I stayed at the Greenville Marriott for a weekend conference in Spring 2022. It's perfect for hosting or attending a conference or for business travel. Our group reserved a block of rooms for a very reasonable price, and the hotel staff took care of all of our needs during the conference. Even though our stay was only two nights, our rooms were cleaned, and coming "home" to a freshly made bed and fluffy new towels was impressive. All toiletries we needed were provided and definitely a step above the quality that other hotel chains provide. The free coffee in the morning and fruit-infused water in the afternoon were wonderful, and the Marriott Bonvoy complimentary internet worked well for our conference and for the entire stay. No WIFI issues is a win! This location is convenient to I-85, downtown, and tons of restaurants. Walgreens is within walking distance if you forget something or need snacks. We hung out at the outdoor pool area in the evenings and had a blast- the hotel was fine with us hanging out in the chairs and under the bar after hours, as long as we stayed out of the pool itself. The only reason I didn't give four stars is because the room walls are paper thin. When trying to nap one afternoon, I could hear and make out a conversation outside. I would gladly stay here again but use a white noise machine to drown out the sounds.

    Bed bugs

My room had bed bugs, the fact there was no room service on Saturday or Sunday, also they have no airport shuttle service for 06:00a flights, their elevator broke down leaving stranded on the 5th floor, because a couldn't take the stairs due to my disability. Then being told that if I needed the Fire Department to come help me get down, I would need to call, because they aren't going to do so.

I am more used to rate restaurants rather than hotels but I think it may help people if we keep ratings on YELP broad. Not the first time staying here and a typical Marriott standard. The hotel appears to be old but remodeled multiple times. The rooms are spacey just the bath tub was tiny. Everything looked clean every day. I haven't done in the restaurant and not ordered any food at the bar or to my room. Breakfast is difficult to judge dieting COVID as the offerings are limited. The bar did close early but the staff was very engaged. The house red Cabernet had a reasonable good quality. Check-I'm was simple, fast and convenient - same as checking out. Just the Wi-Fi is too complicated to log in. Visit was 11/17/20 to 11/20/20.

2.5 stars - it's time for better room renovations! ------------------ We were here for an event, had reasonably high hopes due to the stellar reputation of the Marriott brand. However, even though the lobby was newly updated, this property could benefit from major room renovations. See photos. 1. The room thermostat stayed at 68 degrees, even though the thermostat was adjusted up. Way up. 2. The hot water boiler took way too long to heat up. So, we were showering in cold water for a few minutes until it fired up. Not fun when the room is blowing cool air, and outdoor temperature was in the 30's. 3. The bathroom ceiling was VERY low, and the rims of the ceiling light were crooked. 4. The outlet literally came out when we unplugged our device. LOL - talk about a quick and dirty renovation job! 5. The flat screen TV in the elevator (no photos) looked upscale - until my friend accidentally pushed it off its mounting screws and almost had the whole thing fall off and break. I mean, really?!?! It's like a poorly done flip. C'mon Marriott, you can - and should - do better!

We stayed here as part of the BMW Performance Delivery Center pick up. The hotel picked us up in an X5 and took us to lunch and the mall, the drivers were very accommodating. There is a lot to do in the area, restaurants, Top Golf, Go-Carts, etc. Dinner was exceptional, if I lived in the area I would skip local restaurant lines and eat at the hotel. The service and food was impeccable. Since BMW picked up the tab we had a prix fixe menu, salmon bisque (or salad), my son had filet mignon and I had the unicorn fish, chocolate cake and chocolate mousse cake, and 2 alcohol drink tickets. There was a breakfast buffet, but we skipped it, other guests said it did not disappoint. The staff was amazing from drivers, front desk attendants, and wait staff. Thank you for a great stay. Oops I forgot since I am a foodie...the rooms were updated, the TV had a welcome message with my name which was cool, the beds were comfy, and the room clean.

Staff is friendly and we got front parking so no complaints there. Inside of the hotel is beautiful. We were greeted immediately. We walked to our room and they said they were going to have someone drop off our stuff which was nice. We had an executive suite on the 6th floor. Room was beautiful and had a nice view. I walked into the bathroom and I noticed there was water all over the floor. My husband noticed that there was a leak from the toilet. We called immediately and they had someone come up to check it out as well as another person get our stuff and took us to the 7th floor. You have to use a special key to even get on the 7th floor so we did feel special. The room looked exactly the same with a nice view as well. Checkout process was a breeze. No issues there. We would definitely stay there again when we are in town.

