I came here with my family and we were a group of 6. After doing a ropes course in Nuvali we were exhausted and starving! Luckily we were seated right away. To share we ordered: Appetizer Combo: Meh, just a bunch of boxed fried stuff i.e. onion rings and chicken wings with sausages and bland af nachos. Chicken Wings: I don't eat chicken so I can't comment on the taste, but my cousins devoured them. Oriental Salad: I opted to get this with the dressing on the side in fear of overdressing and I throughly enjoyed it! My Aunt decided to get one too after seeing mine. Happy to have opened my families mind to eating healthier. Goat Cheese Pizza and Mama Lou's Special Pizza: My cousin commented that this pizza "changed her life". I can't go as far as claiming that, but I will say that this pizza is nothing like I've ever had. It's so thin, it's like eating chips. They serve the pizza alongside some spinach and pea sprouts. You're meant to roll it up and dip it in balsamic vinegar with olive oil. I loved this concept! Also you don't feel guilty at all for eating 4, okay maybe 5 slices. Mama Lou's Iced Tea: Now this was some fancy iced tea mixed with tarragon and mint. It was quite frothy as well giving you that luxurious feeling. It was sweet nonetheless and was more of a treat. My family also shared a seafood pasta and another with alfredo sauce, however I didn't try any of it but they seemed to have enjoyed it. In all, I would dine at Mama Lou's again! The food came out rather quickly and the service was nice.

    Escargot! Yummy!

Right on! I am a fan! The servers were very friendly and checked in on us at least once during the meal which was nice, though I think it was to refill the wine glasses more than to check in. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant experience. The rib eye was a thin cut, I have yet to see a thick cut in the PH, and I've seen some restaurant photos on Yelp that lead me to believe there are a few, however, I don't feel like paying $60 to $100 for a thick cut of steak when I know I've only paid around $50 at the Palm back in the States or even Morton's... You know it's just one of those things that you say to yourself... Yeah, I'm not paying that. However, back to the steak... It was really quite good. Seasoned and prepared to my asking of medium rare. Nice job, I really enjoyed the tenderness and taste. The steak was crazy tender. The seafood pasta was also very good, al dente but not quite. The dish had great texture and the flavors came though from the shellfish to the prawns. We were very happy with the dish, apparently, this is one of their top sellers. Escargot... Yeah yummy. Prepared in butter and garlic as usual... I imagine there are only a few ways to cover up that earthy snail taste. I'll be coming back for more of this, I certainly enjoyed the flavors that came through on this dish. Also really happy they serve California Central Valley wines! I'm a fan of the central cost wines, although not exactly top shelf, not exactly bottom of the barrel either. Nice. Really enjoyed the bottle. Overall, I'll be visiting again and trying out some of their other fares. If you're in the area, you should give this place a go, right next to the outlet mall in Laguna, it's an after shopping treat! Stay Hungry my Friends! a la cuisine!

Ambience- cozy, casual Bring your- family and friends Pros- Fast Service, Happy and Helpful Staff. if you like cheese, they have poutine (fries with mozzarela cheese, optional addition of bacon), Burger steak with melted cheese inside (can order with rice or mashed pot). They have pretty good serving size. Cons- a bit pricey for the taste. Could get better tasting food at a lower price elsewhere-- especially for the pastas (pesto and carb) and pizzas.

Very friendly and attentive staff. They will really see to it that you are having a good time and feeling comfortable. Even got free ice cream on the house for no reason at all. They will go the extra mile. And of course the food was great! Tried the chicken pesto risotto and the Italian sardine pasta. Will definitely go back.

This place can be easily missed if you're along Sucat road because it's quite discreet-looking and has no parking. But inside is a different story--the vibe is reminiscent of Bellini's. It's cozy, homey, and filled with Italian-themed decor, a leaning tower of Pisa, and so on. You'll forget that you're in bustling, polluted Sucat road! We got the Aglia Oglio Pasta, and a Mushroom Risotto (that they made vegan just for me! Just ask nicely). Both dishes were really topnotch and exceeded our expectations (though to be honest, we had none at this particular time. I mean, any meal after a 10-hour trip from Vigan, Ilocos will be satisfying). Their servers are very accommodating, and at that time they were offering us these really fresh, gigantic portobello mushrooms they had that looked so tempting (but were quite pricey--though to be honest, I STILL think about that moment. What if we had gotten those mushrooms?!?! WHAT IF). Just like Bellini's, at the end of your meal you are treated to a complimentary jigger of Italian sweet wine. Bellisimo!

There are a lot of reasons I'm glad I'm alive, and one of them is Restaurant Verbena. One really can't expect anything less than wonderful from the restaurant of one of Tagaytay's premier luxury bed and breakfasts, so I have been longing to try their take on country fare with a local twist. I certainly wasn't disappointed with our meal, which started with their mozzarella and tomato starter, served fondue style with warm focaccia. We then had Caesar salad, which was interesting because the lettuce leaves was still intact with the stem (not entirely sure if it's called the stem though). We chopped the leaves and mixed the dressing and thin slices of cheese before devouring the delectable salad. For our mains, we had their brick chicken, which as we were told is cooked in a pan and having a hot brick placed on top of it for it to have its distinct flavor. It's served with sweet potato puree and a mix of capers and sundried tomatoes that was incredibly yummy. As if that wasn't enough, we got the black truffle mushroom risotto with bits of bacon. Goodness gracious, it was one hell of a dish. To end our meal, I felt like I had prima ballerinas dancing in my mouth when I devoured their chocolate marquise with pistachios, which was a cross between a chocolate mousse and a creamy ganache.

I remembered to take a photo of the pizza, but completely forgot to snap a picture of the spaghetti because we were so hungry and excited to dig in--LOL! The food was absolutely delicious. The highlight for me was their special Gino's Spicy Honey that they recommend drizzling over the pizza. I had never heard of or tried spicy honey on pizza before, but wow--it was amazing! The sweet and spicy flavor paired perfectly with the pizza and created a combination I'll definitely be craving again. Great food, friendly service, and a wonderful dining experience.
