Terrible Terrible Terrible! Purchased a tree from Greenpoint Trees through a Gilt City offer. The delivery never showed up between the 5 hour window they provided even after I made multiple calls to the owner to check on the status. The driver called me 3 hours later stating he was doing the owner a favor and it's not really his problem. No one has called me to reschedule after 2 weeks. I can't believe Gilt does business with a company like this. This was my first and last transaction with them as well. read more

Completely my fault for not reading the Yelp reviews prior to buying our Gilt offer because these guys were TERRIBLE! I bought the offer to get our tree for our company holiday party. At first I was hopeful as they let me know that I needed an earlier date of delivery than the one I had chosen in order for the tree to be ready for decorations. I let them know it was for our company holiday party so we needed it before 6pm. I received an email at 5:25pm on Wednesday that the driver would be in touch with me soon to drop it off...I ended up waiting at the office until 8:30 before giving up and going home. The driver eventually called me at 9:45pm to let me know he'd be there in 20 min, well our business is closed, so I asked the delivery to be moved to Thursday. Thursday was pretty much the same deal, I called and emailed numerous times trying to get a delivery window so I could ensure someone from my team was here to receive. The only answer I received was an email that said it should be here before 6. I finally got someone to answer the phone at 6pm who informed me that they were technically closed, that someone had been in contact with me all day and had given me a window (both completely untrue) and that she was on her way out of the office and that someone would be in touch. It's now Friday AM and there has been no call about delivery or anything. Working on getting a refund from Gilt, would not suggest ordering from them ever, ever again. I got my tree from them 2 years ago and it was gorgeous it lasted from the beginning of dec thru the beginning of January. The woman on the phone however is rude and unprofessional. I called this morning to place my order and was told if I didn't recieve an email by 7 or 8 to call back. Well I called back around 7:40 and was yelled at because they don't send the invoices till 9 and it was the same woman who I spoke to this morning. DO NOT ORDER YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE FROM THIS COMPANY. I was suppsoed to have my tree delivered after 8pm on a weeknight (as I work full time) and the tree was never delivered and they never called me to say that it wouldn't be. I tried calling them, was not able to get through, so after emailing them repeatedly, I was told that my tree will be delivered the next day. They refused to give me a discount for the trouble they have caused and they have been completely rude in the process. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I would rather have purchased a fake tree than have had to deal with these rude people. Delivery is really inconsiderate. They can't do less than a 6-hour window and even then they were late. I received a call (after I called) 15 min prior to the expiry of the 6 hour window. No apologies - just a we're running late, don't know when we'll get there. read more

We have been waiting for our tree for two weeks. The first time we scheduled we were given a date but Greenpoint Trees had the wrong date and never showed. We rescheduled and the driver called to push back the time to 11 pm then at 11 pm he called to push it back to midnight??? This is ridiculous. We discussed he would bring it in the morning, which he DID NOT. Now he promised to bring it tomorrow. I am extremely disappointed in your service. read more

I've used Greenpoint trees the past two years and have gotten a beautiful tree both times. The same, nice people operate the company. Scheduling/coordinating the delivery hasn't been perfectly seamless but I will still use them again next year. They bring a gorgeous tree to your apt, set it up with a smile, and at a reasonable cost. read more

Can I give 0 star on my review please? It is a disaster to order from this crappy no reputation provider. We got a deal from Gilt city and sent email to their customer service right away. (it is just a non business gmail account) They replied pretty fast and I thought all the reviews about this place was just not true and apparently I was wrong. After 3 emails, the delivery date was set on Monday but no time frame was given. So we waited and waited. It is 2:30pm in the afternoon and no phone calls from the driver was received. I made couple phone calls and no one answered. After about 5 phone calls and 10 unreplied emails, I finally got hold of a man on the phone. He apparently was yelling at his kids and asking them to go away. (what kind of business is this?????) Then told me just be patient and we are the next house to be delivered. It was 4pm so we waited waited. No one ever showed up on that day. At 9:30pm, there is a mysterious phone call coming but no one was talking on the other side. We finally realized that they will not be coming. They are just wasting people's time. It has been two days after their no show up, I still did not receive any phone calls from them to apologize or reschedule the delivery. I am sure Gilt is just fooled and this company is surely a fraud. I will not order from them and definitely do not recommend anyone to be fooled again. read more

We were supposed to be repeat customers this year but the company is challenging to work with. The prices are reasonable, but the delivery schedule last year was difficult to work with. This year, they have switched to a payment system on google checkout but for whatever reason have been unable to bill us and have canceled our order again and again. We're busy people and feel having a Christmas tree should be fun and enjoyable not nearly so painful. read more
