I originally came across their website through a Google search, and I saw they had the firefly petunias available; so I pre-ordered them online, made a trip today to pick them up. What a beautiful shop! Admittedly, it is on the smaller side in comparison to other plant nurseries, but it makes sense seeing that it is hidden along a quiet residential neighborhood. Regardless, it was still stocked full of beautiful, thriving plants; both indoor and out. They had a good sized lot available for parking, and it was simple for me to find an employee when I needed assistance. Staff members were very helpful at locating me my order, as well as being kind an efficient during my checkout process. I honestly didn't plan to get anything extra, but they had too pretty of a selection to resist, and their prices are incredibly fair. So happy I found Telly's, and I'm sure I'll be back.

It's…read morespringtime in Michigan so, I like many other Michiganders, can not wait to plant flowers and vegetables. I really wanted some hanging flower baskets. They had a wide selection of hanging baskets are varying price levels. I love how they have signage with helpful information such as the pricing for the baskets based on color of the tag or warning us not to plant outside too soon as frost is still an option. I was surprised how large this place was as when you see it off of 23 mile road it doesn't look that big. There were several different rooms all stacked with gorgeous flowers, plants or vegetables to plant. I also noticed this place is spick and span clean. There were plenty of carts/baskets to roll through and put your flowers in. I ended up buying one potted flower, a hanging basket, a potted assortment for the porch and a bag of some basic garden soil. My bill came to $100 (I bought the big combo flower arrangements) ; I was able to use a $10 off coupon bringing my total to an easy $90.00 I will be back.

I moved in my new home 4 blocks from this garden center in 1992 and have bought my Spring annuals for Easter, May and Summer flowers for planting in ground and patio pots. The prices vary from the other local farmers nearby, but I can say that Ray Wiegand's nursery Guarantees their selection of flowers, plants, trees, shrubs and all items sold. Their plants are grown healthy and colorful as well as the hanging baskets and already grown in pots. The staff of family or friends who are working in many areas of the greenhouse or outside are always helpful and knowledgeable and ready to assist your questions about buying and planting plus offer guidance to problem plants that may be an issue with growing. The store also sells many statues, gardening supplies, outdoor furniture with monthly seasonal decorations for your home! I have been also very pleased with the quality and style made when purchasing in November a Memorial Christmas grave blanket for the cemetery. My Photos are attached of the many handmade Memorial items. Holiday shopping before Christmas is the busiest time to see and enjoy their colorful and sparkling display of lights, trees, wreaths, and much more! They have a lot of employees that have been there for years and are very knowledgeable. I typically buy a lot of my garden vegetables, fruit trees, and berry bushes from Wiegand's and I think the price is fair for the quality of the plants. I highly recommend Wiegand's. She just finished putting together her Yelp friendly photo opp area. She told me how excited she was as she took pictures of her handiwork and sent them quickly in a text. I perused the rows of everything from cacti to ferns, trying to find that perfect gift. If you ever thought for a moment that you don't have the green thumb to sustain life, then an air plant might be right up your alley. The air plant display was aggressive and it allowed a range of sizes from pinky to fist and larger. Not only. Would you find the care instructions on the wall, but there were paper copies to take too. Apparently it's harder than it looks. Plants dotted the windows overlooking the neighboring business and cars that passed. Broad leaves hung boldly overhead and little potted delights sat whimsical on tiny shelves. The whole scene just cried out for a nearby cafe with proximal seating to all this beauty. This is not a bargain shop. It's a little quirky mom and pop with a slim profit margin. Even in paying a bit more, have pride that you are buying local and supporting a small business. Viva The Plant House!

I stopped here too, today Tuesday August 15th…read more My main purchase was sweet corn. Now this location was $0.25 cheaper = $4.75 a dozen. This farm business had more white corn to choose from and the bi-color + also yellow. I bought 6 White and 6 Bi-Color to make my dozen. After parking, are large wagons carts already sorted with colored corn to bag up faster. Then pay inside and/or shop also for vegetables and FRUIT. Everything is arranged very nicely, labeled properly with signs to read prices. I bought 3 nectarines the size of a softball at $1.29# I will try and if they're juicy and sweet, then I'll come back for more. There are some summer help "students" working along with 2 old time sisters.. Owner Virginia is 84 and sister Marianne is 82. Both of them work here to keep busy with their "senior peppy energy" since it's their family business! I did not get their names, shame on me, but I will have to go back and buy some more delicious corn. I had one of each color for dinner today and it was perfect and did not need any salt because it was sweet enough. The history of this farm goes back many years since 1926 , see my photo with the sign to prove. Also do the math it's 92 years old. Its a very well-kept farm with competitive pricing and fresh produce. I have in the past bought 2 or 3 beautiful, full size hanging baskets with 6 different plants in pot at lower prices than English Gardens, or Weigands. Shhhh Again I look foward also at the end of July and the month of August to buy from this location. Clap your hands, Thumbs up for these Farmers, that are still working hard over many years, down the line carrying on the growing farm tradition and their family business name. Let's support your neighbor, the farmers that I've been here way before any other residents in this crazy busy city of Macomb Township. I am happy to drive up, stop and shop to support them! ;)
