From an early check-in request to accommodations for my furry companion, Tamika (Front desk) was an absolute pleasure by phone and upon arrival. The reviews had me a little nervous about staying here but then I saw a Yelp friend stayed here so decided it give it a go when I added an extra night to my trip. As a Marriott Platinum member I also thought I'd get some perks which I did. Ben checked me in and was so very welcoming and did his best to give me an idea of where I could dine if I decided not to use my meal credit at Artisan. I was given an overview of the hotel layout as well. I never did find the workout room. Then I was told there would be hors d'oeuvres in the concierge lounge at 5:30pm and later desserts at 7:30pm. Then breakfast the next morning. The room was older but clean for the most part. I did find the roaches so the hotel might need better pest control. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The clock wasn't working as it was unplugged. I did plug it back in but couldn't figure out how to set it. The parking lot was a good size and well lit. Overall it was a good stay here at a reasonable price. read more

I stayed at the Greenville Marriott for a weekend conference in Spring 2022. It's perfect for hosting or attending a conference or for business travel. Our group reserved a block of rooms for a very reasonable price, and the hotel staff took care of all of our needs during the conference. Even though our stay was only two nights, our rooms were cleaned, and coming "home" to a freshly made bed and fluffy new towels was impressive. All toiletries we needed were provided and definitely a step above the quality that other hotel chains provide. The free coffee in the morning and fruit-infused water in the afternoon were wonderful, and the Marriott Bonvoy complimentary internet worked well for our conference and for the entire stay. No WIFI issues is a win! This location is convenient to I-85, downtown, and tons of restaurants. Walgreens is within walking distance if you forget something or need snacks. We hung out at the outdoor pool area in the evenings and had a blast- the hotel was fine with us hanging out in the chairs and under the bar after hours, as long as we stayed out of the pool itself. The only reason I didn't give four stars is because the room walls are paper thin. When trying to nap one afternoon, I could hear and make out a conversation outside. I would gladly stay here again but use a white noise machine to drown out the sounds. read more

The customer service was excellent! As a crew member, and first time to this location, I had many questions about their policies. Alisha (?) front desk at 6p 6/29/24 was so kind and patient with me. If she didn't know she found out! She worked hard to make me happy! And Warren, our driver, was great! Too! Offering suggestions for dining and letting us know if the van availability. First time in Greenville, SC. Found a good rate on Hotels.com with the Greenville Marriott and I booked them. Not bad. It's too bad that I didn't take advantage of the amenities while staying at the Greenville Marriott, namely the pool. Although I did partake in their breakfast buffet at their Artisan restaurant and sleep in the room, that's all my experience here was on a one night stay. Still, staying at a Marriott branded location seemed like a step up from what I'm used to stay in, it's mostly based on price and budget factors. With that said, I booked a room that featured 2 queen beds. The check in process was fast and accurate, took about 1 minute to verify my reservation and to process the room key. The service was friendly and professional. Upon checking out, just dropped off the the room key and obtained my receipt and I was on my way out of Greenville. The hotel itself seemed luxurious at times, but I guess it seems that way when you book properties that aren't aesthetically pleasing but still gave you a quality night's sleep. Marriott seemed like an upgrade with the assurance of aesthetics and the quality of sleep combined. The hotel was impressive and immaculately cleaned, of course. I'm not sure what floor my room was, but it was nice and clean. Everything in the room worked to a tee, including when the room TV had my name on the welcome screen upon turning it on. Not sure if this is luxurious but it seemed that way to me. It's the little things, I suppose. The overall experience here at the Greenville Marriott here in Greenville SC was nice and quiet. Got in a full night's sleep to recharge after an all days worth of traveling and to adjust to the current time zone. The room itself was nice and beautiful at the same time. Room was definitely clean and in order. Even the shower was pretty awesome too. Lol While it was far from the perfect stay, it was generally an above average stay for sure. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to be able to fall asleep maybe 10-15 minutes after crawling underneath the covers. I believe I used the ice machine too, which wasn't too far from the room. I've come to lean on the ice machine as one of the ways to guarantee a good stay, amongst the overall criteria. Truth be told, If I used the ice machine on a stay, I tend to have to get up in the middle of the night. But it's worth it. For the most part though, the Marriott experience was nice and it was definitely one I would remember for a while. Thanks Marriott for keeping room rates low enough for the casual traveler, especially in these Covid times. If you are in the area, consider staying here at this Marriott in Greenville, SC. If you are a Marriott brand loyalist, you would enjoy what this hotel location can do for you, if you decide to stay at this location. Definitely would recommend it, if you are traveling to here or just passing thru. You'll love it, I'm sure of it. This Greenville Marriott is located at 1 Pkway E here in Greenville, SC. Most, if not all, reservations come electronically, which involves a major credit card. Not sure if they accept cash for reserving and/or payment for a room, but best bet would be to call in advance to see what the options are. As far as parking goes, this Marriott location has a generous amount of parking for its guests. As large of a space as Costco does, if my memory serves me correctly. It's generous for real. If you are like me, either getting dropped off, coming by rental car, or even Uber / Lyft, it's ideal for convenience. If you decide to come here via Amtrak and public transportation options, best bet would be to choose the route best for you and come on down. The staff at the Greenville Marriott would love to have you. While I wished I could have stayed more, it was a lovely time here and hope to come back here again, if future travels permit me to do so. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 4.5 stars for the room comfort and the ambiance. 4.5 stars for the service. 3.0 stars for the prices. My room had bed bugs, the fact there was no room service on Saturday or Sunday, also they have no airport shuttle service for 06:00a flights, their elevator broke down leaving stranded on the 5th floor, because a couldn't take the stairs due to my disability. Then being told that if I needed the Fire Department to come help me get down, I would need to call, because they aren't going to do so. read more

