Very small and easy to find who you're looking for. My friend earl is buried here and I appreciate the cleanliness of it.

Guy was with me every step of the way thru this painful process. Nothing was too challenging for Lohman's. I spoke with several personnel: Guy, Laura and another lovely lady, her name escapes me at the moment. Every person I came into contact with was considerate, informative and patient. such a sad time in life, but they got me thru it all. Thank you! I am so very grateful. Sincerely; Pat M.

August 30, 2024 An Open Letter to My Community:…read moreOn August 23, 2024, my grandfather, Thomas A. Cambre, a 94-year-old United States wartime Navy Veteran was grossly DISHONORED during his burial by Lohman's Funeral Home located at 1423 Belleview Avenue in Daytona Beach, FL. under the direction of Ms. Tami Vanyo. I am writing to you - the community of which I have been born and raised in - the community to which I serve as a pastor to - in order to share my experience in the hope that no one else receives the extraordinary lack of professionalism, care, honesty, and respect that a grieving family deserves. Below is an excerpt of the letter that I mailed to Lohman's Funeral Home and to every member of the Board of Directors with their parent company Everstory Partners on August 29, 2024: I serve as one of the pastors at Daytona Beach Drive In Christian Church, where I have been on staff for twenty-one years. I was born and raised in the Daytona Beach area and now have eight family members buried in Daytona Memorial Park. To have been mistreated in such a mortifying manner by one of the largest funeral service providers in this area has been disheartening and incredibly upsetting. I will not be recommending your funeral services to anyone, and, in fact, will be telling anyone and everyone who will listen to me of my dirt-poor experience with your company. As a pastor, I am well-versed in caring for families during times of loss, conducting funeral services, and the work that it takes to make it all happen. The extraordinary lack of professionalism exhibited by your company from the moment we walked into your facility to the conclusion of my grandfather's burial is simply unacceptable and, in my opinion, the community that you are supposed to serve needs to know about it. Not only was my family disrespected, but my grandfather, a wartime United States Navy veteran, was dishonored by your company's failure to provide Military Honors at his graveside. My family deserves these wrongs to be made right - as right as physically possible. Ms. Vanyo failed us literally from the beginning of making the arrangements until my grandfather's casket was lowered into the ground. My family and I had to constantly follow up to ensure that things like submitting an obituary to the paper, selecting the casket, telling her where the florist delivered the flowers to HER place of business, to getting the correct guest book in place on the day of the service - all services that were pre-paid for. With a week and a half to prepare for our arrival on the day of his funeral, Ms. Vanyo and her associates failed to provide both the services and the dignity we deserved. This failure culminated at his gravesite when she blatantly lied to our faces and told us that "The Navy didn't show up [to provide Military Honors]. This has happened a few times before. Maybe it was traffic or an accident." I have written proof from the US Navy that Ms. Vanyo NEVER made the request for the US Navy to be present. Again, I write this to you, my community, to warn you of the inept experience I've had with Lohman's Funeral Homes in Daytona Beach so that, when you are looking for funeral services for your loved one, you will consider utilizing a different company and not have to risk enduring the shoddy and unprofessional services of this company. Respectfully, Reverend Melissa Frantz
