After eating in as many restaurants as I have finger and toes here in Scotland, and not writing nary a review of any of them, there comes along this gem of a place that makes me sit down and do this deed!
Greens Market here in the Highlands of Northern Scotland just killed us at dinner last night. I mean it was as good as any 5 Star restaurant we have at home (L.A., S.F., NYC). Each thing on there menu read like any gourmet place where jackets are required. Yet here I was in golf clothes and loving it.
Located in the city of Tain, I had duck spring rolls with a husan sauce as a starter and a crab linguine as a main course that was delicious. The others in my party had halibut and beef cheeks; all of which was fantastic. A bottle of red and white wine, this dinner goes in my memory book! read more
