I have been a patient of Dr. Julia Greenspan for nearly two years. Prior to seeing her I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease by my pcp after discovering a bulls eye on the back of my knee. A simple Western Blot came back positive. The problem was how I was treated for Lyme. It seems that "traditional medicine" thinks two weeks on antibiotics will cure Lyme but sadly that is not always the case. I continued to have a myriad of strange symptoms that no doctor or "specialist" was able to treat properly from excruciating muscular pain in my hips and back to signs of early menopause. In that time I know I was once again bitten by a tick and was put on two more weeks of antibiotics. Frustrated, I went to see Dr. Greenspan who after giving me a CD57 test was able to determine that I still had Lyme despite being "treated". Probably in a wheel chair crippled with muscular and spinal pain and unable to work. She is on top of the latest research and treatments and has such compassion for her patients. I also want to add that she is treating my two young boys for Lyme. Oh yeah, the pediatrician said they didn't have it after getting back a false negative from the ELISA - well guess what? I had a bull's eye rash mid July 2025 for which I received 14 days of antibiotics and by mid September, I had developed severe L5/S1 nerve inflammation with peripheral neuropathy, foot drop and could barely walk. This took me down a path that was leading me toward lumbar surgery which I was hesitant so follow so I started PT and then a friend suggested I reach out to Dr. Greenspan to investigate whether the Lyme Disease might have triggered this catatrophic health event. I have been a patient of Dr. Greenspan for 9 months. I was diagnosed by my PCP with Lyme prior to seeing her, and given 3 weeks of antibiotics. However, after 3 weeks, I knew I was still not at all well. I was still running fevers every afternoon, had continued joint pain, concentration issues, and heart palpitations. Dr. Greenspan reviewed my symptoms, ordered labs, and then placed me on a much longer term antibiotic regimen. Now, 9 months later, I am continuing to improve, although progress tends to be slow. During treatment, there are often times when strange symptoms have flared that are very concerning. This doctor is dangerous and is fixated on Lyme's disease. She put me on a medication that affected liver levels and psoriasis. The anti-biotics she used was a rare class not utilized a lot due to a high risk of intense side effects. My PCP demanded her to stop taking these medications immediately in fear of my health.
