I'm not usually a fan of thin-crust pizza, but Mama Lou's changed my mind…read more Me and my fabulous hubby were in the mood for some pizza, and Mama Lou's had captured my husband's interest for a while. We visited it for our anniversary, and the Italian bistro interior was truly captivating. They had some watercolor advertisement prints, a nice wine rack, and other touches to sell the bistro atmosphere. The supervisor, Mark, was extremely engaging, and along with our server, Aira, made sure that our visit was stellar. We enjoyed talking with Mark very much. We chose to eat the spinach and artichoke dip, the mozzarella sticks, and two fourteen-inch pizzas. I LOVED the pepperoni pizza. It had a spicy, addictive sauce that really gave it oomph. The assorted meat pizza was great, but I'm not the biggest fan of Canadian bacon. It was still delicious but didn't wow me as much as the pepperoni did. The thin crust delivered on its promise: tender dough under the toppings with a crisp, cracker like crust. We truly enjoyed the experience. The dip had this baked cheese crust that really elevated the taste, and was served with fluffy, flour tortilla, fried chips. This dish was my second favorite next to the pepperoni pizza. The mozzarella sticks were also amazing, with what seemed like hand breading. I'm used to the kind of mozzarella sticks you get in diners, so these sticks tasted a bit... classier? I think that's how I'd describe it. Anyway, I invite you to give Mama Lous in the Nuvali Solenad Mall a try. I think you'll be happy you visited.

It was cooked medium and I guess I shouldn't ordered medium to begin with and a steak on a filipino guised italian restaurant. Service of course is not good but works when I wave my hand for 2 minutes :)

Yellowcab is pretty much the go to place for anyone who is craving pizza! I've been here so many…read moretimes, and I've ordered from them too.. Let me tell you, I've liked every single experience I've had eating food from Yellowcab is always a great one. Being the seafood lover that I am, I usually order their Roasted Garlic & Shrimp pizza and it is pretty much my favorite pizza that Yellowcab offers. My next favorite pizza is their Corona Chicken Salsa pizza! It's pretty much Chicken, tomato and mozarella, and they serve this pizza with slices of lime which you squeeze on the pizza..... and have a taste of one really awesome pizza. I can't put into words how much I love this pizza of theirs! And my third favorite pizza of theirs, when I want to eat something that contains purely vegetable would be the Dear Darla pizza! Other than pizza, my recommendations would be their Twice Baked Potato Halves, their Hot Wings, and their Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta!

Everybody knows how delicious their New York style pizzas are. But Yellow Cab is more than just a…read morepizza place, so this time I would like to rave about their unsung heroes. For starters (literally), their soup is really creamy. My dad prefers the tomato soup while we love the squash. It's not super thick, but they have the right amount of broth and flavor. Then there's the pasta. It usually plays second fiddle to their pizza, but the Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta is really fantastic. The noodles taste good with the sesame oil and nuts. We tried something similar in a more expensive restaurant and it was not nearly as nice. Their baked potato halves is super sinful (potatoes, Mozzarella cheese and BACON) especially when you put sour cream on top, but we love it. This is my family's default place when we can't decide where to eat, or if it's too late and other dining establishments are already closed (they're open 24 hours).

Shakey's bathroom are beyond reproach in terms of cleanliness and amenities. The food we ordered was good, and the lobby was clean and well organized. The issue I experienced was extremely poor service. Once we got seated, our server pretty much forgot us. After about 15-minutes we waved our menus until someone came over and took our order. It was a completely different person. We can understand that slight oversight in ordering because it was Friday night and getting moderately busy. Shortly after ordering we got our food. Everything tasted great. One issue was our chicken and spuds basket only had five pieces of potatoes to go with three pieces of chicken. Not what one would expect. During our dinner, no one came over to check on us or see if we needed anything. That is kind of common outside of the USA, so we weren't too concerned. But after we ate our dinner, no one came brought us our check. We were seated at the back of the restaurant at the end of a line of booths. It's not exactly a large lobby nor is the booth obstructed by a wall or a beam. It was just poor service. This is the issue that is most infuriating because other guests were being brought their checks and/or "doggie bags." Several of those guest were in close proximity to us. We were simples overlooked or ignored. After about 20-minutes we got up and walked to the entrance and waited for a host. We could have easily walked out and not paid. That is how unnoticed we were. Finally an employee walked up to us, the original one that seated us, and asked if we wanted seated. We finally paid our bill and asked to speak to a manager. I'm not sure we spoke to a manager, a lead server, or just someone trying to hide any issues from management, but an employee did show up. I explained our problem. The reaction we got from the "manager" was aloof. I explained my concerns and issues and he looked at us with a bored sleepy expression. He just kept repeating "sorry sir." He didn't offer an explanation, nor attempt to make it right by seeking to address the issues. He did nothing to keep our business for a future date. I don't think I'll go to Shakey's again.
