The food was delicious I had a craving for fish so I ordered fish and chips. Being from the Midwest I was looking for catfish . The service was good and accommodating. I noticed customers coming in to get the sushi that was fresh and it was actually being prepared while we waited for our food. I went with an Amazing tasting lobster roll, accept, I cut my mouth not once, but twice biting into it because they didn't remove the hard Cartlidge from the claw meat. My advise- Eat the lobster roll with a fork! I was surprised to find that they did not take the time to remove the Cartlidge for that price. read more

We came to this place primarily to pick up some fish to cook for dinner, but also decided to get lobster rolls for lunch while there. We were overall really impressed! As far as the fish market goes, they have a wide selection of high end fish. We were looking for a certain type of fish for a recipe that they didn't have, but they were really helpful at picking an alternative. We ended up splurging and getting the Chilean sea bass which was great. They have a pretty good selection of prepared foods, from seafood salads, soups, to sushi and poke bowls. They also had some other non seafood items that were prepared behind the counter as well as some packaged items. They will cook certain things fresh for you (I'm not even sure exactly all you can get) and we decided to go with the ct style lobster roll. The lobster was super fresh and the roll was done in a minimalist style which i appreciated. It came with fries and coleslaw which were both good. This is a very clean, very high end fish establishment in Greenwich Connecticut. There are a number of fish stores in town, but I have to say that the staff is well-informed and so helpful about recipes, cooking temperatures, taking the bones out without you even asking and the freshest fish in town. another benefit is the excellent sushi that I can count on all the time whether it's vegetarian or fish sushi it is fresh and delicious every day. There is also a huge selection of vegetables so I don't need to go to a second store. There are even some dessert items on the countertop. The newest wonderful items are their Spanish dips that are so great with their freshly made tortilla chips. I can't suggest this place more. Enjoy! read more

I have visited Greenwich Fish Company since they opened. I am always satisfied with the quality and the customer service I receive. The venue is pristine and spotless inside and out. It is conveniently located on the post road with plenty of parking. There fish is always fresh like there sushi. I recently had a large order of sushi and shrimp cocktail for a large party. A gentleman by the name of Fredy assisted me with the process of ordering and delivery. Dealing with Fredy was hassle free and painless he answered all of my questions. My guest were all impressed on the quality of the fish and shrimp. Nothing less than spectacular. This is the only fish market I visit in Greenwich. Yes, I know Spring Holidays were last month, but the food these people put out has romanced me since then. The best shrimp platter and smoked lox I have ever - yes, ever, had. And before you think it, I usually hit NYC LES for all that surrounds bagels. We visited Riverside relatives and were blown away by the fresh quality and beautiful presentation. OMG. The Greenwich Smoked Fish Dip is beyond delicious. I've been enjoying Fjords dip for many years, but lately it's been a little lackluster, not as flavorful. The GFC's dip meets all expectations. I'm now a convert. I don't frequent specialty shops due to high cost, but the GFC is always a pleasant experience. I get great quality fish from knowledgeable mongers. I'm taking the time to write a review because so many restaurants we love go out of business. The GFC has real possibility and I want to see them succeed. The fish dinner with vegetables is a great idea. When I'm paying $20 for fish and vegetables only I'm expecting the vegetables to be above average. They were diced zucchini that were soggy. My friend on a different occasions got the fish dinner and threw all the vegetables away. This dinner also needs a rice add on. Not sure I'd go back. read more

Nothing exceptional. Very expensive, decent selection, clean, staff is nice, but there are many other places, just as good for lot less money. They need to lower the prices if they want to exist. I have always been a very loyal customer of fjord, so it took me a while to try the new seafood place that opened up nearby, but so glad I did, and wish I had done so sooner! So far Have had the sushi twice and it is next level. First visit, we ordered a complicated 20 piece sashimi platter, the sushi chef himself took the order over the phone, and to my surprise got the entire order exactly right! Some examples of sashimi in the order: yellowtail, salmon belly, etc- pretty specific. Not only was it accurate, but perhaps more importantly, the sushi was fresh, they offered a great variety, and the presentation was beautiful. This is despite the fact that they were VERY busy on Saturday when I ordered, which I was happy to see. Went back for a second time in as many days, and ordered a make-your-own poke bowl. This time I created a bowl with salmon, crab stick, avocado, mango, fish egg, cucumber- it was fabulous- super fresh, not fishy at all (the salmon at the poke bar at fjord was oftentimes fishy), and again beautifully presented. I also ordered two pieces of ikura (salmon roe) sushi which were made for my order and a great compliment to the poke bowl. And they brought it out to my car! This will be a new lunch go-to for us.
