I had consulted with numerous doctors and specialists who, after many office visits and tests, provided temporary symptomatic relief but gave no answers or explanation for why I was having so many problems. I had been taking Prilosec (omeprazole) for several years for my issues with indigestion. One of the first things Dr. Rivard addressed was the vitamin deficiencies I was experiencing due to long term use of that medication. As I suspected, many of these health issues were related and nutrition deficiencies were to blame. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it.
