The staff was very friendly and the restaurant itself was lovely. It had this old underground train station feel. We shared a tasty starter of whitebait and corn beef hash then I had bubble & squeak for my main, while my dad & friend tried the Manchester Steak (which is kind of like a very advanced burger) and my sis had regular steak and some excellent giant chips. Everyone liked their food and enjoyed the beautiful Victorian setting. We also enjoyed the house red, a cabernet sauvignon. Service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended for a classic English meal. I note other reviewers have disparaged the English food - don't come here if you think you're not going to like it, I would venture to suggest! It's not as refined flavour wise as many other cuisines, but if you want hearty comfort food, it's a great option.

Pizza Hut is accredited by Coeliac UK, meaning chances are you should be able to get a good gluten free meal with staff who know what they are doing, sadly this didn't seem to be the case. When I asked about the gluten free selection, the staff was a little cautious when talking to me about it, the original server who sat me down didn't seem to know anything other than the pizzas, another man did come over but he still didn't seem too knowledgeable, he just told me I couldn't have the chips and of course the pizza bases were frozen. Inside, there are some nice aspects to the decor, albeit most of the tables are quite high and there isn't a great deal of seating. In the end, due to the fact of the gluten free pizza bases being frozen, and the issue of there being no sides, I was basically just handed an allergy book and told to "get on with it", this was a shame, I didn't feel welcomed or anything of that nature which I'm sorry to report, hence I decided to eat at Dough Pizza Kitchen and had a decent meal, elsewhere in Manchester City Centre.

Usual good options on the menu with some new additions. The salad bar is also included with any pizza (free) or you can purchase it as a main. Pepsi is their downfall in my opinion but the multifunctional mix machine allows you to have flavoured pepsi, vanilla, lime etc (helps hide the taste seen as I am a Coke fan). Toilets clean but upstairs however there is a disabled toilet downstairs.

They mentioned that their menu changes frequently due to the seasons, but we are so happy and impressed with what was recommended to us by the waiter. Service was awesome, they were attentive, fast and the food of course was so good. I ended up ordering a Mocktail, and my husband and his friend ordered some alcoholic beverages. They absolutely really liked it, and the pricing was decent. One of my favorite dishes was definitely the cauliflower. You definitely have to try it.

It was quite busy at the time and was good ambiance ... not ton loud but a lot of people in having a good time. Being the first time, the servers said to order around 3 dishes each and share, and it comes out when it's ready rather than in any order. So we went for a charcuterie board, beef skewers, lamb, skewers, potato's bravas balls, and asparagus. Drinks were a house red, and espresso martini. The service was actually rather quick to come out and every single dish was amazing. It was a little bit expensive but it was totally worth it. 6 dishes, 2 wines, and 2 cocktails came to around £100

Even though it is a "chain", I like Mexican food and the person who is behind it won Masterchef years ago and there most be a reason why she has several branches of Wahaca around the country (I think about 27) and they have been around for more than 10 years. We decided to order a few things each and basically share. The friendly, helpful waitress, suggested how many of the different types of items to get per person. We got mostly tacos and was suggested to get either 2 each (plus a side) or 3 each. We had: Chargrilled steak taco Battered cod taco Carnitas taco (which was one of the specials) Plantain taco Buttermilk chicken taco Black bean & three cheese quesadillas Overall they all tasted good. I am not that big a fan of plantain so it just tasted OK. Also, I thought I didn't like black beans (I like the ones you have in Chinese dishes - the fermented dried ones) but I really liked the quesadillas. Maybe it was the combination with the cheese. The tacos were good - my favourite was the buttermilk chicken ones. (I didn't specifically say anything about coriander so luckily it was just mostly on the top of the tacos - and not too much. Phew!).

Situated in the upcoming revamped Corn Exchange building, you have a decent amount of seating in and outdoors (well a lot in the fake outdoors in the internal courtyard...) and it's bright, airy and generally doesn't feel too chainy. The food we had was all great - tasty crab and avocado tostadas, chicken tinga taco's and a really nice guac with nacho's. Having cooked a number of recipes (and the Tinga being a regular go-to meal) from Thomasina's cookery books, I still have to say mine taste better though ;-P Prices were fairly decent but the beer selection needs improving a lot. They just sell Mexican lager which isn't too shocking I can imagine but there's no other options in terms of beers and even Las Iguanas now sells Mexican IPA, Wheat Beers etc. Put it this way - I was wanting a beer but just decided to keep my money in my pocket and drink water. I'm sure I'll be back again regularly as it's the best restaurant Mexican in town (Pancho's will always be getting my casual burrito money though) - a welcome addition to the foodie scene.

The prices are all under £10 so very reasonable, and it's all mostly healthy food. They offer a takeaway option as well which is slightly cheaper in price. The waitress was very friendly here and the atmosphere was casual and not too noisy but not dead quiet either. The downside is that it took ages to get our food; 40 mins wait for my falafel bowl and my mums falafel wrap, which seemed awfully long for a small cafe. Just to note they do not serve non vegan stuff, not even dairy milk is available but they have lots of alternatives like oat, almond, soya and coconut. Don't expect traditional sushi here as this chain caters to more British-inspired and street food…read moredishes. The food is good and the service is pleasant though they do add a (removable) service charge by default. It's in the Arndale shopping centre so it's quite noisy and you definitely hear the music and announcements from the centre. Plenty of seats, both bar seating and booths. They have recently launched new deals including a pricey all you can eat option and a three-plates for a set price option on Mondays.

Now .. this review is based on my liking of sushi ... this was the first time I tried proper stuff…read moreBUT everything about the restaurant was fine so if you like sushi then BY ALL MEANS .. you'll not find a better place. On my trip, it was a little late to open as they had problems with the hot food service ... these things happen so I won't hold it against them ... so I got a seat straight away, the staff were extremely helpful and it felt good. I love the idea of food coming around and you checking it out on the menu and picking it up. First thing I picked up was some broccoli ... it was really nice .. the sauce it was in was awesome. I did kinda have an idea of what I wanted before hand so I just had to wait for it ... as it was just opening, things were a little slow to come around ... plus I was like at the opposite end of where the sushi chefs were so it probably all went anyways. I wanted the seared beef but it never came and, thinking about it now, it probably won't have come until the hot food part was working again ... by the time it was on, it was fuller so it would have taken a while and I'd already had 2 desert plates so going back to beef would have been weird I opted for the basic water .. it was so cool that there was a tap in front of me to get however much I wanted, when I wanted it. The downside was that it was tepid .. so maybe the cooling thing was bopped too or they hadn't turned it on I don't know. I finally tried my sushi and it was meh ... but this is me not really liking it so it could have been amazing. One downside for me was the soy sauce ... it was far too salty for my liking ... but I am used to having low sodium soy sauce at home so going to normal soy sauce is a big change. The desert plates were awesome .. I had a pancake with custard thing with a raspberry coulis and omg .. I wanted that coulis on everything ... I even did put it on the chocolate moochi that I also picked up ... the deserts were amazing but to go to a sushi restaurant for desert is weird. As I say .. if you like sushi then by all means go for it .. you'll love it ... but if like me you're not sure and wanna try it then go .. but look at what's on offer before hand to try it. It was also expensive .. but I guess sushi is. 4 plates cost me a little less than a burger and fries from solita and I couldn't finish the burger .. this left me slightly contempt but I snacked later. GREAT PLACE IF YOU LIKE SUSHI ... I can't stress that enough ... my review was because I found out I don't like sushi it seems. But I'm glad I tried it
