Lovet O.

The "go-to" place for everything Christmas. Located on Willow Ave (between 5th and 6th sts) the Tree Barn sells real and affordable Christmas trees. Also the best type of trees. They've been in business for nearly 20 years and when it comes to Christmas trees, you will probably not find another merchant who's just as knowledgeable. The Tree Barn also sells real wreaths, ornaments, tree stands, garland, tree bags, etc. They are located at the old All Saints church on 528 Willow Ave. Big property, therefore lots of inventory. Their prices are very reasonable and they deliver too. Check them out!!! P.S.- Tell them I sent ya! ;-)

My 700th review!…read more I've always noticed this garden center near the exit of the Holland Tunnel. When I was hunting for garden centers in the area, this came up with great reviews and I decided to check it out. It was definitely better than expected. They had a really nice selection of both indoor and outdoor plants. I came looking specifically for hydrangeas, and they probably had 10 to 15 varieties available - some needing full sun and some needing partial. The gentleman that was working there was very friendly. I wanted two plants that looked similar to sit side-by-side by my front door. He helped me choose the variety, and two plants that looked the most similar. We ended up deciding on the candy apple variety by Monrovia. It needs full sun and should bloom through summer with blooms that will last till October. Once I paid, they carried the plants out to the car for me, laid plastic in my car and packed everything for me. I thought this was really a nice service. This is definitely more expensive than Home Depot, but they carry much nicer product with wider variety and better service. Especially if you're just looking for a couple plants, I would definitely come here instead. I asked about some fall perennial plants, and he recommended I come back after Halloween to check out what they'll have in season for winter. I will definitely be back.

As a plant lover living in nyc where not all my rooms have sunlight, I appreciate this. It makes it so much easier to plan in my head which plant will best fit in each room. This shop sells plants uncommon to most plant shops in the city such as the Hoya Hindu Rope and Peperomia plant. The staff is extremely knowledgeable on all the plant for sale and will give detailed instruction on how much sunlight and water is needed in order for it to thrive. Plus, if you buy a pot in shop, they will gladly pot it for you so you can leave ready to show it off. If you're in the neighborhood, I definitely recommend stopping by for a new plant baby.

I went and bought about 10 plants for my new apartment and they're thriving! Truly great quality. They were also extremely helpful in advising me on which plants I should get and also helped open my horizons to more exotic plants I'd never considered. Going back soon to get a couple larger plants and couldn't be more excited!

I've stopped in a bunch of times just to browse if I am nearby and don't always walk out with something, but I love just seeing what is new in the shop. I have gotten a really cute little rubber tree as a gift for a neighbor, a bottle of neem oil to help a pest problem I've been having and a few other small plants I just couldn't leave behind. The staff are always so friendly and there to answer questions, even if it's about a problem plant I have at home. I love love love that they usually have a little rehab plant section for a big chunk off. I thinkkkk I have a good green thumb so I will always be down to bring a new little green leafy friend home and try to bring him back, especially if that means getting a good deal on it. Highly recommend if you just love checking out new plant shops, or if you are in the area and are looking for fresh flowers. And they are pup friendly! My dog is usually just as eager to stop in as I am because he knows he'll get a warm welcome and maybe a treat.
