roseville and the way its parent drop-off and pick-up traffic is being allowed to impact surrounding public roads. This is no longer simply an inconvenience. It has become a significant public safety hazard. I have personally been involved in collisions involving drivers associated with the John Adams Academy traffic, and I continue to encounter extremely dangerous conditions during school drop-off and pick-up. The current traffic situation is particularly dangerous around the entrance from Harding Boulevard into the Sierra Gate Plaza area. During peak school traffic, the line of vehicles backs up onto the public roadway and interferes with normal traffic flow. Drivers are blocking the far-right lane, making it extremely difficult for through traffic to safely pass. At the same time, vehicles attempting to enter the school line are backing up beyond the designated center/"suicide" turn lane, creating additional conflicts for drivers who are simply trying to travel straight through the intersection. This creates a situation where drivers have limited safe options: they cannot reasonably use the right lane to get around the congestion, they cannot safely proceed straight without navigating vehicles that are stopped or attempting to merge, and they are forced into unpredictable lane changes and interactions with vehicles entering and exiting the school line. What is especially frustrating is that this is not an unexpected or isolated problem. John Adams Academy has an established driveline system and staff assigned to manage arrival and dismissal traffic. The Academy's own safety documentation states that its staff and volunteers are responsible for managing the driveline and that its procedures are intended to keep scholars, staff, visitors, and surrounding traffic safe. (John Adams Academy) Yet the traffic continues to spill onto public streets and interfere with people who have absolutely nothing to do with the school. The City of Roseville has an obligation to consider the safety of all road users--not just the families attending John Adams Academy. Residents, commuters, emergency vehicles, pedestrians, and businesses should not have to navigate an unsafe traffic pattern every school day. I am asking the City to take immediate action, including: * Conducting an on-site traffic and safety assessment during actual morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. * Enforcing existing traffic laws regarding blocking lanes and intersections. * Determining whether the current school entrance is appropriate for the volume of traffic it generates. * Requiring John Adams Academy to prevent its parent line from backing up onto public roadways. * Evaluating whether the Harding Boulevard entrance needs to be restricted, redesigned, or closed for school drop-off/pick-up purposes if the traffic cannot be contained safely on school property. * Reviewing the history of collisions and near-misses associated with this traffic pattern. * Developing a traffic-control solution that allows ordinary through traffic to continue safely without being forced into dangerous lane changes. At this point, I believe the City needs to stop treating this as a normal school traffic inconvenience and start treating it as the public safety issue that it is. A school should not be permitted to create a recurring traffic condition where drivers cannot safely use a public roadway simply because the school's drop-off and pick-up operation cannot contain its own traffic. I strongly urge the City of Roseville to investigate this situation before someone is seriously injured or killed. This entrance needs to be reevaluated, and if a safe solution cannot be implemented, the City should seriously consider shutting down or restricting this entrance for school drop-off and pick-up traffic. Sure, it's very nice and they remodeled it several years back, the teachers are friendly enough, but as far as education goes, parents can do much better. What makes this a 2-star rating is the fact that I was tormented constantly and it had gotten so out of hand, my parents considered switching schools. There are better schools out there.

She has spent 10 months teaching herself and has mastered "TheStar Spamgle Banner." Try-outs were last week and she was so excited. She didn't make "the cut" again. This is not about talent...it's about who the teachers that pick the talent like or their "favorite." i wiped her tears away for the 3rd year...and explained to her exactly that. They should allow anyone who tries out to be in the "show." It's unfair and unkind Frankly...