I want to thank the staff of the Greenville Marriott. During this crisis of the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, they have been spectacular. Many of their homes are still without power and have fallen trees, etc., yet they came to work with a smile on their faces and service in their hearts. My stay here has been wonderful. There is a gym which I used, an outdoor pool, a bar and a restaurant. The room was spacious with a mini-fridge. Plenty of parking. Great Hotel with even better service when I was first buying my camper in Greenville I would stay at the Westin if I had my Jeep because it would fit and I would stay at the Marriott if I had my Truck but then I just always ended up at the Marriott because they treated me so great, Then when I decided to buy a home here the Marriott became like my second home and they treated me like family. The front desk people always so friendly and accommodating they would always try and upgrade me with my bonvoy if available without even asking. The concierge level is great they serve free drinks snacks and a great breakfast in the morning all free if you have concierge level its well worth it. The rooms are a little dated but still very clean and nice. The restaurant and bar downstairs serves excellent food the Marriott Burger is to die for and really good sweet tea as well.. Its now my go to hotel if I need one but i live here so now I just go for the Burger and Tea. ;) read more

Hotel is definitely older. The rooms are outdated. We stayed in room 604, our mattress was hard AF And the fridge didn't work. No early check-in is available even though you check in early on the app. Go stay at one of the newer Marriotts. For a Saturday it was 264 for just a plain room. This is not a suite - Great lesson learned because next time will stay in downtown where there's so many more things to do. read more

Friendly staff, clean, and doesn't break the bank. Conveniently located near the I-85 with many dining options around the corner. Great for wedding parties, meetings, etc... I am more used to rate restaurants rather than hotels but I think it may help people if we keep ratings on YELP broad. Not the first time staying here and a typical Marriott standard. The hotel appears to be old but remodeled multiple times. The rooms are spacey just the bath tub was tiny. Everything looked clean every day. I haven't done in the restaurant and not ordered any food at the bar or to my room. Breakfast is difficult to judge dieting COVID as the offerings are limited. The bar did close early but the staff was very engaged. The house red Cabernet had a reasonable good quality. Check-I'm was simple, fast and convenient - same as checking out. Met and exceeded our expectations. We were met by three of the friendliest women on 9/2 @2100. (Would like for them to get a little recognition). They quickly and efficiently got us to our room. It was defeathered as requested. They acknowledged our titanium elite and gave us gifts and appropriate access. They have the concierge room opened again. You can get water and sodas 24/7. At 2100 they had cookies, fruits, chips, granola bars. They called this time of day "dessert" time. The rooms are clean and neat. NO mold to be found in the bathroom. And with this humidity, that's a big deal. Tasha was our bartender and she was phenomenal. Kitchen closes at 2200. Breakfast in the morning was buffet. You can get omelettes in addition to order. They have huge selection of bacon (cooked crispy and soft), sausage links, 4 types of fresh fruit sliced, selection of breads, biscuits and gravy, grits, potatoes, and lots more. read more

