When you live with chronic pain, there is no greater feeling than relieving or eliminating it! This place definitely delivers. Dr Josh has treated me most often. He is also trained in ART; an effective modality for breaking up muscular adhesions, especially helpful for individuals that need more than a quick spinal adjustment. It can be rare to find a chiropractor who knows and practices this modality. His adjustments are specific and intuitive. He also loves to teach and explain thoroughly what is going on in the body, and practices you can do at home to facilitate the healing process. I've been seen by Dr. Bethany as well. She is a chiropractor as well as an LMT, and my favorite massage therapist in Rochester! Leaving after a session with her is one of the only times I am ever in a completely relaxed and comfortable state. She's also a wealth of knowledge and passionate; with experience she is happy to share. The office staff is also great; and will go out of their way to help with insurance issues. After moving to Rochester, I randomly found East Ave Chiro on a random web search. I'm so glad I did! Good vibes and great treatments. read more

The LMT knew what she was doing, the pressure was right and I'm looking forward to my next massage in a few weeks. Visited as a new patient and was told if my insurance did not cover the treatment that it would be "$60 maximum." I agreed, went and got adjusted, paid the standard copay, and then left. When I got home I had a text message (of all things) from them saying I owed $135 because it was my first visit. Why was I quoted $60? Where did $135 come from? I responded with my disappointment and was talked down to and told it was their policy and that there was nothing to be done. I did report them to the BBB, as this is incredibly dishonest. Even Wegmans will eat the cost for medications that have been misquoted in their pharmacy. How can they possibly ask someone to pay a price they never agreed to, was never posted, or spoken of until after the fact? read more

Although the doctor and the massage therapist are great, I'm not a fan of the front desk staff. I called yesterday to make an appointment and the receptionist indicated that she could get me in on Wednesday at 11am. When I showed up today (Wednesday) for my appointment, she indicated that my appointment was next Wednesday - she never specified the date when I made the appointment. They couldn't fit me in the schedule, and it was a complete waste of my time. read more

I almost don't want to share a good review about this place because I want easy access to appointments for myself! However, I cannot say enough good things about the chiropractors here to express their value on my well-being. Dr. Rittenberg, Smith, and Roth are great. I typically get my neck and lumbar area manipulated every three to four weeks. I find them to be very specific with locating the muscles and nerve bundles that are usually affecting an area, too. I believe most, if not all, of the chiros here practice ART which is the primary reason I started going here. I have been going to a chiropractor since my twenties. After going to place in Webster for years, then a place in Brighton, I finally found this place and don't see myself leaving. I have gotten a few massages here too and would recommend any of the LMTs. It is helpful to get a massage and an adjustment all at the same place. The chiropractors will have a consult with the LMT beforehand, so everyone is on the same plan for providing relief and mobility to those areas that need it. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. I usually see Dr. Rae, but have also seen Dr. Greg and have had great results from both. I have had neck issues for the last 15 or so years and every other place I've gone has told me to come in when it flares up, at which point they would adjust my spine and send me on my way. The doctors at East Avenue Chiropractic take a full musculoskeletal approach, working on the muscles, tendons and spine. They explain what's happening, tell me why they're doing what they're doing, and give me suggestions for what to do at home. The girls behind the desk are fantastic as well. They communicate well and always get me in on short notice when needed. I can't recommend this place highly enough. read more

I'm updating my review based on recent visits this spring. I continue to see Dr. Rittenberg and when I make it to the table, I'm pleased with my care. However, in the past 2 months, I've had to leave twice before being seen because he was running so far behind schedule. I am not waiting 20-30 minutes for a 15 minute adjustment, especially when I come weekly. I understand that people get behind and Dr. Rittenberg spends a lot of time talking through things with patients, but my time is also valuable. read more

I was not a big believer and between solving Shoulder and neck issues and now addressing some early arthritis in the hip I don't think I could of found a better place for comprehensive care.