When trying to pay for this venue, we hit some snags financially since I was in between jobs. I would call at least a week in advance to let her know if a payment would be delayed. (This only occurred twice) Even with the notice Starlina was very rude and not flexible at all. We tried to let that go, and we did. We did notice that she only seemed concerned after we paid. She was not friendly at all until she was paid in full. Then we wanted more dance lessons to show off. We forked out for those lessons too! When we realized our budget was getting out of hand we tried to reason with her. Now full disclosure here, yes in the venue contract it says no refunds. But here is our problem with that. We just let her know yesterday about our change in plans because of budget. Our wedding was not even going to be until October 2016 and we booked her in August of 2015. Well over a year in advance and we cancelled well in advance as well. She did not even want to do a refund even on the dance lessons, which no contract was ever signed saying we could not get our money back. (We only did 3 out of 10 lessons) What seemed so outrageous is that anytime we tried to schedule lessons, she was ALWAYS BOOKED!!! I would get off work at 5pm but we had our dances at 7:30pm. Then every time we talked to her or other customers it seemed she always had some kind of event going on almost all week! So we knew she had plenty of time to fill the day with another event and fill our unused lesson days with other people. The thing about all of this is that we were not even asking for all of it back, at the very least we only wanted half back. Plus, the 2 times I met her mother she would be rude to her in front of me. Be family and do what you do, but be professional in front of customers, no speaking down to your mother! Now she is mad about the review on Wedding wire and disputed it. Good luck because I will just do this every where else! Oh and before she tries to say she offered to help us with the dance lesson money back, she only did so after I told her I would post a review and let people know our experience! (I have the email to prove it!)

That was a waste of space and seating. Bar had a good selection of wine and beer, and the server was attentive. The bad...this was a show with 3 acts, the best and most popular for last. We sat through the first two and were excited for the third and that's when the disappointment hit. Seems that the third act and sound man were disagreeing over the set sound. As some one who has worked in the field and worked a sound board, I'm really putting the blame on the sound guy that couldn't handle it. I understand musicians are cocky and want things a certain way, but don't work with creatives if you can't handle it. The sound guy pissed the singer off, turned all the lights on bright, and essentially caused it all to end early. Sorry, we pay money for the act, not an event employee to have a fit. The audience was confused and after speaking to several other attendees after, they too were confused and disappointed. Some had driven from Charlotte and Asheville for this concert. As others have mentioned people will stand right in front of you even if your sitting. Make a standing area in the back. Being handicapped, I'm also surprised that they let a food truck use the handicapped designated spaces near the entrance. Seriously considering not going back and skipping any more shows here. I love supporting local, but don't appreciate how their artist conflict was handled.

The staff was helpful upon arrival and responsive to questions I had prior to my stay, which I appreciated. Service was friendly and professional. The hotel overall is decent. The lobby is clean and the facility appears updated, though the finishes and overall execution feel somewhat underwhelming compared to the level I typically expect. It's not poorly done -- just not at the standard I've grown accustomed to. The guest room was adequate. The bed was comfortable enough for a short stay, but the bathroom and sink area fell short of expectations in terms of design and quality. It's an old school bathtub. My door to my room had a big gap which light up my entry. One positive is the location -- it's conveniently situated approximately 10 minutes from the airport, which makes it practical for quick business trips or early departures. Overall, this property works well if you're in town for meetings -- a place to sleep and head out early the next morning. However, for a more elevated or memorable stay, it may not fully deliver.

My husbands friend married inside the area with a beautiful staircase. The groomsmen and bridesmaids lined each side of the staircase, while the maid of honor and best man stood next to the bride and groom at the stop of the staircase with the officiant in the middle. There were chairs in rows at the bottom and at the banisters on both sides at the top where I was sitting there were chairs. Either way everyone had a good view of the lovely couple. It probably sat around 50 or 60 people. The reception took place I believe in the gazebo. It was beautiful with the hanging chandeliers. My only gripe is there were like 10-12 chairs at the tables. There should really only be 8 people sitting at a round table. Fortunately the grounds were so beautiful that people were sitting around the fountain outside and the chairs and tables around the gardens. The food was AWESOME! There were two stations with different food. I only tried one because after I had the shrimp and grits, there was no need for me to go to the other side. It came with a spring salad. Their ranch dressing was on point and so were the rolls that went along with it. They had servers taking up plates and glasses and serving cake. Towards the "dancing portion" of the evening they dimmed the lights and it was still really beautiful. I believe they had to use the house DJ??? If they did. He was all over the place with music. Temptations, soft rock, pop, Beyoncé, Sade, more soft rock. I don't know if this was at the request of the couple or if he was catering to the mixed crowd. It got a little better after dinner when he started playing more music that people could actually dance to. The bathroom was clean with good smelling soap and lotion. I mean all the little details were great. Even the lady who provided "What's happening next" after the ceremony... Where to go, how long stations would be open, etc. there was plenty of parking with barely any walking.... Which I needed considering how far along I am. If you're looking for a small to medium venue to hold a wedding or elegant affair, this is your place. Not sure how much it cost but I'm sure everyone walked away wowed by how everything was beautifully set up and put together. I believe when you use their place, you of course also get to stay there for the night for free.
