Our landscape firm recommended that we go to Telly's to select a special red maple for an area on…read moreour property that is outside where our landscaper's work. We found a beautiful specimen, bought it and contracted to Telly's to plant it. This was in September of 2025. Now seven months later, the specimen is dead. We took pictures to the store and I spoke to the person who sold me the tree originally. He told me he needed to consult an "expert". I was introduced to another man who looked at my pictures and fairly immediately diagnosed that there was something wrong with our soil and that is what killed the tree. He indicated that their warranty did not cover disease. He showed me the treatment for the soil and explained how to do it. We spent $90 on this treatment. After consulting with our landscaper, there were several things that were suggested, but here's the most important one. The tree dying so quickly would suggest that the disease may have been in the potted plant's soil WHEN it was planted. The landscaper found it unusual that if the disease were newly introduced to the plant from our soil that it would have died so quickly. At any rate, we will never buy another specimen tree like this from Telly's. This experience really felt like a "setup" between the two employees. We had to speak to the guy who knows how to "sell" this whole soil disease excuse. As consumers, we were in no position to argue. We'd suggest that you be very careful buying an expensive specimen from Telly's and risking having your money go up in smoke in just a few months time!

It reminded me of Bronners Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth but on a smaller scale. A separate area next to the main shop had lots of Christmas trees and an area for children to meet Santa Clause with proper social distancing and a barrier in place. I recommend visiting Sherwood Forest during Christmas if you are looking for holiday decorations.

That part didn't go as well as it should have, the weather turned up the heat, and for as much as I watered: still the plants were charred by the string of super sunny, hot days. Coming here's a pleasure because their not a huge facility like Bordine's or Lowe's. Parking's tight but doable you just have to be careful when backing out since it's literally on Auburn Road, which is super busy and the speed limit's 50 MPH. They have a great selection of items to choose from, and prices are competitive and fair. What keeps me coming back is the staff. Their super friendly and are extremely knowledgeable. They also have regular sales and keep up with seasonal stuff like pumpkins, Christmas décor and other stuff as well. They also stand behind their products so if you buy a tree or plant, I think they will credit you if it does die. Don't quote me on that, but these guys really do stand behind what their selling. Overall a fabulous little nursery in a world of big box stores, we love coming here for just about anything!

The store is full of eclectic and vibrant decor that will speak to the hearts of artists everywhere, ranging from clothing, to furniture, to toys and museum quality gifts. It has a variety of quirky finds that I've never seen before. The intention here is almost like a local gallery exalting each stunning piece of art, no matter how small. The pieces ranged from the very tiny porcelain dog, which was about the size of your thumb, to the very large bears, that were furry and taller than me. Colorful, diverse art dotted the walls and were displayed in all different living room themes for all different tastes and styles of home. This was a clever idea. You could picture the decor in your own home. "Buy local" is the intention here and deteriorating properties were bought up by the owner and given a stunning facelift to elevate the community. This was a closed down roller rink. There was also a cinema next door that turned to a gift shop and off beat eatery. The unique history of each is preserved in the original artifacts throughout. Being that this is art focused and unique, don't have the expectation of Walmart prices. Of course you're getting one-of-a-kind quality pieces that will make your heart sing when you see your selected art displayed proudly in your home. If you're looking for something unique, funny, fun, or more of a traditional purchase then this place is for you. We were able to purchase some very cool gifts for friends and family that were tailored to their personality. The shop's staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed them and they were also pretty available when we needed someone even though they were a bit busy. As for the prices I would put them on par for a place that sells the selection that this place has. You can find some items that are cheaper (not cheaply made), and other items that are pretty high (saw a pillow for around $300 ). I will definitely be putting this place on my list of shops to go for the next time I need to shop for friends and family!
