This isn't the first time I've ordered SOD from this company but it is certainly the last. I…read moreordered 6 pallets for a SOD job. All I did was brag to my client regarding how great their SOD is prior to it being delivered. We waited THREE weeks for this SOD just for it to be some of the poorest quality SOD I had ever seen. The majority is torn, brown and yellow. ALL of it was dried out. SOD we laid Thursday was brown the very my next day. We begin laying pallet number three my customer came out and looked and said he was disappointed in the quality and so was I. I could not believe they inspected this and cut it anyway knowing it was no good. It will take weeks and possibly over a month to get this in shape and that is if it ever gets in shape. I was told by Scott that where they cut my "premium price" SOD from has no irrigation system. It hadn't been watered and hadn't rained in three days or more. Why would you sell this??? Why would you place a landscaper in a position like this?? I only offer my customers the best and this was below subpar. The more we laid, the more we discovered issues. We have had to patch and repair this entire lawn. Just about every piece has a section that's missing and we have a half of pallet and counting worth of SOD that is in such bad shape we don't know if we will be able to lay it. UPDATE: I spoke with Scott again today (Monday) and he blamed me for the quality of SOD. Asked me why I didn't attempt to lay the brown SOD. I told him my customer can verify when we begin to lay the SOD and the condition of it. He said he didn't care what my customer had to say. He then made this remark "it's not like you're going to sue me or anything" and hung up the phone. I have pictures and have contacted the BBB with them, I have also contacted the NC Agriculture Department and the person who manages SOD farms locally. Upon contacting them he told me that Home County doesn't have their own inspector and they usually inspect for bugs and disease but they wanted to know if he was selling bad SOD as he shouldn't be doing so. We will follow through with each complaint and post on several sites regarding his integrity, quality of product as well as his attitude.

I definitely expected his work to be more professional and detailed and it was not. During the project his workers told him that they weren't able to dig in my yard because it was full of clay which was a lie. I planted the flower beds where they were and that's some of the softest and most fertile ground in my yard. The truth is I was here every day they worked, they took numerous breaks as it was extremely hot those days. They went and got drinks, was wetting themselves down and set a lot more on those days than they worked. Instead of lying to their boss they should have been honest. When I went to explain the facts of what happened as I was here, he went on to tell me that I was only here for one of the three days which was yet another lie. One of my plants was ran over in this whole ordeal, wires in the back were cut etc. due to the lies I really began to question their story telling me the wires were cut by the plumbers. Nothing was said about my tree and the job was not clean, neat, nor detailed. I am very disappointed in what I have seen and received. Mr. Boling got very disrespectful when I went to voice my concerns and my daughter over heard him saying it would look "stupid" to build up those areas the way we originally discussed them to be built up. He went on to send very disrespectful text messages. I was truly surprised as I feel as though we were ripped completely off by him and I was expecting this experience to be great and it was far from being anything close to that.
