Well, they have certainly done this place up quite a bit, and modernised it as well. In a way, this place does feel a lot safe, and I note that it is also staffed as well, which is something that I miss in other places.

This is another one of those major terminus stations, and there was a time when the Geelong Train…read morewould pass through here, but ever since the bypass was opened, that no longer happens. Look, the station certainly needs quite a bit of a makeover, but the trains do leave here relatively regularly, and there is a decent bus interchange as well. Oh, and the station is also fully staffed, and also has facilities, despite the fact that they probably need a bit of a makeover as well.

Actually, this is a pretty major railway station, with lots and lots of trains stopping and passing through. In fact you really don't need to wait all that long for a train to come, though the multiple platforms do suggest that you need to be aware of where the next train to the city is going to stop. They have also significantly upgraded the place to make it much more accessible, but have retained the older buildings as well, which is a huge bonus in my mind.

The station that reminds me most of the London underground…read morebut a bit more sleek and modern, the longest of treks, and the station that has the weirdest exit and entry points in all of Australia. Not to mention the 75 degree gradient (I think) escalators. But yes its both bland and utilitarian as Dominic C mentions. It could also serve as a set to a science fiction movie. It's a strange place here.

While it isn't a major station, the old style wooden buildings, and the walkway, are quite lovely. Mind you, disability access is a little lacking, particularly when it comes to the pedestrian bridge.

Honestly, I should be giving this place a lower rating than I have, basically due to governments…read moretrying to do things on the cheap. This is basically a major interchange station. Well, sort of since the lines only branch off in two directions. However, they will be bypassing this station for the new metro, which really annoys me, considering that this is a pretty major station. However, there isn't all that much around here anyway so I guess I can forgive them for that.

I would say that this station is much like the station at Toorak, but in reality it is exactly the…read moresame - well almost exactly because the name on the station sign does happen to be different, but you sort of do get that. However, like the Toorak station, this one is quite nice, though the lack of rest rooms is somewhat disappointing. However, it is still a nice station, and at least the trains stop here as well, which is pretty cool.

It is quite close to the shops, which is also a pretty good thing, and the trains are also reasonably frequent, and some of them are express as well, which I certainly do appreciate. Sure, it might not be one of my favourite suburbs in Melbourne, but the station does have some charm, and there is also a bus interchange as well, which also helps.