My 107 night at Marriott brand hotel in 2021. This Marriott is centrally located, easy off 85, with an outdoor pool. The bar and restaurant on-site are great. The staff were very professional. The pool is perfect, the outdoor area is well maintained, very clean, and the water clear. The breakfast buffet was a bit lacking, I suggest going out for breakfast and skipping the buffet. It was free, being I am Titanium, so we ate it. We will return when in the area. When you arrive, be sure to ask for an upgrade, they are quick to work one out and make you happy. read more

2.5 stars - it's time for better room renovations! ------------------ We were here for an event, had reasonably high hopes due to the stellar reputation of the Marriott brand. However, even though the lobby was newly updated, this property could benefit from major room renovations. See photos. 1. The room thermostat stayed at 68 degrees, even though the thermostat was adjusted up. Way up. 2. The hot water boiler took way too long to heat up. So, we were showering in cold water for a few minutes until it fired up. Not fun when the room is blowing cool air, and outdoor temperature was in the 30's. 3. The bathroom ceiling was VERY low, and the rims of the ceiling light were crooked. 4. The outlet literally came out when we unplugged our device. LOL - talk about a quick and dirty renovation job! 5. The flat screen TV in the elevator (no photos) looked upscale - until my friend accidentally pushed it off its mounting screws and almost had the whole thing fall off and break. I mean, really?!?! My worst review of a business ever! Oh my goodness, I would be embarrassed to call this hotel anything associated with Marriott. It smelled. The room was musty and the lobby was a plug in nightmare. The bed literally broke under my husbands weight, he sat down and you just heard springs collapsing. He is a normal sized man-no 600lb life here. We were only there for 5 hours or we would have walked out. Hey Marriott-may want to check this place-it is TERRIBLE. Only saving grace was hot coffee and cream in the lobby when we left for our early morning flight. And the staff was sort of nice. A lot nicer than this hotel. read more

We stayed here as part of the BMW Performance Delivery Center pick up. The hotel picked us up in an X5 and took us to lunch and the mall, the drivers were very accommodating. There is a lot to do in the area, restaurants, Top Golf, Go-Carts, etc. Dinner was exceptional, if I lived in the area I would skip local restaurant lines and eat at the hotel. The service and food was impeccable. Since BMW picked up the tab we had a prix fixe menu, salmon bisque (or salad), my son had filet mignon and I had the unicorn fish, chocolate cake and chocolate mousse cake, and 2 alcohol drink tickets. There was a breakfast buffet, but we skipped it, other guests said it did not disappoint. The staff was amazing from drivers, front desk attendants, and wait staff. Thank you for a great stay. Oops I forgot since I am a foodie...the rooms were updated, the TV had a welcome message with my name which was cool, the beds were comfy, and the room clean. read more

Staff is friendly and we got front parking so no complaints there. Inside of the hotel is beautiful. We were greeted immediately. We walked to our room and they said they were going to have someone drop off our stuff which was nice. We had an executive suite on the 6th floor. Room was beautiful and had a nice view. I walked into the bathroom and I noticed there was water all over the floor. My husband noticed that there was a leak from the toilet. We called immediately and they had someone come up to check it out as well as another person get our stuff and took us to the 7th floor. You have to use a special key to even get on the 7th floor so we did feel special. The room looked exactly the same with a nice view as well. Checkout process was a breeze. No issues there. We would definitely stay there again when we are in town. read more

