I have been a customer of Greenlin since 2010. I started at the Eppley location and then moved to the old Lambs Gap location before it was rebuilt. I have always been happy with them until recently when I went to bring my dog to daycare and was told I needed to pay $300 for a 5 Day Daycare Induction Program for a dog that had been going to the daycare for years and even went through their training program - just because I havent been there in a year. Three dogs and 15 years later Im afraid I will have to try someone else. read more

Our puppy Sugar had the best time here while we were away for vacation. We were hesitant since it was our first time leaving her with people besides family. My family was extremely disappointed by Greenlin (Lambs Gap location) today. After more than 2 years of bringing our two dogs (German Shepard mix) to their daycare facility and several kennel stays one of our dogs was kicked out. Why was the dog kicked out - you might ask? She jumped a 4ft fence to get to our other dog (her big brother). This was the first and only time she did this and the staff knew how close our two dogs and how she looked to her brother for confidence (she had been abused prior to us adopting her). I asked if given the reasoning if there could be a secondary review and was denied as this is the policy. Our puppies our very well trained and sweet but they do not know policies and their staff clearly doesn't understand dog behavior. We do not recommend this location or any other Greenlin resort to any dog owner! read more

Based on a recommendation from a neighbor- we had our dog boarded here for about a week. Everything seemed great- got photos of her, she swam but did not play with other dogs (based on what they told us). But when we got our dog back she was sick and ended up getting diagnosed with colitis and kennel cough. Vet said it was from boarding. Multiple other people reviewing Greenlin have said the same about their dog getting kennel cough. We would not suggest this boarder- very expensive and clearly not very clean. read more

I wasn't going to write a review but after I saw another person share they left with kennel cough I just had to. We boarded our dog here for 3 days in May of 2019. He left with kennel cough and a 400 vet bill. When we were at the vet they said that they had 3 dogs that week came in from Greenlin west with kennel cough. I called Greenlin and all they said was sorry and hung up. The fact that a previous reviewer experienced the same thing less than 5 days ago and that when they called Greenlin said they'd never had this issue is and outright lie. When we checked in the girl barely looked at our paperwork (vaccinations, etc) before admitting our dog. No wonder they have issues. Terrible boarder. I didn't even book with them. Only called because the boarding facilities in Carlisle are booked for thanksgiving. These people have bad reviews and a bad reputation. They're 3x the daily price of Carlisle facilities (that have 5 stars) and STILL will only give my dog 15 minutes of playtime per day UNLESS you pay ANOTHER $65 ON TOP of the $40 a day rate. THEN they want a $49.95 EVALUATION DAY to see if their staff wants to even take my dog prior. Like you've got to be joking. This is the second time I've contacted them in 6 months and last time I remember they were extremely rude and 6 months later nothing has changed at all. Inconvenient, super expensive (1 day rate is like the same as 1/2 a week in Carlilse!) , rude and unprofessional. Apparently they're all over the news too for letting a dog escape and getting killed. Hard pass on these people forever. read more

Our dog Teddy has been going to Greenlin since he was a puo. Teddy's now 12. He gets so excited when we gather his bedding and bag because he knows where he's going. Once he's there he never looks back. He has medication needs which are always taken care of by the staff. We are very grateful to the staff. We wouldn't go any place else. read more

We have been taking our 2-1/2 year old pup to Greenlin for almost two years, both for daycare and boarding. It is often bitter sweet when we arrive to pick him up - just as the toddler he is - he often isn't ready to come home. He just has so much fun! My dogs have been going to Doggie Daycare for about 5 years and I have boarded them there as well. The staff is wonderful, my dogs love them. I train and show my dogs and they attend daycare 3 days/week. I love that they know my dogs so well and the pictures they take are amazing, you can see what they do there everyday. One of my favorite things was they had Santa come and took pictures of the puppies with Santa-it was wonderful. My dogs have never come home with kennel cough or any other kind of injury in all the time I have been taking them to the Mechanicsburg facility. read more

I was excited to get my Rain who was in need of group play into this daycare that I had heard so much about. Upon arrival on evaluation day I was given a put off feeling from the person at the desk. The more questions I asked the more defensive they got. My simple questions "When she did not pass, will they work to integrate her into the pack?" "what kind of dog was she evaluated with?" "who was the two managers that did the evaluation?" They could not answer these questions. When I brought up that I was taking her to my trainer who is a certified dog behaviorist and she was going to evaluate Rain to see if she could help me get her to the point that she would be able to go in with the other dogs. They got super defensive with me. I then got a call from Katie the General Manager of the center, she wanted the name of my trainer. I told them she was certified and one of the best in the area. At this point the GM was gracious enough to tell me that Rain would NEVER be in a group play setting and they would not even re-evaluate her for AT LEAST a year. Real fair !! My parents have brought our family dogs to Greenlin West for the last 10 years and have had nothing but wonderful experiences! My fiancé and I decided that we wanted to start bringing our rescue puppy there to give our other dog a break from her craziness, she absolutely LOVES going to camp! :) the staff was very understanding about her being a shy rescue at first and were very patient with her and now she is definitely becoming more confident. Greenlin Mechanicsburg is a dirty, overpriced dog kennel. We paid $60/night to house two small dogs in the Petite Suite. Both of our dogs contracted kennel cough on a recent stay there. We called within two days to discuss with management and we were told they have never had any complaints relating to kennel cough and that it was most likely allergies. Our dogs do not have allergies. We immediately took our dog to our vet (Good Hope Animal Hospital) and kennel cough was confirmed. the vet stated she treats almost a dog daily with kennel cough which recently stayed at Greenlin. There is obviously an issue with how this kennel does not appropriately clean and disinfect its cages and flooring to prevent the spread of the Bordettella bacteria which causes kennel cough. Avoid this dirty overpriced kennel. read more

