Went to greenlawn service on janurary6 2025 to get brake pads front and back.A week later heard a noise from the brakes they made a correction A week later while driving on Fort Salonga Road the left rear wheel came off thank God I was not in a accident. I was towed back to that shop and 2 days later when I went to pick up the auto I was charged an additional 337.86 for lugs and studs..I also had to buy a new rim from a tire shop for 108.00.Afterward the tire could not tightened all the lugs because they were used and damaged. I WENT TO A Parts shop showed some of the lugs and got new ones and put them on myself.I only moved here 4 months ago and thought this was a reliable shop My Mistake. read more

Stopped going here years ago. Pros: they can usually squeeze you in, in a pinch. Personable staff. Their work seems fine. Cons: no matter your "rapport" as a repeat customer or neighbor, they will kindly gouge you or your loved one for items that you don't really need or could do yourself. Antics I expect from Jiffy Lube, not an independent shop that's been in the community for years. If you do go here, try to know what you actually need and guard your wallet. read more

First time went there was over 5 yrs ago when I had them do our inspection. They failed me for windshield wipers! Wanted to charge me $60 for new wipers! Went to local auto,parts got them for $23, walked over with my little kids and installed myself, but what a hassle! Took all day for something simple! I'm not sure if they just wanted to give me a hard time or what! Tried to give them another shot a year ago, when I called and asked if he could do wheel bearings for a mercedes ML350, he said, I'll try!.....I'll try? I could try! Still the place i bring my car to... my daughters car and even my moms car now. I had a S430 Mercedes that Tom and Shawn serviced until I sold it at over 101,000 miles, then I bought a 2014 Hyundai Equus to him- since day one the team known as Tom and Shawn have always treated me fairly and honestly. For my S430 it was oil changes, filters, breaks, engine mounts, air suspension air bags, complete control arms upper lower front rear, etc all over a five year period, and always affordable compared to other places or quotes. I now just need oil changes on my Equus but as it gets older- I plan on taking it here to Greenlawn service. My wife brings her Toyota Highlander here, my daughter brings here Mini Cooper, and now my mom for two years has been bringing her Lexus here. He convinced her to pay over $1600 for all 4 corners of brakes; Greenlawn Automotive replaced them 7,400 miles ago!!!! You scammer Tom!! An update on my recent review. I brought the car back the very next day and Shawn made good on his promise to swap the tires out for the Pirelli models and the work was done within a few hours. Additionally, he followed up with me by phone a few days later and is sending some oil change coupons and the cost difference for the alignment. Being in the service business I understand that things don't always go perfectly, but I could not have asked for anything else in the way the situation was handled and resolved after the fact. My family has been going to Tom for 16 years ever since we moved here from New England, for our Toyota and Chrysler/Dodge vans. Not once have we felt let down or misled. We learned about Tom from our favorite tire shop, All Weather Tires (Huntington Station) -- we asked for a recommendation for brake work. I figured that if a top-notch place like All-Weather Tires recommends Tom for brake repairs, I should check it out. They were right. One of the nice things about leaving the area with our family's many cars was getting away from the most dishonest, unethical auto repair outfit I've ever encountered. You watch, pretty soon he'll move over his Yelp presence to Greenlawn Service, unclaimed so he can drop the negative Yelp reviews at this "Auto Center" URL. I see Tom Clark or is it Clarke is probably doing "one shot wonders" on google reviews, they're all glowing and that's all they've done, one time. This clown's routine, for YEARS, is that more work is always needed. I've watched him fleece the elderly, students, you name it. Let's hope he has no business to sell when he retires.