I stayed here for an alumni convention. We'd been in planning with the hotel for about a year and the staff has been nothing, but kind. The space and location of the hotel is ideal for conferences. It is in direct access to Interstate 85 and Pelham Road which has lots of places to eat. The hotel is close to downtown about 10 - 15 minutes depending on the route you take. Again, I was there for a convention so a lot of time was spent in the conference/meeting rooms. I was not in the hotel room much, but the accommodations were nice. The cleaning staff was amazing. The bartenders were great and very knowledgable. The event staff was excellent. They provided great service throughout the weekend. We had a lil' hiccup with the fire alarm, but it wasn't anything major and the staff again handled the incident with such professionalism. There's plenty of parking. They have a fitness facility, spa, swimming pool and special rewards members suite on one of the floors. I just know because I was with a rewards member lol. Overall, great stay. I have to say when My Husband and I pulled up definitely Didn't look like a 4 star hotel. However as we entered the front doors it was definitely a 4 star on the inside. The lobby, restaurant, Bar areas was pretty. However the bar and restaurant staff were snooty and they charged me three different prices for my drink, which was the same. When I questioned the price in the 2nd drink I was given an attitude by the tender who stated "Well that's what the price was when I pressed the button." I ignored her statement signed the cc slip. The rooms were nice. Could a use some TLC. The beds are comfy. I woke up at 3 am to go outside and was questioned very rudely why I was awake. Really!? Staff isn't very friendly. I traveled to Greenville on business last week. I had stayed at this particular Marriott one other time and my experiences were very similar. The staff both times were super friendly and helpful. Both times I showed up way earlier than check-in time and both times they accommodated me with early check-in. Much appreciated! They do offer a shuttle service as well. Wifi is not included in the room rate unless you get a business rate. The hotel is older, but seems to be well maintained. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Water pressure was fantastic- that is a big deal for me - there were even two shower heads! Lots of pillows on the bed and it was comfortable. Location is about 15 minutes from downtown, but there are several restaurants in the near vicinity. Breakfast (not included in the room rate) is a buffet with waffle and omelet station. It was kept clean and well stocked. The breakfast they offered had a lot of variety and was fresh and tasty. They accommodated my requests for café mocha and latte rather than regular coffee. Bar service was very friendly. Selection of wine and beer was typical for a hotel. The seventh floor lounge for those lucky enough to be able to use, is quite nice. Comfortable seating, drinks to include wine and beer are offered at a price as well as some snacks on the house. The night I visited the snacks included fresh fruit. I know I will have the opportunity to travel back to Greenville and when I do, I plan to stay here again. read more

The Greenville Marriott is nice, but in need of a little TLC. It seems as though they've spent some money on the lobby area and the in-house restaurant, but the rooms are needing some updating. They are clean, as is the Marriott standard, but the furniture and decor are a bit tired. The bathrooms are a bit small, but the showers are excellent in function and pressure! Stayed here as a guest of BMW. The hotel is older and nicely updated. Nothing overly special, but pretty nice for a hotel near the airport in Greenville, SC. The service was top notch at every turn. As guests of BMW, we were picked up from the airport and the Bellman even drove us to Walmart when we needed a few things. The restaurant (which I reviewed separate), was also quite good. Totally renovated in 2006, the Greenville Marriott is quite nice on the inside with it's french inspired theme and yellow and green tones. Since I was here to pick up a new car at the nearby BMW performance center- they picked me up at the airport in a version of my car and whisked me over to the hotel. Know that if you are without wheels- your options in this area may be limited although the hotel will pretty much take you where ever you want to go. Needing a couple of items from Walgreen's that I forgot to pack- I attempted to walk across the street to obtain them but go with caution as there are no sidewalks in this neck of the woods. Cars rule! The hotel check in was friendly and efficient. I suspect since I was staying as a guest of BMW- they were rolling out the red carpet- corner room, bell service, free drink coupons, a tour of the hotel and a personal greeting and business card presentation from the bell man. It actually was nice to feel like a celebrity! Also included in my evening was dinner at Giatu which I will review in a separate review- but suffice to say- the hotel serves breakfast lunch and dinner in their lobby restaurant. The spa (yes they have one) indoor AND outdoor pool and gym have flexible hours but are quite nice looking. And located off the lobby "The Market" is stocked with snacks and sundries available for purchase. If you are platinum level at Marriott, their concierge level is nice with free snacks, sodas and water and other beverages available for a small fee. And the hostess manning the room is quite personable. The beds are comfortable, the rooms nicely outfitted and the bathrooms updated. And you have to check out the dual shower heads in the shower- tons of pressure and water! Definitely a functional hotel but it was the staff that really pushed it over the top for me. Everyone you meet is friendly and pleasant, welcoming you and seemingly happy that you are in their hotel. Was it me? Or was it BMW? Or is it just the Marriott way? I'll never know. Stayed here while attending the BMW Performance Center. The hotel staff was friendly, rooms were clean and shuttle service was fast. We ate at the hotel restaurant and were impressed. From start to finish it was a good experience. They are in the middle of a renovation, so I'm sure the hotel will only get nicer. read more

