This place is a disaster. Last year I purchased plants from here and they spread powdery mildew to my e tire garden and killed everything. Today, I stopped there after apparently not learning my lesson. That was a mistake. The cashier proceeded to call me rude and obnoxious and followed with telling me "f**k you." The owner incredibly condones this kind of talk directed at customers because after speaking with him, he just said "okay, have a nice day." Please go somewhere else for your garden needs. This is definitely not the place. The plants are infected with powdery mildew, and the staff are all incredibly rude and disrespectful. read more

Drew's had made some major improvements this year! They changed up the greenhouses and have added a LOT more space and just tons of flowers, plants, topiaries, herbs, and vegetables, and have expanded the parking lot. They have also added little farmer's market selling snacks, cheese, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Prices seem to be right in line with other garden centers, not too much higher and not too much lower, depending on what you choose. They have pre-arranged flower baskets and planters, and even herb gardens with all the herbs you would want. Items that they want to spotlight are right in the street front of Gratiot, with the farmers market and the greenhouses a little further back with tons more hanging baskets, annuals, and herbs and vegetables. Additional flats of annuals are located in the greenhouses behind that, and some of the hard to find perennials are located there also. Their seasonal employees ranges from just there doing their job, to very friendly going above and beyond to greet you or to give you a hand taking everything to your car. I was quite happy with my couple of visits there so far this year's and I'm sure I will be back to have a couple more looks around. My baskets are hung, and my annuals are planted, along with some new poppies too. I can't wait to see them open and grow! read more

I had received an ad about Drew's Garden, and how they have a vast array of plants and flowers. This was my first time coming here to find a specific hanging plant called pothos and one of the employees was very kind, and helped me find the correct greenhouse to go to. It's also convenient they sell supplies for landscaping, and garden decor! read more

I was at Drews Garden today. I shop there quite often. Great selection for all your flowers and vegetable needs. I was in line behind a guy who tried to buy 1 tomato plant out of a 4pk. Told the cashier it was all he needed. He was told they are not sold that way. He got rude with the cashier, and used foul language. Then has the nerve to write a bad review. Please do your shopping at Drew's. You won't be disappointed. read more

Drew's is a great gardening center! I found a ton of amazing plants here, as well as some very helpful staff members. They have a huge selection of annuals and perennials, and a lot of pollinator-friendly things, which I was really into. I also found a great selection of indoor plants, including some HUGE and happy aloe vera plants and lots and lots of snake plants. The woman working the counter inside the greenhouse got a good laugh out of me shoveling 6 plants into my greedy little arms. "I can't get a cart for these," I explained, "the rule is I can buy only what I can carry." I'll definitely stop by again soon! read more

Very Happy with the new owners, I was a customer for many years when it was Semrau's sadly the last few years it was showing a lack of care and was generally run down. Now it is well organized and well run with a hands on owner. It's also clean. Their stock is healthy and priced reasonably. Drew's will save me the long drive to Ray Weigands. Unfortunately this place is under new ownership and it really shows and not in a good way. The prices are much higher than they used to be when it was owned by a local family. Now it's Drew's and owned by a big corporation. As far as the employees are concerned they are either not to be found or they are extremely rude and completely unhelpful. Shrubs and trees I understand no longer have any guarantees or at least that's what I've been told. I used to be a regular customer but the several times I've gone there the feel of this place is just not right and the rudeness of the employees is just too much. I can't in all honesty recommend this place to anyone. There are too many other places in the area which have much better customer service better selection and stand behind their products, not to mention a great deal cheaper. It's a shame because I used to shop there all the time and I had lots of good memories going there but nothing lasts forever! Avoid this place you won't regret it. read more

Higher prices from Semrau last year. Horrible non existent perennial section. I found 5 or 10 small perennials, and maybe 10 of the larger size. Employees could not find parsley,- so they went thru each perennial to check name tag. So when I found it in veggie section I had to advise them parsley wouldn't b found with perennial flowers. read more

High prices with limited selection. They do not warrant any of the trees/evergreens so you are stuck with a dead plant if it dies during the first year. Better to purchase at one of the bigger garden centers, Lowe's, Home Depot and the like who back their merchandise for at least one year. I've read glowing reviews of sales help but I have yet to be approached by any sales personnel nor could I find any. Yes, they have beautiful planters and annuals but you pay a premium price for a lesser quantity. The outdoor sales area is beautiful but I am not willing to pay for their store displays. read more

My favorite place to purchase beautiful healthy flowers and herbs. The hanging planters are outstanding in colors, textures and fullness. I love the small country nursery in the city feeling that this business gives off. read more
