From the front desk (Sophia) and all the staff that I have seen there, they go out of their way to know you and show that they care. Currently I see both Dr Brendan, Dr Kathryn (physical therapists) and Dr Evely (chiropractor) there and I appreciate all their knowledge and wisdom in my recovery process. I really don't think I would have progressed in this long season of post-surgery recovery. I truly appreciate their individualized approach and care while also encouraging me to not be discouraged in this season of my life physically. You can tell they put the client first and you feel valued and they truly listen to how you are doing each week and try to tailor the exercises and therapy based on how you feel. For physical therapy, I get a lot out of a one 30 minute session versus a larger run-of-the-mill physical therapist clinic who see many clients at one time where they often use a cookie-cutter approach. I also like how they incorporate the manual therapy techniques in their sessions besides just the exercises. For chiropractic care, I have been doing the ultrasound and regular adjustments for my back and knee. The table they also use really helps to align my hips and lower back. Both for chiropractic and physical therapy care, they also have used various manual therapy techniques like cupping, massage gun, stretching and manipulation techniques which have all helped in my journey to recovery. There was a small calcium build up but no surgery needed. The pain came and went. At 1 point it was gone for a good month or so. But then it came back. And it came to stay. My daughter was diagnosed with a tongue tie at birth, but we didn't start noticing issues until she was about three weeks old. By four weeks, we made the difficult decision to have her tongue tie clipped with the help of a lactation specialist. After the procedure, my daughter struggled to latch and breastfeed. I felt defeated and questioned whether I had made the right decision. That's when I reached out to Rochester Family Chiropractic--and I'm incredibly grateful they were able to get us in to see Dr. Kelsey Pierce. Dr. Pierce provided outstanding support and care. Over the next few weeks, she worked with my daughter to strengthen her oral muscles and release built-up tension in her body--two key factors that significantly improved her ability to breastfeed successfully. One of the things I really appreciate about Dr. Pierce is how thoroughly she explains each adjustment and exercise, along with the reasoning behind them. She also taught me exercises to do at home to maintain our progress between visits.