Preface for this review is that we're here with the BMW performance center so the room and food is comped by BMW. That being said this hotel hasn't been too bad. The rooms are clean and comfortable, they have flat screens and climate control per usual now. However they do seem to be a more out dated style than other hotels I've stayed in recently. Also, the hotel still charges for wifi which is absurd. I hate when hotels do that. The other annoying part of this hotel is we checked to see what movies were on demand and they're 18.00 each. I don't care what place you are a rental should never be that expensive, it's crazy. We ate dinner at the in hotel restaurant and it was good. Dinner for two was 67$ and we both got salads entrees and desserts because they're free to us. Everything was fresh and hot and tasted good but wasn't above and beyond. I got the chicken sandwich and it was just pickled onions lettuce tomato and chicken, no spices, no sauces, no fancy mayos, big potential missing there. The salads and dessert were good, but again nothing special, they live up to the three star rating this whole hotel has. All in all its a great time when you're here with BMW, not so much if I was paying to stay here, I don't even know how much the rooms cost. read more

Canceled my reservations from the weekend of July 25th at this hotel due to car troubles and was charged almost $400 after receiving my cancellation confirmations. We were given the run around by the front desk manager and corporate about the charges and still have not received our refund. They don't return calls and lie on their customers. Service was fast and everyone was polite. We liked all the amenities and since we were PCD BMW guest we really appreciated the complementary shuttle. All the drivers/bellhops were very friendly, approachable and informative on where to go what to do while down town. Location wasn't too far from the airport and they picked us up within 15-20min. The lobby was open, spacious and had plenty of seating and charging ports. Next to the lobby is their restaurant Artisan where you can have a bite. The pool outside was really beautiful but the next morning when I woke up I noticed a bunch of stuff wasn't cleaned up, so I don't think they monitor this area well. The rooms were a bit outdated but clean. One thing we didn't like was that we could hear everything through the walls and others prob heard us. I mean we heard the flush of the toilet in the room next to us as well as everything in the hall. We were so appreciative of the late checkout since our car wouldn't be ready till evening. When checking out, I asked the front desk girl Diwali if it was ok if we hung out in the lobby for about 2 hours and if we could still get shuttled to get out car. She didn't let me speak and assumed it was at the performance center and urged us to go there bc they had a bunch of stuff. My fiance and I felt a bit pushed away like we weren't welcome anymore. Well, it was Saturday and I know the performance center was non-operational that day and she wouldn't even let me finish so I just said we would be OK just waiting in the lobby. When our car was ready I went up to her and said could we get our shuttle to extreme she picked up the phone to call for a shuttle before I could even finish and said we needed to be dropped off at the PC, I said NO its extreme but she wouldn't listen. So once the shuttle picked us up I told him where and how she wasn't listening and he called her back to let her know b/c now the airport pickup would be delayed. He apologized on her behalf and said she was new, but from my observation of her behavior towards her coworkers and other staff, she was just not willing to listen to anyone and just do things her way. While in the lobby, on a 93 degree day she asked another coworker if they could turn on the heat or ask the manager to do so bc her leg was cold! She spoke to a maintenance lady as if she was her personal servant. We were glad it was our last day and moments at the hotel since the interaction with her was so unprofessional. Hopefully this is the only time this kind of thing happened.I'm not going to let this one end of trip experience bring down my whole review, I would return to stay again. read more

The lady at the desk told us 2 different prices which was ridiculous. Over the phone we asked what exit off of I85 South. She said she was new to the area and didn't know. Once we arrived there was no one visible, I said hello several times and she kept saying I'm over here. I finally asked her to please step out so I could see where she was. Then the price for Seniors and AAA was $40-50 higher from the quote she gave over the phone. She also said the quote was not the price but the exit. The lobby was dark and dreary. Disappointing! In need of a revamp... everything feels dated. Our beds were very loud... every time either one of us turned over, the beds made a loud crunching noise like they were wrapped in paper. The carpet is old, the chair is dirty but worst of all is the a/c. It worked but the room felt damp. We stayed here for two nights while my girlfriend was in town for work. Right from the time we entered the hotel the staff was very warm, friendly and welcoming. Check in was quick and pleasant. After settling in to our room we went down to the Artisan restaurant in the lobby and had a very enjoyable meal ( which I've reviewed elsewhere on Yelp ). The room was typical of most hotel rooms you've seen in any of your travels, but was quite pleasant and well-appointed. Clean and comfortable for our stay. Maid service was very courteous and efficient. While my girlfriend was at work both days I took advantage of the breakfast buffet, which was comped by her client. Here, again, the staff was very friendly and cheerful. The selection was pretty comprehensive, with eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage, oatmeal or any number of items you might want, including made-to-order omelettes ( which I didn't opt for ). Here the only thing I can find any fault with was that the food, while tasty, got cool very quickly once out of the chafing dishes. Coffee was plentiful and good. Overall I have to say this location is worth consideration if you're in town for any reason. It's close to the BMW plant and a short distance to downtown Greenville and it's really awesome vibe and destinations. I'd definitely come back. read more