Thank you to Nikki and all the pet-friendly team for an awesome first-time kennel experience! While I did not favor the pool, the playground rocked. And, mommy tells me that when I return next month that you will read me a bed time story...wow! Mommy also thanks you because none of my Rainbow brothers ever had a positive kennel experience, and I told her that was because she did not send them to Greenlin Pet Resorts. Mommy was so nervous dropping me off, but now she has calmed down (many hours of letting her pet and cuddle me on the sofa helps with that too). The free evaluation day for my Corgi went well but my overall customer experience was a horrible one. I found out about Greenlin Pet Resorts through an acquaintance and employee named Sydney Knode. Upon picking up my pet to take her home I noticed she was very thirsty so I asked her about it. She cursed at me, threatened me and told me to never come back. She also gave out my personal contact info to her mother who attempted to call me and threatened to send people to my home via text. I also know for a fact she is constantly under the influence of marijuana. I would not advise anyone to leave their pet in her care and the Resort has refused to respond to my emails. I'm only left to assume no appropriate action has been taken against the employee which is wrong and a shame. read more

I decided to take my eight-month-old pup here for boarding after the recommendation of a friend. The first couple times my dog stayed there he only stayed for maybe one or two nights at a time, and seemed to be fine. But when my husband and I went away for 7 Days on vacation our dog came back with two medium-sized scratches on both sides of his belly. When we picked him up the staff neglected to say anything about the scratches. It would have been better to say that our dog got a little bit too playful with some of the more feisty dogs and got a couple scratches- but we were left to assume that they just did not keep a close enough eye on him. If I could give this place 0 stars I would! we sent our 2 puppies here and just received a call that they were no longer welcome ever again due to a safety concern of one of them jumping. on a different occasion we were told that she was trying to jump the fence and would no longer be allowed outside during play time and we were completely fine with that and still willing to pay the money. and then today we received a call that she was no longer allowed back ever again. The customer service was terrible and even if we were allowed back we would NEVER take them here again. This place is terrible and the people who work there are so incredibly rude. read more

We used to have such a wonderful experience with Greenlin but this year has not been the same. Multiple disappointing events (dogs being fed the wrong food, boarded in 2 runs instead of 1, our puppy coming home after 10 days of boarding so skinny we could see his ribs, spine & pelvis without any calls of concern, & finally releasing our dogs into the waiting room without leases & handing the lease over telling us to leash them). It makes me sad to f el so disappointed after being so happy. read more

Can't say enough wonderful things about this place. We board our pup here a few times a year, but they remember him like one of their own every time. He comes home happy, and we love the text updates we get with pictures of him having fun. No anxiety issues here - we've never brought him home with a ripped up bed smelling like urine. I've used greenlin to kennel both my golden doodles,Montyand Jack for the last two years. John, Lynn Katy, Deb , all the staff I've dealt with have been friendly, efficient and professional. The kennel itself is immaculate. There is any odor of dog or cat urine or poop. The kennel offers a good assortment of entertainment for my dogs. If I could give 0 stars I would. I called a few days ago to make a reservation for our puppy. We are new clients and wanted a safe, friendly, and clean place for our Cairn Terrier. They asked me if he was an "escape artist or digger" and I responded that our dog is completely fine, but as a Cairn Terrier he is prone to digging if left unattended for a long period of time. The woman I spoke to was very nice and offered a free day of doggie daycare to get to know him. Today I received a phone call from the West location manager telling me that our dog was not welcome at their facility due to "safety concerns" and to take my business elsewhere. I was so shocked by her rudeness and not even being willing to meet our puppy and see that he is a completely normal dog who is NOT an escape artist or destructive digger! So, I will be taking my business elsewhere and telling all my friends with dogs to do the same. read more

I don't typically write reviews...but I created an account just to give the well deserved praise that Greelin Pet Resort - West deserves. We board our (rather large) puppy here every time that we are in the Mechanicsburg/Harrisburg area. Every single time we pull up now, Hoss (our puppy) is overly excited for his stay. They take daily pictures to give you updates; and they cater to whatever needs your dog may have. The staff is super helpful and the facility is really nice as well. I HIGHLY recommend Greenlin if you want your doggo to leave happy and be very well taken care of! read more

I first started using Greenlin when they only had the Middletown location. I was happy when they opened the first Mechanicsburg location, because I was working in Mechanicsburg at the time, and could take my dog to day care. One day after work I got a call that my dog "rubbed up against a fence and was bleeding a little bit" but they think he's fine. I asked when it happened and found out it had happened hours before and they waited that long to call me. Upon examination the injuries were worse than what was described- he had deep puncture wounds on his back that looked like bite wounds. I immediately took him to the vet who confirmed they were bite wounds and they took my dog into emergency surgery to suture the wounds. I relayed this information to the owner, Doug, who agreed to reimburse me for the vet bills. When I went to pick up the check he wanted me to sign a release of liability for future events should I wish to continue boarding my dog there. I declined and never took my dog back. I'm not sure when that facility first opened but this was around 2008 or 2009. read more

This pet resort had us very concerned when we arrived for a tour and the staff member had lost control of at least 4 dogs who ran into the reception area and had they come through just minutes earlier when we opened the door to the outside to come in, they could have easily kept going right outside into the street. We asked if our dogs would be allowed to play just one on one with a person or just with each other while boarding simply because we do not want our dog playing with other dogs that we don't know. The staff said it is a requirement to have all dogs play together. Seems to me that since they have trouble controlling too many dogs playing together....so much so that they compromised the safety of the dogs that were there..perhaps they should do what other resorts do and give the option of dogs not playing together. read more