WATCH OUT! They are very misleading about the "included" breakfast. It is for only one section of the breakfast buffet and you want to get hot food you will be charged. Other than that, this was a solid stay. Ample parking, clean large rooms, large windows, good bath products, empty refrigerator. The lobby area was very large and fancy-looking and there is a pool in the back! Had we stayed longer we would have checked that out. On Sundays they appear to host some kind of weird evangelical church thing. Available for complimentary breakfast are some cereal, milk cartons, fruit, and some small pastries/muffins. I do very much like that they pour your coffee and then plunk the coffee jug down on your table so you can refill efficiently without having to look for a waitress. I stayed here for one night in January 2018. Hotel was comfortable and the room was large. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The lobby is attractive with lots of seating. The building is older but has been upgraded. Hotel is within walking distance from several dining options (mostly casual and fast food). Also very close to 85 if you are using this as a stop on a road trip. read more

Here for business. Not to far from the airport, close to downtown.... Nice facilities, indoor AND outdoor pool. Spa services, room services... and for us Gold Members ( like me, yippee) you get access to the 7th floor lounge... which was very nice. Got in on a Sunday ( no beer/wine) on Sundays by the way... and was super tired, our crew met up there and the woman working was AWESOME and nice and great to talk to. There are a few snacks, beverages, and living area with a tv. Fitness Center, movies on demand, Room Service, WiFi ( you pay for it ), mini fridge.. you name it. All that you could want. Nice clean rooms... The only things stopping it from getting 5 stars : #1. Not enough space in the bathroom for all my 'stuff',,the vanity area is not quite big enough... and #2 THe Market - was bare ( I felt like Old Mother Hubbard- went to the cubbard.. and all the shelves were BARE! LOL. Good Parking, good views. I definitely liked my stay here at the Marriot. P.S., on the Sunday when the girls couldn't get drinks at the Hotel, they ( the Hotel) shuttled them over to the Outback for late night drinks. Big Plus Plus Plus :) read more

The decor of the rooms and lobby is definitely nice. The bartender at the Giatu bar in the lobby was fantastic as well. My two issues: I got another person's restaurant tab charged to my room under my name, and it wasn't until the front concierge went through every restaurant receipt from that day that it was removed from my room. The inside of this hotel lobby is beautiful, and it is readily accessible from the airport via rental car. The service staff was so friendly when I walked in, and took time to greet me as I walked across the lobby, even though they were busy cleaning and setting up the ballroom. The rooms are clean and the bed was nice. Pool is pretty. The restaurant was yummy, the drinks are decent, and the staff was friendly. I also loved having a mini fridge and a safe in the room (big enough for a laptop and then some). There are several restaurants within walking distance (across busy streets), and there is a Walmart nearby for incidentals. The WiFi is only free in public areas, unless you're a Bonvoy member, and even then they may still charge you (see below). My disappointment and rating comes from the interactions I had with the front desk. I'm not sure what was going on, but I was barely greeted when I walked up. I previously made a reservation via a third party, and while they recognized the reservation, they seemed confused when I mentioned that we were part of the Bonvoy rewards program. At other Marriott hotels, as recently as June, it was never a problem and we just gave them our number when we checked in. When I gave the lady working the front desk my Bonvoy rewards number, it came up under my husbands name and I was questioned if my husband was joining me. I was not offered any rewards benefits: no WiFi, no water, even though our rewards balance stated that we'd earned it. The front desk person told me that we needed at least 11 more stays to qualify, when the website says that even with 0 stays in the last year, we should, at the very least, have been offered free WiFi in our rooms. The room I was given was near the elevators, and when I asked for a different room, due to the noise level in the area, I was told that they were booked (it happens)...repeatedly and that I would have to deal with it. I felt like I was chastised for having the audacity to waste her time. Overall, this hotel is pretty, and the rooms (while admittedly dated), seem clean and the beds were acceptable. They aren't super quiet, but again, I was placed near the elevator. Be wary of the front desk service, or try the Marriott downtown. Honestly, it could've just been the staff working the evening shift. Perhaps if I were part of the BMW program or a gold member, I would've been treated differently. I expected more from a hotel carrying the Marriott name, but this place just didn't deliver. read more
